John Thomas is currently the Product Definition Manager for Hybrid and Controls products within Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division.  His Product Definition team is responsible for determining which products Caterpillar should develop and commercially offer related to charging, energy storage, hydrogen fuel cells & infrastructure, and asset/microgrid controls. 

John began his career at Caterpillar in 2006, spending 13 years supporting the construction and mining industries focused on advanced technologies such as grade control and telematics.  He joined the Electric Power Division in 2021 with a focus on charging solutions to support mining, construction, marine and rail.
