On the Craft

Hosted by Jeff Marshall, "On the Craft," is a podcast dedicated to the arts and their artists. Listen as Jeff interviews and discusses the 7 traditional art forms with the artists that create them. In addition, this podcast will explore non-traditional art forms such as cooking, design, teaching, athletics/sports, physical and mental health professionals etc. The purpose of the show is to trace the steps each guest has taken that has shaped them into the artist they are today. Some will sit down for long format interviews, some will discuss their favorite works of art, and there will also be critiques on film and television as well as reactions to news and stories coming out of the world of entertainment. There is something for everyone on this show and all are welcome. We hope you enjoy "On the Craft."

Jeff Marshall

Born and raised in Orange County, California, Jeff fell in love with movies at a very young age. By the age of 6 he had several popular films committed to memory and was performing them for friends and family every chance he got. As he reached high school, performing began to take a bigger role. School plays and even writing became a focus for Jeff. It was in the mid-90's when he discovered the television show "Inside the Actor's Studio." It was on this show he would gain knowledge and feel inspired by the professional actors and filmmakers he was watching on a daily basis. Eventually, Jeff studied acting at the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse before starting the podcast "On the Craft" to not only discuss art in a long format platform, but to pay homage to James Lipton, writer and creator of "Inside the Actor's Studio." Jeff is the host, writer and producer and can be heard on various podcasts, usually talking about film.
