Patricia Kara: Author of Dream on, Now Deliver & Case Model #9 Deal or No Deal

The author of her new book: “Dream On Now Deliver”: The No Nonsense Guide to Achieving Success in the Entertainment Industry” rejoins the show. 

#9 and I start the show out with finding out when she started writing the book. We then dive into some topics of the entertainment industry, and some are topics in the book. Adapting to a highly competitive business, the amount of determination needed to make it, and dealing with rejection that comes into play constantly. 

The new way of auditioning using self-tapes that has changed getting a job. You must understand that YOU are a business that is not easy to get a booking. The difficulty of finding, securing, multiple agents and then determining who you can trust! Do you network, how much & the importance of doing so? She gives us the importance of having a portfolio, and why this book is her way of giving back. 

Reflecting to what she calls the “good ole days” of shooting for magazines which leads into why this is what she is most proud of.
