Narratives of North Broad Podcast - Stories From Temple Health
Welcome to the Narratives of North Broad Podcast! We believe in stories. We believe stories heal, inspire, build community, and can change the world. This podcast will celebrate the stories of those at Temple Health. We will ask our guests about their paths to medicine, what they are most passionate about in medicine today, the challenges and rewards of working at Temple, how they find balance in their lives, and what advice they have for students and trainees. There are so many people throughout our community who help make this an incredible place in North Philadelphia. Hosts are Hank Davis, a medical student at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) at Temple University in Philadelphia, and Michael Vitez, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who is now the Director of the Narrative Medicine program at LKSOM. #8: Coronavirus Update - Dr. Thomas Fekete
•
Hank and Michael with guest Dr. Thomas Fekete
•
Season 1
•
Episode 8
This is our first repeat guest, Dr. Thomas Fekete. He is the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Temple, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and a specialist in infectious diseases.
We had Dr. Fekete on our podcast back in March at the outbreak of Covid-19, and asked him back on the show to get an update. We talk all things coronavirus -- what we’ve learned, what we still don’t know, and what it’s been like for him at Temple hospital during the pandemic.
I even asked whether he’d himself now go to a dinner party, and finally he gives us his forecast going forward.
