On this short but sweet episode, Indie shares how she got her name (she wasn't always Indie!).

Welcome back to another episode of coming clean with indie Lee. I'm your host, indie Lee. And today's episode, we're gonna do things a little differently. That's right, there is no guest today. And in fact, you have me all to yourself, we decided we'd add on a couple of these solo podcasts, where I can dive a little bit into my history, how I started in delay, and answer some of the Everybody, it's in Dili and that's right. Today, you have me by yourself, I'm going to be addressing one of the questions that I get asked most often, whether it's in DMS, or when I'm at an event, the questions always into your real name. And the answer, it is now. But the truth is, I was not born with a name, Indy, in fact, back in October 17 1971. That's right, I'm giving you my official age. I just want to spend every moment soaking them in. And so when the phone calls started to come in from friends and family around the world, I needed to find another vehicle to communicate with them what was going on. And so I told them, I would create a blog. I would blog when I had news, new news from doctors or test updates are where I was in the process house feeling that that way they were able go to indie li.com to NDA journal, you'll be able to see a number of the blog posts, including a blog post about choosing my new name, about how I got started about, you know, my diagnosis about going to doctors, it's all still on there. The original indie Lee blog is now a part of the indie Lee website. So there I was blogging under nd lay, and I went to a doctor. And he said that my tumor could Okay, so hope you're setting. Lisa swing gross, I don't think that's going to be a name. Most people want to slather on their body, right. And so we were trying to figure out a name that we could own the URL, right the website for, and would be catchy and would stand for everything that this brand was about. And I said, Well, I blog under the name in Delhi, I own the URL. And they turned to me and be the driver. And so I like to think of it as Lisa was a passenger in her own life. Indy is the driver of her new life. And so when I look back, and I think about the journey of changing my name, it was so natural. It was an evolution of who I am. And yes, my family calls me Indy my kids much to my dislike call me Andy. By the way, kids if you're listening, it's mom.
