Sometimes we are called to share the "unpopular" truth, and boy does it have it's ramifications! But it's in those times that we see people's true colors. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather be stuck in the mud instead of walking with the enemy!

As they say, "Never question who God removes from your life. He heard the conversations when you weren't around."

Whether it’s happening now or happened in the past, what situation did you feel as if you had been left behind in the mud? Were you angry at God, yourself, or others?

Jeremiah 38:4-6 MSG

These officials told the king, “Please, kill this man. He’s got to go! He’s ruining the resolve of the soldiers who are still left in the city, as well as the people themselves, by spreading these words. This man isn’t looking after the good of this people. He’s trying to ruin us!”

King Zedekiah caved in: “If you say so. Go ahead, handle it your way. You’re too much for me.”

So they took Jeremiah and threw him into the cistern of the king’s son. They lowered him down with ropes. There wasn’t any water in the cistern, only mud. Jeremiah sank into the mud.
