This week we discuss the additional revelations that are given to individuals Oliver Cowdery, Hyrum Smith, Samuel H. Smith, Joseph Smith Sr., and Joseph Knight Sr.  All of these individuals wanted to know their specific duties now that the church had been officially organized.

We discuss the Lord's warning to Oliver not to be prideful, Hyrums humility as he followed his younger brother, Samuel's call to stay back for a time before he was called to serve as a missionary, Joseph Sr's call to strengthen the church, and Joseph Knight's call to be baptized and join the church.  Additionally, why were the first 4 men told that they were not under any condemnation but that was not told to Joseph Knight Sr.

Joseph Smith Jr. is told to be patient in his afflictions and that he should endure them well.  Oliver is called to continue serving as a scribe for Joseph.

Emma Smith also desired a revelation to know her part in this newly organized church.  She had been by Joseph's side the entire time and was going to continue to be.  She was the first and only lady to have a canonized revelation directed to her.  She is called to be a comfort and support for her husband, Joseph Smith and to lift him up during his trials and tribulations.  She is called to put together a hymnal for the church for members to use to sing praises to God.  Singing is a major contributor to bringing the spirit.  She is called to expound the scriptures.

Join us as we discuss all of these individuals, the revelations they were given, their faithfulness, their weaknesses and how each of us can learn from all of them.
