Monique Blokzyl:

Hi Wendy. Very good. I'm sure in current times can only be good, right?

Wendy Jones:

Oh, great. You've got to be good, don't you? That's for sure. We're in Germany this week. It's been a whistle stop tour on the on the writing and Marketing Show because we were in Jamaica last week.

Monique Blokzyl:

Oh, okay, that sounds like a place to be right now.

Wendy Jones:

Well, it's sunny in Jamaica. It's not sunny in Scotland. Well, it's an absolute pleasure to have you here. And I'm excited to have you on the show because you've got so much wisdom, and so much that you can share with my listeners. So I think we should get on with the interview so that they can get all the knowledge and expertise you're going to give us today.

Monique Blokzyl:

I love it. And you know what, Wendy, it's not about you. It's not about me. It's all about them. So let's get going.

Wendy Jones:

Absolutely. That's for sure. So I'm going to ask you some questions. And in terms of we're talking about visibility. So I'd like to start with what can I do to get more visible and to stand out as an author?

Monique Blokzyl:

Well, me, I know that you're a brilliant author, right. And I know that you help great authors get their message out in a greater base. So, you know, a lot of people write books, and I didn't know, you know, I mean, I know you've worked with amazing experts, right? The thing is, you know, I don't know about if you've ever worked with an author where they get a brilliant book out, and then again, they're, you know, they're not even selling a lot of the books. I'm sure your authors are not like that at all. You know, as we know, it is like, I don't know how many how many books published every month, like 50,000 or something wrong with.

Wendy Jones:

There's something like 128,000 a day.

Monique Blokzyl:

I know you're the expert on that right. But, you know, it's you and I notice a lot of books being published. And then again, you know, I mean, there's so much work Going into it, there's so much wisdom going into it. And then people don't actually get it out there a great way. And the reason is because, you know, writing is one thing and getting your getting your wits on paper or on a screen is another. But really getting eyeballs onto your book onto your message is an entirely different story. So I know that being visible is quite a challenging thing for authors, because there's so many books being published. So you know, meaning that is me living in a loud, crowded world, right? There's so many books out there, there's so many experts out there on almost every topic. So what can you do to get more visible and to stand out as an author especially right? So you know, I mean, you know that I'm an author, and you know, that I'm also a speaker, and we have a saying in the speaking world, and that saying, Don't create a speech, create a process and then speak about it. The same with authors, right. And again, there's a little bit of a difference between being a fiction author and being an, you know, like a nonfiction author. Yeah. So especially, I'm now addressing nonfiction authors here, because I'm not really living so much in the world of fiction authors. But, you know, again, there's, there's probably other pros of how we get to get visible as a fiction author. But if you are,you know, a nonfiction author, and you write a book, because you want to bring your vism into divert, you want to support people, you know, take your book and take your wisdom and take your message and turn it into a process, you turn it into something that people don't only read about, but people really take concrete value out of it, because they take, take a hands on tips, they take away concrete suggestions of what to do with the wisdom in your book, right. It's also why I say to people that I work with and I work with a lot of an expert, enterpreneurs, like coaches, speakers, trainers, consultants office, and I always say to them, Look, don't just write a book, you know, create a process and turn it into a book. So you guide people through a process to go from point A to point B. Right, so let's say you write a book about how to get more visible as an author, you know, a lot of authors, you know, point A would be like, I have my book published, but I don't have a lot of people reading it. Then ask yourself, what can you do? You know, point B would be like, I'm visible. I'm a celebrated expert, and I'm a celebrated author. And people view at my door and publishing houses queue at my door to keep writing. And the question is, how do you get there in the first place, you need to get more visible? And how do you get more visible? There's so many ways, I'm going to talk about some of them here in more detail. But one way is, as I said, be an expert in the first place and show up as an expert. Speak, right? find opportunities. And I know at the moment, there's not a lot of spot life stages like you and I Wendy, we speak all over the globe normally, right? Yeah, there's a lot of life stages. But still, even more people are online right now. They're looking for your expertise. They're looking for your wisdom, they want to learn they want to grow, especially in the current times. So be an expert find online stage time opportunities there. Well, when he does a podcast, I'm running podcasts. There's a lot of podcasts out there, get out there get booked as a guest on these podcasts, online summits, right. So get booked on online summit speak there. You know, there's, you know, a lot of companies are running leadership events online right now, where they invite expert speakers go and get booked there. There's so many, like, there's probably about 100 different stage opportunities that I could mention, online in life, you can also create your own stage time opportunities, right? Create webinars, right? Even if you're a fiction author, create online readings of your book, right? People are looking for entertainment at the moment, right? You know that. And they're not only looking for entertainment, they're also looking to connect with people in a greater way. So build a community around your book and see how people can support each other. Right? Again, when you build communities. And by the way, just today, Wendy, there is actually a historic moment, right? I mean, one of the books that Paul returned to has actually published the power of why, and how to create communities and why is it a good idea to create communities and you've been one of the leading most amazing editors on that book. And by the way, so congratulate you for the amazing job you've done on my chapter and everyone's chapters, you've been a queen in that right? But again, so you know, it's a book about how you build a community. So how do you get visible, build a community and become the expert of experts, again, attract more people to you, right? I mean, these are just, again, you know, step up with your speaking step up, you know, build community to become an outstanding and visible expert, so you attract other people, right bird marketing partnerships. Get influencers to Promote your book, be on social media, there is like a zillion things you can do. But these are just some things to get our conversation going on what you can do as an author to be more visible, because you want to stand out. And guess what even if you do, if you only take one or two or three of the things I mentioned, you turn them into action, and you turn them into progress and results, you will send out compared to a lot of your author, author friends, and then competitors as well.

Wendy Jones:

That's brilliant. That's really good advice, actually. And, you know, first question, and it's jam packed full of advice already. This is gold dust. So both you and I know that when a book comes out, there's a lot of hype and everybody's excited. And, you know, but obviously, that's, that's just short term. You want long term. You know, long tail. Yeah, exposure. So how can I make sure that I keep selling my books, even when the first type is over?

Monique Blokzyl:

Yeah, it's such a fabulous question. Thank you. So, you know, the challenge is that, as you said, you know, when when a book is coming out, you know, there's a lot of hype around it, especially when it is like a book like the book that got published today, the power of wide a third edition on how to really grow a communities and memberships. You know, again, you know, especially when you have several people involved in the book, like in this case, it was like 39 authors so much combined and compiled wisdom, right? So again, what you can do is, you can keep the hype up on your side. So, let's assume he co authored the book with others, like the power of why you want to involve these people, there's so many things you can do to keep the hype app, right. If you think about like this book, 39 authors, every week, you could feature one of these authors and create a hype around that. So meaning that you already have like 39 weeks of hype, right? You can interview them, you can run webinars with those people, you can, you know, you can, you know, again, you can you can get them to cross promote each other and cross promote the book, right. I mean, there's so many things you can do. Also, let's say that you've written a book just entirely on your own. Right? Again, your book has a topic, your book is written about a theme, you want to bring your wisdom into the world. So again, take that topic, take that theme, and post about it. As I already said earlier, speak about it. Right? When people start raving about your book, start, you know, using these testimonials and referrals, and everything people say about your book, turn those into posts, right. So it gives you a lot of additional material. also create other ways of sharing your book, like all my expert friends, when they publish a book, shortly after they also speak it out. So it becomes an audio book, right? And then again, you know, like, every chapter of that book, you know, becomes like, you know, like, there, I have friends that run podcast, like one of our clients recently published a book and I'm proud to say that he turned you know, on the very first day he become became a best selling number one best selling author on Amazon has three categories, which is brilliant, right? And again, you know, his book is, you know, quite a lot of different chapters, I

Unknown:

think, you know, I

Monique Blokzyl:

don't know exactly how many, but it was around 4050. So again, if he just, again, you speak out one chapter, you already run a podcast, you know, on your book, over time, right. And again, you keep creating hype around that podcast, and guess what, on every podcast, you promote a book. So this, this client and friend that I just mentioned, that became a number one, Amazon best selling author, you know, he actually runs a podcast in itself. So again, you know, you can use the book and mentioned a book on the podcast on a regular basis. So it keeps the hype up. Also, you can, you know, there's a lot of other things that you can do that really trigger interest for the book again, and again, like one of my, one of my clients, for example, she's an artist. And what she does is she takes a book of an author in she kind of takes it apart. So again, you know, she takes individual chapters, she takes even like a sentence or something that is, that sounds like a quote and turns them into quotes. And then she adds actually her art you know, so she combines the wisdom of the message, which are visual art, and then they use that as an as material to promote things in a greater way. Right. And by the way, I have a friend and a client that do that in this way. So again, the book in itself, holds so much like in not only individual chapters, but like golden nuggets, right? You know, and, you know, or quotes or you know, other things, testimonials, all of that you can use Again and again and again and SSA online, you can share something up to seven, eight times. And if you do it, even if you do it in a short period of time, only then people will realise that it's been there already. Like I remember them. And I launched my podcast, my first podcast eight years ago, within five, six months, I had 20,000 listeners. And I kept going with the podcast for about two years. And then I got a little bit lazy and a little bit tired of it. And I just didn't make any new create any new interviews. But I actually took the interviews I had, and I post them several times over the following yours. That is what you can do with your book as well. Right. So again, just because the first hype is over, there's a tonne of things you can do. And I hope I shared some of the ideas with you to get your inspiration going. And, you know, I know I share a lot of hints and tips just pick, what do you feel is valuable for you that speaks to your heart and the greatest way that you feel? Oh my God, that's a great idea. Let me pick up that one. And you can listen to this podcast and get in touch, you know, and we can give you many more ideas. But you know, just to get you started this way.

Wendy Jones:

Now, they're great. I love the way you see that you need to leverage your initial impact. You know, and those paintings what a brilliant idea. I've got a friend who's a painter, I might need to get onto that one.

Monique Blokzyl:

Yeah, absolutely. Great.

Wendy Jones:

So you mentioned influencers earlier, just in passing? I'd like to unpick that a bit more. So how can I actually get influence influencers to promote my books?

Monique Blokzyl:

You know, what, Wendy, I know that you're actually a superstar of a networker, right? So, but for everyone here, that is not, you know, feeling comfortable with networking, what you want to do is you want to reach out to people, right? And you don't just want to reach out to anyone you want to reach out to people that are known in their field. Why? Because they're followed by quite a few 1000s, if not hundreds of 1000s if not millions of people, meaning that people always look at what are they doing? Right? You know, an example from the fashion industry, right? A lot of, you know, fashion producers, they sent their beautiful dresses, to celebrities to wear them because they know if celebrities wear them, they will share with the world were branded days, and it's actually giving the brand and you know, a booster. So and you can do the same with your books. So what you can do is again, you know, again, and what does do people in the fashion industry do, as I said, they make their their brand shine, but at the same time, they also make the celebrity shine, because everybody on that in that dress looks just amazing and feels good about it, and then speaks about it. So you want to do it in same day, right? You don't want to just network to network, what you want to do is, you know, and here's a concrete suggestion, you know, if you think about your book, okay, assuming you are already a published author, you know, and you want influencers to promote your books, what I suggest is make a list of 10 influential names, and say, these are the 10 people that if they would tell the world about my book, that would be just brilliant and amazing. Because again, if these influences then tell their network, about your book, and I'm sure your your book is really, really inspiring and holds a lot of golden nuggets, people would start speaking about it, and they were recommended to someone else. And as Wendy is so beautifully saying all the time going viral, right? It's one of the aims everyone wants to achieve, especially authors, right. So how do you actually do that? So once you have your list of these influencers, let's say no, think about if you don't even know all the influencers in my market, go onto social media platforms like LinkedIn, right? I mean, that's what I did a while back, I looked at LinkedIn in my own field, and I looked at who are LinkedIn influencers with the biggest number of followers. Okay, and then I started to have my name, right. So again, all you need to do is type in in the search function type in what your market is about. You know, like, for example, if you write books for about selling successfully, then say, okay, so sales influencers right, and you find them, you don't even need to go on LinkedIn, you can say greatnesses influencers on LinkedIn, and then you probably come up with a list and then again, you have your list, right? But you can also say, hey, there's probably some people in your field that you admire that you'd love to connect with that you'd love to promote your books. So what you want to do is you reach out to those people. And here comes the Golden Nugget suggestion. What do you want to do is you don't want to reach out to them, giving them the feeling that you're only you're only interested in them promoting your book. What you want to do is you want to connect with them, giving them the feeling that what they want is what you can give them right. So again, you want to find ways to give them what they want and one of things influences one is more influence, meaning they want to shine they also want to be more Visible? So of course you can do you know, I know, Wendy is one of your smart strategies as well, right? You, you follow their posts, you like their posts, you mentioned them your own articles and posts, you make them shine. If you run a podcast, invite them to be a guest guest at your podcast, right? Again, find ways, you know, try to really research them, if you cannot get in touch with them, you know, see who they are connected with and connect with the people they're connected with. Because when you build these kind of like what we call second, second tier connections again, they can then introduce you to their friends, namely the influencer, right? So again, find ways to support and I know Wendy, you are a lady with such an amazing, big hard, you're supporting people, you're uplifting people. And that's exactly what you do. You just again, you go to you approach these influences, yes, with your own clear intention in mind that you love them to promote your book. But then eventually, you drop that intention, and you're just there for them. And again, it's you know, I mean, it's the law of reciprocity, right? Yeah, the more you do for people do more than wanted to back for you. So, you know, again, you know, like, as I said, in the fashion industry, you know, you want to make a celebrity shine wearing your dress. Good. Okay, you are an expert in your field, how can you make these inferences shine, integrate away again, and again, and again, they will eventually pay attention if you cannot get in touch with them. Get in touch with someone around them. Right. So yeah, also, you know, when when when they say no, I don't want to work with you ask them. Here's another Golden Nugget suggestion, ask them. What would it take for you to do what you want them to do? For example, a couple of years ago, I wanted to have someone on my podcast and I wasn't nobody at a time no one knew me. It's eight years ago, right? And then he said to me, Monique, I'm not going to be on your podcast. I said, why not? What would it take for you to be a guest speaker on my podcast? And he said, I only speak on podcasts that have at least 1000 listeners per show. And then I said, Good. You know what, let me come back when I'm there. And he said, Fine. And guess what I think it was about two or three months later, I had more than 1000 listeners on my show. Sometimes I had 6000 listeners on my show. And again, I've been back and I knocked on his door and I said, Hey, Darren, you know what, I'm very now I'm fulfilling your criteria, would you mind? And he said, Yes, of course. And guess what, he even opened me incredible doors to other really inspiring speakers. Right? So this is what you want to do. Okay, so again, get clear on who are the influencers in your field, that you love to have your books promoted by, reach out to them find ways to give them what they want, make them shine? And don't do it once or twice and expect results? You know, stay on it, make them your new best friends, support them and find out what is it that they would they are interested in? And what are the conditions to actually do important with you? Right, so yeah, yeah, some golden nugget hints and tips. I hope they are. They're valuable to all of you. Great.

Wendy Jones:

They're really good. And I mean, I agree with the rest, you know, reciprocating, because usually, if you're nice to people, they're nice back. Right, right. So, excuse me, I've got a tickly throat I haven't got COVID i promise. Oh, taking a sip of tea, because I've been talking too much. And

Monique Blokzyl:

please do you know, having a bad throat is always you know, involves taking care of shorts or this you know,

Wendy Jones:

one of the things that people often say to me when they're working with me, you know, to help them get more visible and I'm helping, you know, coaching them, they'll say, Well, I don't really have a lot of time and it just all seems so much effort so I'm going to ask you a tricky one here. That's one that how can I make my book more visible without a lot of effort but in a way that it pays off?

Monique Blokzyl:

You know what, when they always are super impression so you know that that's the thing that holds a lot of people back right? So you know, just recently we actually ran a five day visibility booster workshop It was a free workshop over five days, we really get people clear on who they want to be visible for what is their best offer that they want more people to know about. We get them to, to craft their signature message we get them to reach out to people and we get them to start writing posts to share them on social media in just five days. And we had incredible results people that reached out to their potential clients you know, we had someone that really booked the same the same day to with all the people that reached out issue reached out to she booked a sales conversation with every single one which was amazing, right? And again, you know, we had someone that you know, like on the last day we get people to write posts Guess what, some of the polls that lead to lead people to actually get invited to speak one of them got invited to do a TEDx speech. Right? Again, the thing is, yes, I don't want to I don't want to lie here getting visible is not an overnight show. It is something that you start doing, and you need to do it continuously. Right? You know, I just had an, you know, a conversation with one of my clients who was in New York, in New York, he's runs a podcast and a radio station. So again, he said, you know, what, if you do podcasting, you know, it takes you sometimes three, four years to really step out and step out and be seen and stand out in a way right, where he had clients he wrote with on their, with their own podcasting show. And he said that, you know, the first three years, not much happened, but a fourth year, you know, they started to really trigger a lot of attention. And eventually in your number five became an outstanding leader in their field. So it's not something overnight, however, yes, you can create magic pretty fast. As I said earlier, even within just a couple of days, we got things moving for the people that are with us. And that five day visibility booster workshop, however, here's a couple of hints and tips that I share with you. And it's only a high level because, you know, depending on how much time you have, Andy, but let me share a couple of things, of what you can do to make being visible in a consistent way. You know, how do you do it with less effort innovate, that it pays off? As you asked? So the first thing I would say is, and we already spoke about that find marketing partners, because your network is even if you reach 1000s of people, I mean, I have a pretty big social media network, you know, I reached, you know, I mean, it's not really big, but I reached quite a few 1000 people on that one. So, you know, so again, you know, if you think about it, you know, if you think about the power of networking again, and the value of network, and again, when I look at one of my networks, you know, like one of my networks, I only have about 1000, direct contacts. But when I looked at how many contacts do these contacts have, we ended up at, I think, 200,000, or something, wow. And then the conducts of these conducts, were already 5 million, you see what I mean? So again, networking is really powerful, meaning that if you if you start nourishing relationships with marketing partners, together, you can easily reach millions of people. Right? I mean, you know, about a year ago, I gave a speech and in a group in a room with influencers, and I, you know, I think together, you know, within these 40 people, I think we, I don't know how many millions of people are reaching there, right. But again, if you find partners that have a following and have a strong reputation in your field, they will then multiply, you know, multiply the message of your book going out there and of your system, right. Because, again, it's great, it's good for you to beat your own drums. But if influencers and other marketing partners rave about what you do, it's amazing, right? Also, you know, it's not only marketing partners that have nothing to do with you and your book or your business. Find, you know, among if you're only an author, which very, very few people are just exclusive authors, right, a lot of people run a business run theirbooks, which to me, especially when it's a nonfiction, you know, author. So again, find clients that work with you that are raving fans and get them to share your message in a greater way. Again, they will, you know, they will increase your reach big, big time, right. Also, what you want to do is, you know, when you create content to share, for example, on social media, or I'm a speaker, I love to be on video, you know, for my social media, for my YouTube platform. Again, I don't necessarily produce just one thing at a time, I produce four or five or 10 messages at the time, and then I get them out over a longer period of time. So it's not that I produce when I need to release it, I produce it up front. Like also, the interview series,we're running, we alwayshad, like a few interviews actually lined up, because I don't like actually feeling stressed. Right. So again, I produce that but it becomes like a natural process. So think about it. If you take like one day a month, and you produce five or 10 interviews on that day, that will cover you for a few months ahead if you release something on a weekly basis, right for one or two months. So again, if you didn't do that once a month, and you keep actually increasing the number of posts that you have prepared, or the order podcast or the you know all Your videos on your YouTube funnel again, you know, or travel again, you take the stress out of it. So but production is a great answer. Another thing is, as I said earlier, what you want to do is you want to actually reuse, and repurpose, and recycle all the content you're creating. So if you have a podcast, you don't only need to release it once, you can do it several times. If you release a podcast and you release the same one, two years later, hardly anyone will remember. And even if they do, everyone loves to watch a great movie twice or three times, because every time we see something different in it, so we like to kind of use it again. Also, as I said earlier, like when you have a book, you have so much material, you can turn into smaller pieces, individual chapters, codes, and everything else. And every every part of that message, and every part of that post can actually link back to your book. Right? So again, multiply your content also, you know, yeah, another thing is also like, how do I make sure it pays off, then you're sharing your posts online, like let's say, you know, even if you only have like one LinkedIn article or one LinkedIn post every week on LinkedIn, pay attention over time, people will like it, they will comment on it, you want to answer back. And what you want to do is you want to appreciate them, you want to give them feedback, you want to get into a conversation with them first, maybe in the chats in the comment section. And eventually, you can invite them to have a conversation with you. people that follow you, over time become fans, if they become fans, they want to learn more from you, they want to get to know you, they're open to want to talk to you. So what you do is you turn conversate you turn actually, like a written conversation into into real conversation. And then the real conversation can turn into gaining a new client, as I always like to say, you start turning it open doors into close deals. So these are just some suggestions on that question. But again, being visible consistently does not need to be hard work. And it definitely doesn't need to be stress. And in any case should not be a wasted effort, you should always harvest back from it in great ways. And if you're consistent, and if you love people, and if you just have to aim, and you have your heart wide open, and you're just here to help and support. And I know when you are one of those, you're just giving so generously all time. People love to give you something back. So these are just some hints and tips on that question.

Wendy Jones:

I hope that helps. Ya know, those hints and tips have been amazing. They really have I just the every question, we get more and more. This is a super podcast. So much wisdom. I know you've alluded to this a bit that we're we're running a business now as an author. And one of those phrases that we use a lot is multiple streams of income. So it's looking at where you can take your books and sell beyond your books to grow income. So how can I sell beyond my books to get all my income on my impact?

Monique Blokzyl:

Run? Oh, brilliant question again, Wendy. So I picked up on that already or said something earlier? You know, on our I think it was on our first question when we said, you know, how can I actually get visible and stand out as a speaker I said, Don't write a book, create a process and write a book about that process. So that means again, you know, like, for example, but you know, as an author, it's the same like vendor speakers, right? People read our book, or they see our speech and experience our speech, and then they get hyped up, they get excited, they have the strongest intention to turn the learning into doing into results. And that gets what the book ends up on the shelf. Yeah. And then people read it again, maybe if you're lucky to read again in a year, or two, or three or five. And then again, they have to strong intention, say, Oh, my God, I need to implement that. And then again, they get busy again, and life takes over. So I'm a speaker and I I'm a you know, I'm a speaker myself, and I love to inspire people. And still, for me, inspiration is not enough because it is if we hype energy, and then it disappears again, and I love to create lasting impact. Meaning that, you know, what I do is again, as I said earlier, create a process and don't just write a book about your process. Rather, you know, if, as we said earlier, just example of how do you help people to, you know, become master salespeople or sales masters, right? Let's say you write a book about that. What do you want to do is create Write a process and turn the process into a course. So that you give people step by step by step instructions of how they can actually turn the learning into doing. So as we said, let's just keep the example of how to be how do I become a sales Master? How do you create that course, again, you start asking yourself, who are the people that I want to offer that course to, which are normally the people you had in mind when you wrote your book. So you say good, so who are the people I would like to help becoming sales master. So let's say you work with enterpreneurs that have a an initial business, and they get some success, but they really want to close more deals, more high paying deals, you know, and then we want to grow their their business and their income. Again, if you're, if you want to help them become sales masters, you have them in mind, and you say, Good, from what point A to point B to you, I want to get them. Right. So the question is, like, when they start, when they start reading their book, your book, what do they Why do they actually even even choose your book, because they want to, they feel like these are people that they run a business, it's reasonably successful, but they feel that they can actually really attract more high paying clients and more of them to grow their income. Right, that's point A, they struggle closing deals and not having enough clients, you know, that maybe they even think like, Am I good enough, all of the things. And then point B is where they all sales masters ready to confident running sales conversations, where they close a lot of deals, where they know the value of their, of their, of their of their offer and everything else. So again, you can turn that into a course, you know, if you run like a, you know, if you run like a, like a four week course you can, you know, again, if people go with us through that course, over four weeks, they might still not be sales masters, you have them to make some progress. But to really turn them into sales masters, they might need to continue working with you for another three, six or 12 months. So again, you turn your courses into programmes, okay? So meaning that you don't just write a book to inspire people, you really help people to turn the learning into doing by being on their side. And here comes the golden nugget. Again, once you've created these courses and programmes, you can also create fully automated courses that you can sell 24 seven. So that's also something we do with our clients, we help them really turn their knowledge into something they can sell at higher prices. And they really create a lasting difference in their clients

Wendy Jones:

life. Brilliant, I love all of that. I'm writing notes as we speak. good reason, all down. Good. And obviously, we're talking about being authors here as well. So how can I create a lasting impact in the life of my readers?

Monique Blokzyl:

Great Again, you know, I mean, it just comes back? And I can answer that question like, pretty quickly, because it always comes back to what we said on question five, right? Again, what you do is you work with them over time, you don't just inspire them, but you guide them step by step along the way. Right. And, you know, you really create, like an offer portfolio that really can help people that don't have a lot of money that are just, you know, early stage starters in what you want to teach them, you make an offer available to them. So in my case, for example, we work a lot with expert enterpreneurs, with coaches, speakers, trainers, consultants, and authors. Yeah, we help them really build a business around their wisdom, right, because we want them to not only have to, you know, like a few readers, we don't only want them to have one, two or three of 10 clients, we want them to have hundreds of clients or 1000s of clients, we want them to inspire millions of people. So again, what we do is we you know, we help them in different ways. There's some people that are just starting out. And for those people, we offer a membership. So again, they get hints and tips from us on a regular basis, to really make client attraction easier and to grow their business to a place then they make more money, right. And once they make money, they really want to grow and scale their business, then they can join some of our full year programmes, right? But again, we have like a range of offers that people can choose from depending on you know, how much money do I have to invest right now? How much money am I willing to invest right now? And how intimate and intense do I want to have to support on my journey of growing and scaling the business? So again, what you do is you create a logic of products you offer, so that you work with people over time, and you can guide them over time because again, your marketing and sales becomes so much easier when people don't just sign up and buy a book, you know, or buy a book or sign up on a four week course but If people broke with you over a longer period of time, yeah, first of all, when they work with you over time, they you see the impact you're making, they're getting results. I mean, we have several clients, even in this Corona year that doubled their income this year and more, right. And it's so rewarding to see when people get results when you work with them over time. And then again, you know, you only need to actually do marketing once, and then they work with you for years to come. So again, how do you create a lasting impact in the life of your readers, it comes back to what I said earlier, don't just inspire them, guide them step by step along the way, be on their side, or create a scalable business where eventually it's not even you being on their side anymore. Because, you know, a lot of people that we interviewed for one of our book projects on how to build this, you know, as thriving speaking business, a lot of these people then, you know, created programmes that were taught by by their trainers, right again, but now that maybe goes too far. But that is really when money becomes really juicy, and you start to scale your business and you start getting out of your own business, and your business keeps growing without you being around. But okay, let's do put the things in place, right? Yeah, um, you know, but again, there's so many things you can do, and it makes my heart sing when authors don't just inspire people, but it also out there to help them implement all these amazing steps they spoke about in their books. So Wendy, this is me at this point, you know, any other questions?

Wendy Jones:

Well, you know, this has been amazing. And I've learned so much, I could talk all night, but I know that you know, you probably want to get on with your evening, have some dinner or you know, the normal things that we all have to do. So my final question is always, and where can my listeners find out more about you on what you do?

Monique Blokzyl:

Right, so first of all, you can connect with me on LinkedIn. And I always like to know where people come from. So you know, when you send me a LinkedIn request, and again, my name is Monique block. So I know it's not the easiest name, but it's spelled mo ni q e. Monique like Monica, but a French Way mo ni ke. And then laakso is bl o case at y el. But I guess when do you gonna have my name on the interview. So again, you know, I'm sure people can find the correct spelling of my name. And then you can connect with me on LinkedIn, you can also check out money blocks, calm. You know, also, Wendy, if you like to, I can send you the link to our five day visibility booster workshop, because that is a workshop, you run, you know, every couple of months, and it's entirely free. It's really where we give people like little tasks every day, to start getting more visible. And again, these these five days together, create magic every single time, though, if any one of your, you know, listeners and preachers, audience members would like to join us on one of those. I'm very happy to share with you the link for that five day visibility booster workshop and then you can pass it on as a specific, exclusive invite from
