SPEAKER_03

Good evening and welcome to the twenty twenty six Raddies Red and Green Carpet Pre-Show live here at Well it honestly the only venue that would take us. I mean Zillow describes it as bold. I'm not sure what that means. Personally, I'd call it creepy. But you know, we decorated it with the best garland and wreaths and Christmas lights, all the decorations. It's quite hallmark-esque. Sort of. Now, normally we'd be at a ballroom, a theater, somewhere with lighting and insurance. But this year? Well, we're outside a structure that Scooby-Doo would refuse to enter without a union rep. And yet, look at this carpet. Stapled directly into damp earth. Although I'm told it's both festive and structurally necessary. But that's commitment, that's the raddies. Now normally I'd be joined by stylish co-hosts like Charlotte Lewis of Take a Sheek Peek. You know, to talk fashion, break down looks, keep things classy. But this year, well, I'm flying solo because the Academy spent the co-host budget on well on this house, because it's all we could afford. And honestly, worth it. Or at least I'm gonna choose to say it's worth it. I mean, look at this place. It's got character, it's got history, it's got at least one upstairs window that I'm choosing not to look at directly. But still, I mean you can feel it already. There's absolutely a buzz in the air tonight. The excitement, the anticipation, the faint electrical hum that may or may not be coming from the walls. But hey, I'm feeling fabulous. The raddies are always one of my favorite events of the year. You know it may sound a little bit cliche, but I really think it's true that you can just feel the energy growing already leading up to tonight's festivities. Now the nominees, the hosts, the guests, they'll all be making their way down the carpet shortly, and let me tell you, they are showing up. And credit where it's due, Mother Nature has cooperated at least. We've got cool air, a little breeze, just enough wind to suggest something might be whispering behind you at all times. And before we go any further, we've got to talk about the carpet. The legendary Raddies red and green carpet this year has evolved. That's right, it's now officially the red and green sequin carpet. Because if there's one thing the Academy said, it's make it more Christmassy. And if there's a second thing they said, it's do not lean on the house because it might fall over. But uh, you know, we'll be bringing you full coverage tonight: interviews, predictions, fashion breakdowns, and maybe a few survival strategies along the way. I don't know. So if you haven't had a chance to catch up on all the nominated episodes, don't worry, we've got you covered. Emotionally, no. But informationally, absolutely. And I gotta say, people are already arriving. I'm seeing some incredible looks out here tonight. We've got formal wear, we've got themed outfits, we've got at least one person dressed like they're ready to either accept an award or investigate paranormal activity. Honestly, smart. But who am I most excited to see this year? Well, probably Julia Colburn. She always stuns. I'm also super jazzed to see what Tim Babb has to wear this year. Kristen Cyring is rumored to have spent a small fortune on a stylish designer, and Ashley Dunbar was spotted earlier this year talking to Dior's Riff signals. We always know C.J. Belanger is gonna rock whatever custom he wears. Anthony Caruso also usually rocks something amazingly Christmas, and we're here for it. The fashion, I mean, it's just a highlight tonight. And that's the thing about the Raddies, right? This is where Christmas meets creativity. This is where podcasting meets passion, this is where fashion meets uh contingency planning. Because I've already heard at least three guests ask, where are the exits? Well, now let's talk expectations. Big night, huge categories, a lot of tight races this year. I've been hearing buzz about the Raddiss Disney episode. Tim Babb seems like a lock, but this is the Raddies, and anything could happen, so who knows? There's also some serious competition for the Raddiss Gag Me with the Spoon episode. The remote control guys were racking up votes, but I've heard speculation that Joe Martinez's duck tails appearance was getting some serious buzz. I will say, at least one person told me they're just happy to be here, which, you know, statistically means they might win. But beyond the awards, it's about the moments, the entrances, the interviews, the unexpected red and green carpet chaos that we'll absolutely pretend is part of the show. But I see people starting to arrive, so we're gonna take a quick commercial break, and then we're gonna do what we came here to do. Talk to some people.

SPEAKER_06

It's an eminence chocolate in the season.

SPEAKER_19

Loves and centers know the reason. The milk chocolate melts in your mouth, not in your hands.

SPEAKER_15

The milk chocolate melts in your mouth.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, here comes you. Happy holidays, pantle fridge. Fruity and cocoa pebbles cereals part of this nutritious breakfast.

SPEAKER_03

Well, here's a very special guest with us, none other than newcomer Jeff Fox of Name That Christmas Special. Jeff, you're up for a couple of awards tonight. How does it feel to be recognized for your hard work?

SPEAKER_22

It's it's kind of insane. It's I mean I never thought this day would come. It's just amazing. Who could say who could ask for anything more? It's it's wonderful. I I I very much appreciate the compliment.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we definitely think you deserve it. I mean, you're nominated for Radus New Guest for uh Raddus live action TV show episode for your work on family ties. How do you even prepare for such an episode?

SPEAKER_22

Watched it. That's that's the extent of it. I mean, you you watch it a few times, you think, please don't let me flub this, please don't make me look like an idiot. That's all I got. You know, it's there's uh I mean that's why I'm quite sure I'm not gonna win any of these awards, but that's okay. I'm you know, I'm the newcomer, I'm in there, I'm happy to be invited, and I'm hope hoping to be invited back at some point.

SPEAKER_03

Well, uh hey, I remember that episode. It was a lot of fun. I mean, family ties, it's deep cut, but not really, right? Everybody knows it at the same time.

SPEAKER_22

Everybody knows it, but maybe not that late in the game. They didn't remember that episode. So we got to go back and revisit, you know, Nick and Skippy and all these people that people might have forgotten. So hopefully we did it justice.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly. Now, okay, uh on a separate note, I do have to ask, was there a favorite toy from your childhood that you never got?

SPEAKER_22

That I never got? Yeah. I don't know. I'm trying to buy them all back up again. So well, that's all right. Yeah, I can't think of any I didn't get.

SPEAKER_03

Now, hopefully you've been able to fulfill your childhood dreams with your website and everything else. Now, do you have any predictions for who will win tonight in your category? Besides yourself, of course.

SPEAKER_22

No, no, somebody else. I'm really hoping somebody else, because I I don't feel like I put enough work into it. So I think there's probably people far more deserving, but uh just it's always nice to be remembered. But uh no, it's uh it's it's a it's the goal for someone else to get this one. I'm sure that they deserve it a lot more.

SPEAKER_03

And any any favorite episodes of Family Ties before we go? That's a good one.

SPEAKER_22

Well, there's there's I think there's three Christmas ones, so those are the ones that I've obviously seen the most. But uh, I mean there's some really good ones. Like that show it doesn't seem to come back in the public consciousness as much as perhaps it should. But you know, there were some you know hard-hitting, very special episodes. So for sure. You know, maybe I'll have to give a few of those a look again. But uh, as long as it's anything without Tina Yether's band singing it, I'm good.

SPEAKER_03

That's right, for sure. Well, we wish you the best of luck tonight, Jeff, and uh we can't wait to see what you do next. And for our listeners at home, make sure to tune into the Raddies to see if Jeff Fox takes home any trophies tonight. Thank you very much.

SPEAKER_01

The taste of nuts and honey, Mr. Scrooge.

SPEAKER_06

Better things to do.

SPEAKER_01

Mr. Scrooge, honey not curios, it's Christmas. Yeah, but honey not curios blends golden honey and crunchy nuts. Did you see honey and nuts?

SPEAKER_13

Merry Christmas, Mr. Scrooge.

SPEAKER_03

Welcome back to the Raddist red and green carpet pre-show where the stars are out in full force tonight, and we've got a true veteran with us right now, Ratty winner Tim Williams. Tim, it's always great to see you. You're up for Raddist Halloween episode for Once Bitten. How do you feel about your chances?

SPEAKER_02

Ooh, I don't know, you know. You know, they always say it's an honor just to be nominated, but I want to say better feels really good to win. So I'm hoping it's my only it's the only category I'm nominated in this year, so my my chances are kind of slim, but I'm I'm hoping that Santa's good to me this year.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you've had quite a year, right? You've been all over the place from YouTube to podcast. How do you manage to keep you know keep up with such a busy schedule?

SPEAKER_02

It's time management that I'm still learning, so hopefully I'm getting better. I don't know. It's it's you know, it it's a it's a struggle, but it's something that I love, and so when it's something you love, you make time for it, and that's just kind of how it's been. So just keep as long as there's more 80s movies to cover, I've still got content. So I'll just keep keep going until we run out.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we got to talk about your fashion sense. You always look so sharp on the red carpet. What's your secret?

SPEAKER_02

You know what? I try to follow like the the true, you know, pioneers of Christmas fashion. Cousin Eddie, of course, is always top tier. So I've got my you know, my mock turtleneck underneath my my green mock turtleneck turtleneck underneath my yellow sweater. So it's uh I'm letting you know I I got some real class.

SPEAKER_03

Well, let's not forget about your incredible performance this year. What is it about once bitten that stands out to you?

SPEAKER_02

You know what? Jim Carrey just making, you know, making a movie, you know, being lead in the movie before he was really a household name. It it has become kind of a forgotten movie because most people didn't see it when it came out. But after the success that he had going back and watching it again, you can see that star power that he had. And, you know, even just I don't think they let him go full Jim Carrey, so he he still a little bit of restraints to him, but you could tell that he was gonna be a big star. So it's fun to go back and watch those kind of movies where you see like before they really hit it big and seeing just that little glimpse of like, I think this guy's got it, I think he's got it. And so it and it's a fun watch anyway. You know, I love a good comedy, I love a good horror mixed with comedy kind of movie anyway. So this it's always a good one to go back and revisit.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you you know, before we let you go, we gotta ask what's next for Tim Williams? Like, what do you have coming up that we can look forward to?

SPEAKER_02

Oh man, well, uh something I'm working on now is you know, we started the podcast. I'm coming up on six years uh since the podcast started. We started in 2020, and I'm actually looking back and I'm gonna go back and re-record some of my episodes I did for year one. So back when I was still trying to figure things out, before I was on YouTube, when my I my format wasn't quite what it is now. So I think I'm in a good place where I like the format. I like the way the shows are going. So I want to go back and tackle like Raiders of the Lost Dark and Coming to America, Die Hard, a Christmas story, the big 80s movies that I really wanted to cover early on, but now I want to go back and revisit them with a little with with the format I have now and with a a larger myriad of co-hosts now that I've no guys like you and some other other co-hosts I've met along the way. So so yeah, that's that's gonna be something I'm looking to do here in the summer. And so I'm gonna see how it goes. So definitely have you on a couple of those and and talk about them again.

SPEAKER_03

Right on, looking forward to it. Die Hard's a Christmas movie according to totally rad Christmas. So of course. Can't wait to see what you do next. Thanks for joining us here on the uh the red and green carpet, Tim, and uh good luck tonight.

SPEAKER_02

Thanks, thanks for having me. Looking forward to the show, it's gonna be good.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, for sure. Welcome back to the Raddies Red and Green Carpet Pre-Show. Again, I'm Jerry D, and I just had an exciting moment with Joe Fulton, the Christmas aficionado on the carpet. What did I think of his outfit? Well, he's always known for bringing the festive spirit, but I have to say this time he knocked it out of the park. Speaking of which, let's bring him over again for a quick interview. Joe, Joe, how are you feeling tonight?

SPEAKER_10

Oh, I'm very, very excited. I'm hoping I'm finally gonna win one of those damn bratdies.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you're certainly spreading some cheer with that outfit, Joe. Can you tell us a little bit about your look tonight?

SPEAKER_10

Well, uh, you know, this is a really, really great red full suit covered in tinsel. I thought it was very appropriate tonight.

SPEAKER_03

Very avant-garde. I love it. It's a great look. Now, we have to ask, so last night you won a technical ratty for the Raddist 80s Christmas wrap-up series, not done by Totally Rad Christmas. How does it feel to be a ratty winner again?

SPEAKER_10

Well, it's great. I mean, I won a technical one again. I'm still not on the main show, but you know, eventually, eventually maybe I'll put it.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I know the Academy was out of money, and you know, we kind of had to hold still of hold it at McDonald's, but what did you think of the Peppermint Sundays and eggnog milkshakes at the technical Raddies last night?

SPEAKER_10

Well, first off, I mean, are are those originally from the 80s and and survived all these years? Because they tasted that way.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I you know, we were out of money. I mean, what can I say? But finally, before we let you go, can we ask what you're most excited to see at the Raddies tonight?

SPEAKER_10

Oh, I'm most excited just to see if the Christmas cousins are gonna finally make it a bit.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we love them. They're pretty fun. Very cool, Joe. Thank you so much for joining us on the red and green carpet tonight, and good luck to you, sir. Well, thank you very much. Is that Robert Nicholas I see coming down? It is. We're joined by Robert Nicholas, who's been nominated for a few rattys. Robert, how does it feel to be nominated?

SPEAKER_08

Oh, it's really good. I mean, very interesting choice awards ceremony this year. Uh, I promise not to get a little too frightened of this place, but you know what? I'm still nominated for a few awards, so I'm still excited and anxious that there was such an emotion to go with that word.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you know, it was it was pretty stunning your nomination your nomination. Tell me what inspired you to delve so deeply into Santa Claus the movie?

SPEAKER_08

Well, honestly, because it's a movie that, in a weird way, given how the Santa Claus seems to have a cult status for a lot of millennials in America, Santa Claus the movie seems to have a cult status in the UK, uh, since that movie is really more of a Father Christmas thing. Even though it's starting to gain a little more traction here in the States because of its bizarre nature, even though, in my opinion, the bizarre nature of it just makes it so 80s, so unique, and honestly, so comforting in a weird way.

SPEAKER_03

For sure, for sure. Okay, what was the biggest challenge you faced while doing this episode?

SPEAKER_08

Well, honestly, I think the most challenging was trying to uncover a little extra uh information about the Solkins, uh, the folks that were responsible for producing the movie, which as we all know, were mad men while doing it. I mean, John Lithgow has never said anything nice about that, neither did David Huddleston. But again, it's just one of those things where somehow, out of that madness, came a real pretty good movie.

SPEAKER_03

Well, uh, I'm sure your hard work will pay off tonight. So I have to know who are you wearing? Who am I wearing? Yeah, tell me a little bit about your look.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, well, I didn't have time to get myself a good tuxedo for the night, so I immediately had to grab uh one of my He-Man and Masters of the Universe shirts. I still managed to get a Christmas tie on, just so I can at least get that Christmas flair on. So hopefully you guys will still let me in.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, for sure. I mean, you're a man after my own heart there. You know, it's classic, it's elegant, I love it. But who do you think is gonna win Raddus movie episode tonight? Besides yourself, of course.

SPEAKER_08

Oh man, I was really hoping I'd vibe from myself tonight.

SPEAKER_03

That's fine. That'll work. We like it, but thanks for joining us, Robert. We can't wait to see who takes home the Raddus Movie episode award tonight, and good luck to you. We'll see you inside.

SPEAKER_08

Thank you so much. Happy to be here.

SPEAKER_03

Now, you can feel the electricity in the air as all these talents get ready for the greatest award show in history. I've got one of those talents here now. He's someone who needs no introduction. It's one of the elves of Tis the Podcast. For a lot of people, it's their favorite elf, Anthony Caruso. Anthony, it's great to have you here. Congratulations on your many nominations tonight. Are you nervous?

SPEAKER_09

I'm an old pro at this by now, Jerry. I'm not nervous at all. Thanks for having me here, and thanks to the Academy for recognizing that I am the best elf yet again.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you certainly deserve it, man. I mean, your show, in fact, has been a holiday staple for so many people. Which nomination are you most excited about tonight?

SPEAKER_09

You know, there are so many. I honestly want to give some shout-out to the love I got last night during the technical awards, my buddy Chuck here, because there's nothing like good monster cereal, and I want to dedicate last night's award to Fruit Brute. May he show up again this year.

SPEAKER_03

May rest in peace, yeah, for sure. That's that's fantastic. Looks like Chuck's coming down the carpet in a bit, so we'll be talking to him pretty soon. With so many nominations, I know you must have had a lot of help along the way. Can you tell us about some of the people who helped make this possible besides Chuck?

SPEAKER_09

Ooh, besides Chuck, I want to dedicate this to my Jerry, obviously. You know, for having us on all the time. I want to dedicate this award to Tom and Julia. My proper co-hosts. My proper Christmas co-hosts. And I want to dedicate this award to All the haters out there said I'd never make it.

SPEAKER_03

So it Well, I mean, shame on them for saying that. I mean, you have a great team there with the other Tiz the Podcast self. You mentioned Tom and Julia. What inspired you to co-found Tiz the Podcast in the first place?

SPEAKER_09

I mean, you just I it was what inspired me. Our first episode dropped in August 2017. What inspired me was it was the middle of summer. I was missing those Christmas feelings, browsing the Christmas subreddit. And at the time, hard to believe now, but there was not a lot of Christmas podcasts out there, so I was like, you know what? And not a lot of movie dedicated ones. There's some music ones, some like our good friend Tim Babb and Brian Earl, where it's about, you know, different topics, but not movies. So I decided to do the movie version. Met Tom on Reddit, he brought Julia in, and the rest is history. Going on 10 years next year, which is crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, that's amazing. I mean, I I hope to be there. And the Academy, I don't know, maybe we'll finally have some money by then. But uh uh, what do you think sets Tis a podcast apart from other holiday-themed podcasts out there?

SPEAKER_09

I think there are so many holiday-themed podcasts, not all, but a lot of them are like solo endeavors, and you can have your guest hosts and everything. But Tis a podcast has three regular co-hosts, and I think a lot of people like our banter and the relationship between the three of us.

SPEAKER_03

For sure. I mean, that's why I tune in. Uh, we're certainly looking forward to your future episodes. Before we let you go, we have to ask, what are you wearing tonight?

SPEAKER_09

I have modeled my outfit after one of the best Ebenezer Scrooges of all time, Michael Kane, the Muppet Christmas Carol. You know? As uh as the old saying goes, there are two ways to act opposite the Muppets. You can either play a Muppet yourself, like Tim Curry, or you could play it as straight as possible like Michael Kane. And uh he gave us one of the best versions of a Christmas carol by doing it. So agreed. I'd like to I would also like to thank Michael Kane for all my nominations tonight.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you look amazing, bro. I mean, thanks for joining us tonight. Good luck with your nominations and hosting the show. Yeah, we'll see you inside. Thank you. Oh, we have to take a quick commercial break. We'll be right back with more red and green carpet coverage and more amazing podcasting stars.

SPEAKER_17

Pizza hut, pizza to go. Pizza hut, pizza to go. Pizza hut, pizza to go. Pizza Hut Pan Pizza is a special way to warm the busy holiday season. So call ahead and we'll have it fresh, hot, and ready to go.

SPEAKER_03

Pizza Hut Pizza to go. Welcome back to the Raddist Red and Green Carpet Pre-Show, where we're moments away from finding out who's gonna take home the coveted Jerry D award. And we've got a nominee with us right now. Now let's welcome uh just another Friday night host, CM Chuck, nominated for Raddist Halloween episode and Raddist Half the Battle Guest for his appearance in Superboy Young Dracula. Chuck, it's good to see you.

SPEAKER_20

Great to see you, Jerry D. Great to be here again. Man, I think this is like my what fourth, fifth Raddies, I think, yeah. So it's always always great to become and be a part of this show. You know, do the voting campaigning and and uh all the things, man. You you you run a uh a wonderful and successful show here despite financial setbacks.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we try, we try. You know, you're up for a couple awards tonight. How does it feel to be a multiple nominee?

SPEAKER_20

Oh man, you know, it feels amazing. Anytime I get the opportunity to to talk on on one of your shows, Jerry, it's just a lot of fun. And then, you know, I mean the goal is always in mind, you know, win those rattdies. So, you know, I I unlike other people, you know, I I clear space on the shelf early, you know, I get to get ready for them to go up there and try to, you know, will it into existence.

SPEAKER_03

Can you tell us a little bit about young Dracula? I mean, I remember the episode, but for those that haven't, I mean, it sounds like a really unique concept.

SPEAKER_20

Oh man, you know, again, it was amazing. It was, I think, my first time seeing that with you, and and it was just a great watch, hilarious, you know, from us, you know, discussing how you know, if you weren't sure that it was a vampire, by the time you see him come in with the uh the the classic Billalegosi style, you know, every everyone that's ever dressed as Dracula, ever costumed it's just kind of like, yeah, if you ever wear a black tuxedo with a red red medallion, you will instantly be thought of as Dracula.

SPEAKER_03

So for sure, especially the cape with the collar, yeah. Yes, yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

What's it like working with uh Double A as your podcast co-host?

SPEAKER_20

I mean, double A is the absolute best, man. Yeah, he's on the road to recovery right now himself. I know our good friend uh Anthony Peruso also going through some some recovery, but yeah, he had a back surgery. What dude when when he is there by my side, it's kind of like I'm having an encyclopedia of of uh comic book and movie and TV knowledge. You know, I would say spanning the 80s to the early 2000s, you know what I mean? Double A's just he's he's got all that stored up inside of his head, and so I'm I'm blessed to have a library like him next to me.

SPEAKER_03

That's that's amazing. And he actually just missed Anthony a little while ago. I'm gonna try, I'll see if I can get him to come back over here. Anthony! Anthony! Oh! Chuck, how's it going, my man?

SPEAKER_09

Anthony, great to see you, friend! Great to see you again, my brother in R for the monster serial episode, dude.

SPEAKER_20

You you know you you can't have Count Chocula without Frankenberry, and you can't have Frankenberry without Blueberry, so it's great to see you, but hashtag justice for fruit fruit. Yes, and and yummy mummy as well.

SPEAKER_03

Yummy agreed, agreed. Now I I am loving your jacket, Chuck. I mean, you can see Anthony's real looking real fine in that uh Michael Caine inspired, you know, screw out. It's it's very haunted mansion almost, you know, which fits our theme perfectly tonight because you know, all we could afford was this this house that uh Zillow lists as like bold, and that's it, you know. But I'm loving your jacket. Tell me a little bit about you know uh about your look here.

SPEAKER_20

Uh well, yeah, and I definitely am getting the heebie jeebs around here, Jerry, so you don't have to really work on the venue next year. But yeah, this jacket is actually inspired by uh Gary Oldman's uh uh red kind of like shell armor he wears in the uh Dracula movie. Oh yeah. The Brown Surfer Dracula. And I figured, you know, we were talking young Dracula and everyone was gonna do, you know, I always see all the all the tinsel and all the great uh Christmas outfits, but since I was talking Dracul tonight and and oddly couldn't find a uh black tuxedo with with tails that would uh you know lead people to believe I was uh a vampire, I said, hey, I'll just go with this, you know what I mean? Some some Gary Oldman style our armor shelling here, you know. I've always wanted to wear that cool suit he wears and you know go from there.

SPEAKER_03

Right on, man. I love it. One of my favorites. Now, last night, this is for both of y'all, you were at the Technical Raddies, you know, you guys won Raddis Comic Brothers re-release for the already multiple award-winning episode, you know, General Mills Monster Serials. Now, apparently the episode was so great that the Academy thought it should win again. Were you expecting the win? And how did you guys feel when they called your name? I'll let you go first.

SPEAKER_20

Well, you know, I mean, it is the episode so nice, you gotta hear it twice, you know. So, did I expect it, you know, for it to win again? No, but am I pleased with it? Absolutely. You know, that was a fun night. You know, I think I went out and got breakfast cereal the next day, you know what I mean? So anytime I get to talk, like I said, I I think I told you guys this on that episode. If I did not have a pop culture podcast, the next thing I would have is a cereal podcast. So a chance to combine those two loves was amazing. And so, you know, um, I'll put the award right next to my other award uh with for uh for for this episode.

SPEAKER_03

So and what did you think of the uh McDonald's decorated with their vintage 80s Christmas decorations?

SPEAKER_20

Oh man, that's wonderful, man. You know, what a throwback. There's nothing like seeing Mayor McCheese decked out and all the things in the fry kids. So, you know, what what what a memory. Uh, I am gonna avoid the ball pit though, because I don't know the talk of pee happening in there, I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_09

It made the Dumbies at Chili's look a little uh Oscar worthy. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, that's who we could afford. I'm sorry, man. But you know what? Next year will be a lot better.

SPEAKER_09

I do want to say my co-host Chuck here was uh a little m a little modest. I was not surprised our our episode won a second time for a second year in a row, because I'm gonna break some news here. Jerry, I'm sure you know, because you're also involved in the episode. That episode was so well received, we have been contacted by Hollywood to adapt it into a movie. So uh That's amazing.

SPEAKER_20

That's breaking news right there. Yep, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We were trying to keep it quiet, but man, I'm I'm ready. Yeah, I'm ready. Let's get it out there. Did you guys get to try the peppermint sundays and eggnog milkshakes? Because I like the sundays. I thought they were pretty rad.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah, you know, I'm I'm a lactose intolerant, so and also, you know, again, there were also talks, Jerry, that these were actually from the 80s, so I'm not sure what what powder mix you may have been using in those, but yeah, you know, I'm gonna stick with the shamrock shake, you know what I mean, for me, and go from there.

SPEAKER_09

I wanted to buy the eggnog milkshake, but then I remember, and both of you gentle appreciate this as Seinfeld fans, that episode where Elaine ate the cake from the Victorian wedding. And Mr. Peter Redder was like, Do you have any idea what that feels like going through your system? I think that'll be punishment enough.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we can't wait to see who takes home the Radis half the battle guest award tonight, guys, and we'll definitely be tuning into Superboy. So we'll see you inside, and uh good luck to you guys.

SPEAKER_20

Thanks, Jerry. See you inside, Jerry.

SPEAKER_03

Welcome back to the red carpet. We are here with the one and only CJ Bellanger, who has been nominated for like a bajillion rattdies tonight. I mean, yes, you must be on top of the world right now, CJ. Congratulations on all the nominations.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, cool. Yeah, you know what? It is good to be awesome, it's good to be great. I'm always gonna be on top, whether in the bedroom or in the award shows. It all depends, but I'm always down for a good ride, and it's always a great ride when I'm on with Jerry and I'm on with Anthony and I'm on with whoever else because I make things great. I make things better. So imagine like, imagine walking through a store and you saw something you really like. Now imagine somebody can turn it to gold for you. That's me. Anything you see, I can make better. And I'm very modest, as you can tell.

SPEAKER_03

So the competition was pretty tough this year, but your episodes, of course, really stood out, like you said. What was your inspiration behind them? Especially the watch alongside.

SPEAKER_11

My inspiration is just, you know, when you say competition, like what is competition? Let's kind of let's kind of define competition here. Competition has to make you want to be better. All these people do is make me look better because I'm that much better. It's just easy to me. And I'm really just grateful for the people that I work with because I'm only as good as the people that I'm you know hosting with or podcasting with. But as far as the competitors, I've listened to their shows weak, very weak, very, very weak.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you look amazing. Your episode sounded great, but you look amazing. Tell me a little bit about what you're wearing tonight.

SPEAKER_11

I'm wearing track pants from Target, Jordan's from Foot Locker, and I'm wearing a blank t-shirt and a hat by Liz and glasses by Prada, and teeth done by my dentist. Expensive, but you know, we do what we do.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, well, let's quickly talk about your your Radus watch-along episode dominations. Now, that whole series was a real hilarious piece of art, man. You can tell your love for John Candy. Why does he deserve all the praise?

SPEAKER_11

Why does John Candy deserve all the praise? Because John Candy's amazing. I grew up watching John Candy. I love John Candy. I've only seemed to adore him even more as I've aged. It's a Canadian thing, man. It's not even that. I just you know he owned the Argos with Wayne Gretzky for a while. He's a Canadian staple, and every time you see him on TV, he feels like a warm-up. So I just think he deserves the praise because I think he was ahead of his time, or maybe he came around the right at the right time. Wish he could have taken more better care of himself, but we're all guilty of self-indulgement in one way or the other. But I I think John Candy deserves all the praise because he's one of the better comedic actors in history and one that nobody seems to say a bad thing about. So I'm I'm happy to idolize somebody like that. And I love talking about him. And John Candy's the man.

SPEAKER_03

Agreed. Finally, let's talk about your Radis Canadian treasure episode on Mr. Dress Up. Now, that one had everyone talking. How did you come up with the idea to cover a Mr. Dress Up Christmas episode?

SPEAKER_11

Well, Mr. Dress Up was kind of the Canadian Mr. Rogers. So I thought of shows that I loved as a kid, and you know, Mr. Dress Up was one of them. That's another Canadian staple. It just made sense. I wanted to introduce him to you because I wasn't sure if you'd watched him before. Not a lot of Americans have, but a lot of I think he actually is American though, I think. Oddly enough, if I remember correctly. Couldn't be wrong. Anyway, I just wanted to cover shows that were Canadiana because it'd be different for you, different for people that listen to you. And I just thought it made sense. And I thought the episode was good. I thought it was pretty okay.

SPEAKER_03

I enjoyed it. Well, we wish you the best of luck tonight. Uh, we can't wait to see what the future holds for you. So thank you so much for chatting with us tonight, and uh, congratulations again on your nominations.

SPEAKER_11

Thanks, Jerry, and thanks for telling me I'm awesome because we all know it's true. It's damn true.

SPEAKER_03

We've got another awesome guest stepping onto the red and green carpet. Please welcome Ron Hogan from Film Strip Podcast. Ron, great to see you. How are you feeling tonight?

SPEAKER_18

Jerry, I'm on top of the world, baby. Ain't nothing better than looking down on all these plebes. Hello, plebes.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. Now, Ron, you've got a big night. You're nominated for Raddiss Movie Episode for Don't Open Till Xmas. You're also Raddiss All-Star episode with the Wrestling Bros for 80s Christmas Wrestling Part 4. I mean, that's a pretty wild combo. How does it feel to be covering both holiday horror and Christmas wrestling?

SPEAKER_18

Well, you know, when I think of the true holiday horror, Jerry, look out in this crowd and I see all these faces, and I am horrified at the state of these people. I can't believe they let them out of their cages and their tenements and their insane asylums to come down here and be in this audience. But you know, it's a it's a natural fit, Jerry. You know, I I am universal man about town. I uh I uh cover all gamuts, I cover all bases. If you want to grapple, I'll grapple with you. If you want to have a fight, I'll fight with you. And if you want to talk some horror movies, I will creep you.

SPEAKER_03

Well, okay, before we go any further, okay, I gotta acknowledge something right away. So you're a former winner of the Raddiss Beard Award, which tragically was retired a few years ago, but I'm hearing rumblings that the Academy is considering bringing you back for a lifetime ratty for beard excellence. How does it feel to have a beard so powerful it might come out of retirement?

SPEAKER_18

Well, you know, Jerry, it's an everyday thing for me to be this magnificent. But with great beard comes great responsibility, and I feel that I have contributed not just to the rattdies at large, not just to every Christmas podcast. Because you know they're all trying to get me or they've already had me, baby. It is a thing of beauty when you've got this magnificent chin pilt that even puts the big man Santa Claus. He's jealous of me, baby. That's why he made you retire that category. If you're gonna bring it back, there's no better way to bring it back than call it the Ron Hogan present Radis Beard Award. Because everybody's just trying to live in my shadow.

SPEAKER_03

For sure. That beard has legacy. Now, let's start with the last episode. Don't open till Xmas, don't open till Christmas, however you want to say it. That's not your typical cozy holiday viewing. You know, what made you want to tackle that one?

SPEAKER_18

I don't know what you're talking about. Nothing cozier than stabbing your friends and neighbors, blowing some people up. You know, that who among us doesn't want to engage in a little bit of holiday mayhem. It's just like, what if SantaCon got carried to its natural conclusion and became a murder event?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, for sure. It's definitely one of those movies where Christmas Spirit, let's say, takes a very sharp turn.

SPEAKER_18

You can't, Jared, you can't have Christmas spirits without making a few spirits.

SPEAKER_03

For sure. Now on the other end of the spectrum, you got 80s Christmas wrestling, right? That sounds like pure chaos in the best way. Uh, what was it like working with the other wrestling brothers on that?

SPEAKER_18

Oh, you know, I can't say nothing bad about my wrestling brothers. They did their thing, I did my thing. Everybody, everybody held up their end of the deal, everybody kept their part of the bargain. We had an arrangement, we had a handshake, everybody did their thing. If you can't stop one of us, you sure ain't gonna stop all of us.

SPEAKER_03

I remember the energy on that one. It was it was a blast. But okay, now I gotta ask, between the horror movies and the wrestling, which one do you think the Raddies audience is more afraid of tonight?

SPEAKER_18

Ooh, given our spooky surroundings, and I heard some talk about some serial-based monsters might be lurking around, I don't know. I'm gonna say it's an ooky spooky Christmas, baby.

SPEAKER_03

I I think that'll work. Now let's talk red carpet because you're looking sharp tonight. You know, tell me about your look.

SPEAKER_18

Well, you know, it don't matter if I roll up in gym shorts or sweatpants or a three-piece suit, I'm always looking sharp. Because the clothes don't make the man, the man make the clothes. But tonight, you've got my sleeveless flannel shirt, you've got my glittery, beautiful stormtrooper helmet. I am wearing the Shockmaster Collection by Derelikt.

SPEAKER_03

Very nice, very nice. Very ready for awards, but also prepared for a surprise steel cage match. Before we let you go, any predictions for tonight?

SPEAKER_18

Jerry, to echo the great man, there's only one for there's only one thing I can predict. Pain.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. Ron Hogan from Filmstrip, everybody, bringing the movies, the madness, and one of the most decorated beards in Raddy's history. Good luck tonight, man. Thanks for stopping by.

SPEAKER_18

Thank you very much, Jerry.

SPEAKER_03

We're so excited to have a special guest with us here tonight, Laramie Wells from Moving Panels, who's been nominated for a ratty tonight and won a technical ratty last night for Rattis Comic Book Christmas Carol episode. Laramie, you must have been thrilled to have won.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I I was absolutely thrilled. It is always an honor to not only be nominated for a ratty, but just to win one. And even though it was at the technical awards last night, you know what? I I had no problem with it being at a McDonald's. That was, in fact, that was very nostalgic for me. So very fitting. Yeah. It reminded me of the birthday parties I used to have as a child at McDonald's.

SPEAKER_03

At least they had the eggnog milkshakes, right?

SPEAKER_04

Man, I gotta tell you, I I love me, love me some. If if there's if there's anything I like better, it's gotta be the shamrock shake. But I absolutely, yeah. And and this is always around the time that Mick Ribbs is out, so yeah, it's a great, great combination.

SPEAKER_03

So, what's it like to be nominated for Radis non-Christmas podcast host for Thundercats UK Comics Christmas issues? Like that episode was a fan favorite. Like, what's your take on that?

SPEAKER_04

Oh man, it's always cool to to have one of those that the the fans are a big big uh you know, big supporter of. Of course, you know, I'm I'm a huge you know, as a child of the 80s, I I love watching Thundercats, and then to to have you bring me on and and introduce me to some Thunder Heck Thunder Cat comic books was uh was a joy, me being the the big comic book guy that I am. So so yeah, it it's uh like I said, uh of course it is an honor to be nominated.

SPEAKER_03

Well, uh okay, so how do you keep your podcast appearances so fresh and entertaining for your listeners?

SPEAKER_04

Large, large, large quantities of sugar.

SPEAKER_03

Um I hear you, sweet tea, here I come.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, yes, just constantly pounding back the the sweet drinks and and uh keeping the the gummies, you know, sour patch kids and and whatnot handy to to chew on while I'm uh while keeping that going. But uh but no, it's it's always a blast. You know, it it's fun because it it brings you back to that, and I think the reason why we always we all do this, you know, just about everybody you have as one of your co-hosts and all the people that have been nominated, we love that nostalgia. You know, it brings something out of out of us. So we we almost have that that joy of childhood and that joy that we experienced watching this stuff for the first time. And even though it sometimes it is us seeing it for the first time now as adults, we get we still have that joy and wonder that we had as children.

SPEAKER_03

For sure, for sure. Now, there is no more Radiss Beard Award, but if there were, you probably would have been nominated. We have to know, like, what's your secret to maintaining such a cool looking beard?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, uh just the fact that I don't want to have to shave every other day. Yeah, that's that's honestly the main one. Of course, as a as a school teacher, it it went gray very early. There, there's almost no color left in my beard. But I I do like to I I do, you know what, totally revive Christmas. I I will share this information. I do like my beard, and I do think it's a good beard to do what I want to do once I'm retired and older, and that is to be a Santa Claus. I I want to do that, and so I like to try to maintain the beard so that I will one day hopefully have that opportunity.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sure you will. It would look great in a suit. But speaking of suits, uh last question here. You know, you're known for your Christmas suits. Who are you wearing tonight?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, well, for tonight I had to do a nice little blend. So I've I've got on an actual Christmas suit, but it's got French fries on it to represent the McDonald's from last night. Perfect. Uh it's kind of like a mortgage board of different uh foods, but but it's got the Christmas theme, it's got the the uh snowflakes on it and and all. So yeah, and and of course the red going with the McDonald's and and as well as the uh the the Christmas theme as well. Plus, I want to be able to be seen uh if we are about to walk into potentially a haunted house.

SPEAKER_03

I I want it's fine, it's fine, it's not haunted. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

I want I want bright colors, I want people to know where I am at all times uh so that no one has any any doubts if if they need to go looking for me.

SPEAKER_03

Very good. Well, Laramie, we wish you the best of luck tonight. Thanks for joining us here on the red carpet. Oh, thank you. All right, we'll see you inside. We have a lot of exciting nominees tonight, and one of them is none other than Charlie Agu of Closer to Christmas. Now he's been nominated for the Raddus Disney episode, Raddiss Miscellaneous Episode, Raddus Gagme with a spoon impression, Raddus Half Half Happiest Moment, and the Raddus guest named Charlie. Let's give him a nice red and green carpet welcome. Charlie, you're looking absolutely amazing tonight. Who are you wearing?

SPEAKER_21

Oh, thank you, thank you. Tonight, I'm wearing a limited edition ensemble straight from the North Pole, custom tailored by Mrs. Claus herself. It's a blend of velvet, holiday cheer, and just a hint of gingerbread crumbs. The shoes that I'm wearing, of course, they're sleigh powered.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, you really do look sharp tonight, and congratulations on all your nominations. Now, can you tell us a little bit about your episodes?

SPEAKER_21

Well, this year I really lean into the idea that Christmas isn't just a day, it's a lifestyle choice, possibly a condition. From deep dives into Disney magic to exploring the emotional journey of untangling last year's lights, every episode is like opening a present. Sometimes it's magical, sometimes it sucks, but you appreciate it either way.

SPEAKER_03

Well, they were quite amazing, if as I recall. How important is the Disney win to you? Is that the one that means the most?

SPEAKER_21

Oh, the Disney one is huge. I mean, if I win that, I'm pretty sure a choir of animated snowman are gonna pop up behind me and just start singing. But honestly, every nomination means a lot. Being recognized for spreading year-round Christmas cheer, that's the real gift. Although I wouldn't say no to another trophy on the shelf.

SPEAKER_03

And do you have any tips for aspiring podcasters out there?

SPEAKER_21

Absolutely. Consistency is key. Keep showing up, even if your audience is just you, your mom, and someone who accidentally clicked on your show looking for cooking tips. And don't be afraid to get a little weird with it. If you're not discussing Christmas in July while sipping on eggnog, are you even podcasting?

SPEAKER_03

That's great advice, Charlie. And uh speaking of taking risks, what's next for you in your career?

SPEAKER_21

Big things are coming up. I'm gonna break a little bit of news here. This year I want to work on stuff that you could possibly do at home. That's all I'm gonna say, but I want to try to keep this under wraps for now until I get it finalized. But just think, maybe a little more interactivity at home.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we can't wait to see what you have in store for us, Charlie. Thank you, and good luck with your nominations tonight. We'll be rooting for you.

SPEAKER_21

Thank you so much. And remember, no matter who wins tonight, we're all just one jingle bell away from greatness. Happy almost Christmas, everybody.

SPEAKER_03

Now, as I said, all the stars are shining bright tonight, and here's one joining us right now. He's the host of Now Watch This, and he's been nominated for quite a few rattdies tonight. Please welcome Joe Martinez. Joe, it's great to have you here. Congratulations on your nomination.

SPEAKER_19

Jerry, thank you, brother. Thank you. Totally rad Christmas. Thank you, guys. I'll tell you what, with your podcast growing over the years and your guest list growing over the years, it's just an honor to be nominated these days.

SPEAKER_03

So, Joe, tell us about your nominated episodes. You have one for Raddist Animated TV show episode and Raddist All-Star episode for with the Wrestling Brothers, I think. Also Radist Live Action TV TV show episode for Airwolf with Sean Sotka. Which one are you most excited about?

SPEAKER_19

Well, Jerry, I gotta say that the one that I'm most excited for and proud of is the DuckTales episode because that's the episode that I brought to your attention. And that's why we do podcasts, right? Like I think we do them to bring attention to those things that we think don't have enough attention on them. I also gotta say that the Cosby show episode that we did together was great. That sounds amazing.

SPEAKER_03

Can you tell us a little bit more about your outfit?

SPEAKER_19

Jerry, my outfit of the day is brought to you by three-leggedrabbit.com. That's three-leggedrabbit.com. Spell out that word three. I was decked out today by my brother and pod. Lucky the door dad. So thank you, Lucky. Shout out to you. Three-leggedrabbit.com. You can get this exact exact outfit, Jerry.

SPEAKER_03

That's really interesting. So, what was the biggest hurdle you faced while creating those episodes?

SPEAKER_19

Well, Jerry, some of the hurdles I see in podcasting today is sometimes finding facts about some of these obscure titles that we cover. Not everybody is doing these titles, and it's almost a reason why we do them because no one else is. So sometimes finding information on some of these obscure items that we cover is the biggest hurdle that I see.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I know you had a lot of fun making these episodes because I did too. So what's next for Now Watchers?

SPEAKER_19

Jerry, 2026 is packed with blockbusters, and that makes us at NowWatchers want to go out and cover some of these blockbusters. And not only cover the blockbusters, but cover some of their prequels. What do their predecessors have to say? What do we think is gonna happen? And that's what I think 2026 has in store for us. Not to mention once we get into those murmurs, Jerry. And that's our favorite time of the year. And now watch this.

SPEAKER_03

We're definitely looking forward to seeing what you can look for tonight. And finally, before we let you go, we have to ask any predictions on tonight. Jerry, do you work for most of your own?

SPEAKER_19

Well, Jerry, I think our man CJ has this one in the bag. But I would never call Anthony Crusoe out. I think he might have something of his name today.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you look fantastic. Thanks for joining us tonight, Joe, and good luck with your nomination.

SPEAKER_19

And thank you, Jerry. It's just an honor to be here. And thank you to all the holy ratty maniacs out there.

SPEAKER_00

December 24th. Only one more day for Christmas. And the Christmas place. For this one day only, Friday, December 24th. 40% on famous maker junior blast. I have to decorate her holidays and file. Friday only, December 24th.

SPEAKER_15

It's the first time the second Christmas.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, we've got a ratty winner on the carpet right now. Nicholas Peppen from Pop Culture Roulette. Nicholas, welcome. But how does it feel to already be a champion before the main show even starts?

SPEAKER_24

I mean, it's it's just it's it's one it's one thing after another for me. Just you gotta be winning when you win, you know? You just gotta show up and win.

SPEAKER_03

That's right. Well, you took home a technical ratty last night for a Rattis Christmas villain episode for your Ho Ho No, the Fight Before Christmas, which awesome title, by the way. That sounds like something that should come with an action figure line.

SPEAKER_24

Well, there were definitely a lot of figure uh characters who would have been action figures if they aren't already.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, well, we gotta talk about last night because the technical rattties being held with the McDonald's decorated like an 80s Christmas fever dream. I mean, that's peak ratty's. Now, garland on the soda machines, tinsel on the registers, and I'm pretty sure Grimace was wearing leg warmers. So I have to ask you, what was the highlight of that experience for you?

SPEAKER_24

The sauces coming back, the what the orange cranberry and the apple cinnamon?

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, delicious.

SPEAKER_24

Yeah, and then of course the eggnog shake. You can't go wrong with eggnog, but eggnog shake just sublime.

SPEAKER_03

It was definitely like stepping into a time machine. But one that serves fries. Did you commit to the full 80s holiday meal experience? Did you do the whole thing or did you just stick to one?

SPEAKER_24

No, you gotta you're when you've gone in a time machine like that, you gotta commit and just dig right in. So nuggets went in the sauce, fries went in the shake.

SPEAKER_03

I love it, man. I love it. For anyone who hasn't checked out Pop Culture Roulette yet, give us the quick pitch. What are they getting when they hit play?

SPEAKER_24

Anything and everything that we want to talk about, we call it pop culture and talk about it. But we tend to kind of do things by season. So for Christmas season, we do Christmas episodes, for March we do a lot of brackets. For Halloween, we get really involved. But anywhere you want to find anywhere you look for your podcast, you can find pop culture with that, and we'll we'll make you laugh. At least we'll try.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe even some snacks involved somewhere. Now, great formulas, I love it. Let's talk red carpet, because you came to play tonight, right? Tell me about your look.

SPEAKER_24

Well, I mean, you know, it is I don't like dressing up, so I have I've just gone with my normal baseball themed t-shirt and jeans. Some point I'm sure the dress code police will show up and tell me that I am violating the rules, but I gotta stay true to myself.

SPEAKER_03

It's the Raddies. There are no rules. Well, you look fantastic, very sharp, very I just won an award next to him like flurry machine, and I'm not apologizing for it, and I love it. Now, before we let you go, any predictions for tonight?

SPEAKER_24

Based on the last few years of the Raddies, something weird is going to happen. It's just a matter of what. And I'm here for it.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. I love it. I think this year we're we're bulletproof. I don't think anything bad can happen. You know, if I am, I don't know. If I'm wrong, we'll see what happens, but I I don't think I am. I'm pretty sure we're safe this year. Nicholas Pepin, everyone. Already a winner, possibly still full of peppermint Sundays, and ready for more hardware tonight. Good luck, man. Thanks for stopping by.

SPEAKER_24

Thanks for having me.

SPEAKER_03

All right, we've got another awesome guest making his way down the red and green carpet. Please welcome Caleb Cody from Insert Reference here. Caleb, great to see you, man. How are you feeling tonight?

SPEAKER_23

I've been chasing the truck and boy, am I exhausted?

SPEAKER_03

I love it. You got a big night ahead of you, man. You're nominated for multiple Raddies, including Raddus music episode for Weird Alf, Raddis new guest for Small Wonder. I mean, that's a pretty strong combo. How does it feel to be up in such different categories?

SPEAKER_23

Well, I mean the music episode is great. I mean, I I recorded like a 20-minute joke. That was awesome. Small wonder. Now that was a trip.

SPEAKER_03

Well, let's let's start with Weird Owl.

SPEAKER_23

That was one of the sorry. That was one of the weirdest podcasts I've ever recorded.

SPEAKER_03

Well, let's start with Weird Owl because anytime Weird Owl is involved, you know things are gonna get fun. Now, what made you want to dive into that episode and what was your approach?

SPEAKER_23

Uh I mean, I just love Weird Ow. I mentioned it on the episode, but Weird Owl is possibly my favorite musician of all time. And I saw him on the spreadsheet, and I saw that you had already picked a date. Hey Gary, why'd you date me? I was my date was there. And so we just we were part of all like a 20-minute bit, and it was right.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it was a lot of fun. I remember we did a very L TV kind of style. Yeah, yeah. How did you channel your inner Al just gotta be weird? That's good advice.

SPEAKER_23

I I don't have the hair for it, so Oh, I feel that.

SPEAKER_03

I'm losing it all up on top here. But switching gears a little, let's talk small wonder. Now that's a deep cut in the best way. Like, what was it like stepping into that episode as a guest?

SPEAKER_23

That was amazing. I hated that episode so much. It was absolutely next next time I am on this show. Please, anything. I mean, I've signed up for a whole bunch of episodes, but please, anything better than Small Mother, please. Well, I'll do what you think.

SPEAKER_03

It was a little rough for sure, but it's a fun nomination because it was a great episode, though.

SPEAKER_23

I had it was a great conversation.

SPEAKER_03

We definitely had a blast talking about Vicky. But you know, Radis New Guest, it's all about making an impression right out of the gate. Did you feel any pressure going into that appearance?

SPEAKER_23

No, because you had already appeared on my podcast, so I I knew kind of what it was gonna be like when I'd listened to your show before.

SPEAKER_03

Right on. Well, yeah, I mean you sound like a natural. Let's talk red carpet looks, because you're looking sharp tonight. Who are you wearing?

SPEAKER_23

So I'm wearing the classic weird owl wig and the robotic body of Chiron. That sounds wrong. That sounds wrong.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, a little bit for sure. Well, you're looking a yes, very Daniel Robin.

SPEAKER_23

I wouldn't program like this. I I I am actually a robot.

SPEAKER_03

I promise I won't tell our listeners there, but uh it's very clean, it's very classic, very I might win multiple rattys tonight. And you're dying to get inside, but I gotta ask, like, what are you most excited to see tonight?

SPEAKER_23

I'm most excited to see Mike Westball getting stayed burned. Oh wait, no, never mind. That was last year.

SPEAKER_03

That was last year, yeah, yeah. Uh we couldn't have foreseen that, so but nothing like that's gonna happen this year. We're pretty, I think we're we're pretty just just foolproof tonight, so I think we should be okay.

SPEAKER_23

Yeah, you say that every year, but something always happens.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, we're good. We're good this year. Caleb Cody from Insert Reference here, everybody. Best of luck tonight. We'll uh we'll be rooting for you, and thanks for stopping by, bud. Alright, cool. We'll be right back after this commercial break.

SPEAKER_14

Merry Christmas, Fuzzy! Oh boy! What is it? It's a birdhouse. It's a one-step fuzzy. Take a picture. Just point it and press the button. That's gonna be over his head. Point it at one. Now what? It is over his head. Press the button! Hey, this is easy! I'm beautiful. Kick more. You see one-step pictures along with the presents, and there's no simpler camera, no simpler bear.

SPEAKER_03

You know, we have some real heavy hitters this year, one of which we have with us, Jeff Lofton from the Lost Christmas Podcast, with several nominations this year. How does it feel to be nominated for not one, not two, but seven awards tonight, Jeff?

I am so honored to have been nominated for so many awards, and really it just goes back to having a great friend like Jerry. Jerry, thank you so much for having me on the podcast so often. And, you know, uh the other guests that I've been been lucky enough to have been on with, they're just they're fantastic. The the content makes it great. There's just so much stuff to cover, so much fun stuff around Christmas and other holidays. Just I just feel super, super blessed to have been able to uh to be on as frequently as I was, and that people enjoyed your your show enough to nominate the episodes that I was in.

SPEAKER_03

So, Jeff, tell us a bit about your experience creating that spectacular episode on the Cosby show. What was it like working with Joe Martinez?

SPEAKER_12

Joe Martinez is absolutely hilarious. He's super smart, has has a great perspective on on uh 80s stuff, 90s stuff comic books, all kinds of wonderful stuff. And every time I've been on with him, every time I've chatted with him, it's been it's been a blast. So, you know, what was it like working with Joe? It was the best. It was absolutely fantastic, and I'm looking forward to the next time.

SPEAKER_03

Definitely an awesome collaboration. But let's talk about your nomination for Radist Alternate Dimension Full of Siblings episode. What do you think sets you apart from the other nominees?

SPEAKER_12

So, what sets me apart from other nominees is the fact that I get super weird, right? So I you know, I have no problem with with going into the the weirdness of an episode or of exploring alternate dimensions and things like that. I think it's it's it's just natural. I'm very creative, and you know, I the way that I my brain connects things, I think it's just unique. And so if anybody's like me and likes to explore those like what-ifs, then then maybe they they enjoyed this too.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we're certainly proud to have you here tonight. And speaking of siblings, do you have brothers and sisters? And if so, how proud are they of your ratty wins and nominations?

SPEAKER_12

I do have siblings. I have one brother and two sisters. My my late sister, my younger sister, passed away in 2005, so I'm sure she would be would be very, very proud. She and I would sit and watch TV and uh we would watch cartoons and and TV shows, and uh we just had a great time. My older sister, she and I have a great relationship as well. In fact, she's getting married uh later this fall, so shout out Tiffany. Yeah, we have uh we have a great relationship. They would be super proud of these ratty wins, and they are, and uh and of the nominations just in general. You know, we're we're pretty supportive of each other, and yeah, uh shout out Matt and Tiffany. Thanks y'all.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'm sure they're super proud. So, uh, what's coming up on Lost Christmas this season?

SPEAKER_12

So coming up on this season of the Lost Christmas podcast, I am really, really excited. So I'm dy digging into deeper history of some of the traditions that people haven't even considered why we do the things that we do. From competitions to to different lighting structures to to songs that we sing and uh some more food and drink. And then I have a couple of a couple of episodes where I'm I'm gonna dig into some more Santa's around the world, which are always fan favorites. Uh, and then I'm gonna do a uh revisitation of of who is Santa Claus. So that'll be a two-parter coming up this season. Um really excited about that one. With this being season seven, it'll be a it'll be a fun one.

SPEAKER_03

And finally, is anything you're looking forward to tonight?

SPEAKER_12

What I'm looking forward to tonight at the Raddies is all the awesome people and the hilarity of it. Jerry, you always do such a good job of bringing people together. That's why you're the Pod Father, the Christmas Pod Father. So I'm just looking forward to to hearing everybody and and revisiting some of these episodes. And I just I'm feel super, super lucky to have these great friends and these great listeners to be that to be a a part of this with.

SPEAKER_03

Well, for now we'll let you get back to enjoying the festivities. Thanks for chatting with us, Jeff. Good luck tonight.

SPEAKER_12

Alright, perfect, Jerry.

SPEAKER_03

Our next guest is a multiple nominee tonight, Art Kilmer from a Cozy Christmas, nominated for Raddiss Halloween episode for Garfield with Cecilia Davila, and also Raddiss Theology Brothers episode. Art, congratulations.

SPEAKER_07

Oh hey, thanks, Jerry. It is always an honor to be nominated. But this year I'm really excited to be nominated for the two shows. So yeah, this is great. Everyone here looks so beautiful and handsome in their outfits. It's such a night of glamour.

SPEAKER_03

So, Art, let's start with your nomination for the Raddest Halloween episode. What was it like working on Garfield with Cece?

SPEAKER_07

Oh, I loved it. Cece was an amazing. I I have to admit, I was a little starstruck, to be honest. I didn't know what to expect when you work with such a capable, incredible celebrity like Cece is, and and I mean we all know who her dad is. Part of me wondered, you know, is just is she like a Nepo baby? What's going on? But she was so down to earth, so r so real, and you know, I think her love for Garfield really came out in in that show. And if we win for that tonight, it'll be mostly her who won it for us. She was just incredible. I would love to work with her again sometime. It's great to hear. What can you tell us about the episode itself? Like what made it so rad? Well, what made the episode so rad was just getting to talk about Garfield. I mean, he has been a integral part of my life since I could remember reading comics. And getting the opportunity to talk about Garfield and you know my histories with him and and what some of the Garfield specials have meant for to me. It's just been a really an incredible honor.

SPEAKER_03

Let's move on to your nomination for the Raddus Theology Brothers episode. What was it for and what made it so rad?

SPEAKER_07

Alright. Oh yeah, the my other one, I'm just equally excited about uh being nominated with Tom for our Theology Brothers episode. We talked about the I gotta make sure I can pronounce this right, the Octavo Calendus Ianyari. Uh-oh, I butchered that, sorry. Anyway, it's it's the hymn or the chant uh the about the proclamation of the nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have really, really enjoyed the being able to talk theology with you and Tom, and that's definitely the rattest part of being on that episode. Plus, it's become traditional for us to talk on Christmas Eve. And that's so special.

SPEAKER_03

That's amazing and pretty intense. Uh wonderful episode. I loved it. How did you prepare for that episode?

SPEAKER_07

How did I prepare for that episode? Orally? I I watched that the chant, the videos of the chant. So much of it though is beyond what I'm used to in my own faith traditions. But that's really what I enjoy talking about with you guys is exploring new areas and learning new things about about the meaning of Christmas. That sounds like a blast. And art, who are you wearing? Is it inspired by anything in particular? Oh, who am I wearing? Let's see. I I think the brand is Oppa Suits, but it comes from Target. It's one of their Christmas suits. But since we're down here in Texas and it's super hot, I I I opted with the shorts version. So, you know, business on the top, party on the bottom. And of course, it's bright red with pictures of Santa and presents and Christmas decor all over it. Yeah. I I saw that on the rack and knew I had to have it.

SPEAKER_03

Well Art, we wish you the best of luck tonight, and we can't wait to see who takes home Braddies. Thank you for joining us.

SPEAKER_07

Thanks for the red carpet greeting, Jerry. And but yeah, before I go in, I gotta go find my personal assistant. They were handing out shots of espresso, and I'm gonna need to be amped up for tonight's show. I hear it's gonna be a long one.

SPEAKER_03

Good luck with your nominations.

SPEAKER_06

One cold winter's eve, Bertie and Grimms wandered McDonald's land in search of Ronald! Got any bright ideas? When lo and behold, a little star hopped from the heavens and twinkled down to earth. Maybe we can catch it! And so they did. The little star was wrapped and ribbon and given button.

SPEAKER_05

Oh dear me. Twinkle. It didn't. You see, Bertie and Grimace, a star can never belong just to me. It belongs way up high for everyone to see. So let's wish him home where it'll twinkle and glow. And so they did as they stood in the snow. Look! The star's back at home in the sky. Good as new. And I have the best gift of all. Friends like you. Happy holidays from McDonald's.
