In episode 14 of 'Wind Yer Neck In' we welcome current head of performance at Saracens Rugby Club to the show. We examine the path Phil has taken, from working in a gym in his early years to becoming one of the most respected performance coaches in Europe. We review the huge strides that have been made in strength and conditioning in the years Phil has been involved, but also acknowledge those aspects that will never change. We evaluate the club to country dynamic and Phil gives us some insights into a career highlight of being asked to go on the British and Irish Lions Tour of New Zealand in 2015. Phil talks about the txt message which invited him on tour and how best to prepare players for the pinnacle of their playing careers.
