This is foundational for understanding why we do what we do. It is all about Him, not us. We follow Jesus and help others follow Him. "What does it take for spiritual renewal to happen in our nation?"
After the wall was rebuilt, Nehemiah gathered the people to hear God’s Word and led the people of Israel to rededicate their lives to God. This time, instead of just being by himself interceding on behalf of the whole nation, he is now joined by the exiles who returned.
God desires to bring spiritual renewal by humbling ourselves and walking in the light of His Word. Just as the Israelite nation experienced change, our nation can experience true and lasting change through discipleship.
