Speaker 1:

Good morning and welcome to Starting Right with Danny Mac. I'm going to be here every Monday to Friday to help you get a great five-minute start to your day. So grab your cup of coffee, sit back, relax and let me help you start your day right. Good morning, everybody, and welcome to a brand new week. To start off our week, I've got a wonderful song for you today. It is a powerful song about God's faithfulness to us, his power that he wants to show us in our lives and His ability to change situations that we feel overwhelm us. The song is called Believe for it by CeCe Winans. It's been around for about three years now and it's getting a lot of airtime lately, at least on our local Christian radio station.

Speaker 1:

It is a very uplifting and powerful song because it reminds us that our God is not only a God who loves us, but he's a God who can move the mountains that we are facing, and he is a God who can break the chains that we feel have bound us. Let me read you just the first verse and chorus. They say this mountain can't be moved. They say these chains will never break, but they don't know you like we do. There is power in your name. So move the immovable, break the unbreakable. God, we believe God, we believe for it. From the impossible we'll see a miracle God. We believe God, we believe for it. It's a reminder for us that our God is able to move mountains and to break chains. He is able and wanting to do miracles in our lives. We, as his children, simply need to believe and trust him for it and God will be faithful to us. Psalm 33 and verse 4 says For the word of the Lord is right and true. He is faithful in all he does. I'm reminded of Mark, chapter 11, verses 22 to 24, where it says have faith in God. Truly, I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. I know many people who dismiss or diminish the truth in that particular scripture because they've never seen a mountain picked up and thrown into the sea. But I want to tell you this morning that some of us today are facing huge mountains in our lives, ones that are intimidating. They're holding us back and they're causing us tremendous fear and a great burden for us to deal with. It's not just the physical mountains that God can throw into the sea. It's those mountains that we face every day and the promise of God is that, yes, they can be overcome by our belief in Him when we trust Him with it. A little bit later in the song, it says you said it, I believe it.

Speaker 1:

Romans 8.28 says we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. When God says it, we can confidently believe it, because he is always faithful to His word. One of the greatest weapons that the enemy uses against us is the fact that sometimes, when we are up against mountains or we're dealing with those chains that bind us, we can get discouraged because we don't see the answer coming as fast or in the way that we want it to. We need to remember what it says in Hebrews 11, verse 1, that faith is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not yet see. Our faith has to be grounded in the knowledge that God is always faithful and he can always be trusted. I love these couple lines from the song as well that say we trust in you, god.

Speaker 1:

You have the final say Move the immovable, break the unbreakable. God we believe. From the impossible we'll see a miracle God we believe. Just because you said it, I can trust you with it. So it's done. I believe it's done. Move the immovable, break the unbreakable God we believe, we believe for it. From the impossible we'll see a miracle God we believe. And maybe that is something that you need as you go into this week. You're seeing impossible things around you mountains that seem immovable, that are in your way, chains that are holding you back that need to be broken. You don't know how the answer can come, but God is faithful. He is wanting and willing and able to work to bring about a miracle in your life. So if you need a miracle this week, reach out to God, hang on to Him and believe, because our God is a God of miracles and he is ready, willing and able to do them for each one of us.

Speaker 1:

Here's CeCe, winans and Torin Wells with Believe For it, move me and move above. Break me. I'll break above God. We believe God. We believe for it. From the impossible We'll see a miracle, god we believe.
