The Music Man Project Podcast

Coronation Chicken

The Music Man Project Season 1 Episode 1

The first episode of The Music Man Project Podcast, presented by founder and CEO of The Music Man Project charity, David Stanley.

The Music Man Project provides award-winning accessible music education and performance opportunities for children and adults with learning disabilities across the UK and around the world. These remarkable musicians have performed at the Royal College of Music, London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall. They broke the world record for the largest triangle ensemble, performed to Royalty and appeared on a national TV advert. The Music Man Project is also the foundation of PhD research at the Royal College of Music.

Every podcast will include news, music, interviews and lots of other exciting features and surprises. We will celebrate the achievements of all people with learning disabilities from around the world.

In this first episode we meet Music Man Project resident drummer, Daniel Camacho. Dan has been a member of the Music Man Project for over a decade. Dan and his Mum, Jackie, tell the story behind a "Remembering Bench" which helps people with learning disabilities cope with the loss of their friends.

We also chat to Jenny Hitchcock, Regional Director for The Music Man Project Essex and hear two classic Music Man Project songs - "Join Together" and a special recording of The Music Man Project theme song "Music is Magic" by Jemma Andrews.

And then there is the Coronation Chicken!
