Today's special guest is Vanessa Reiser. She's a survivor of narcissistic domestic abuse; she's also an ultramarathoner, life coach, clinical social worker, and therapist. In a little over a week, she will set out to run 285 miles across the entire state of New York in a wedding dress to raise awareness for domestic abuse. She plans to raise $200,000 for abuse centers in each of the counties she runs through. This force of nature will begin in Osweego, NY, on May 17th, and she'll complete the run on May 29th. The distance is the equivalent of running 11 marathons, which is basically running a marathon a day. Vanessa healed her past by running, and she'll carry all of the stories of the people she's healed, helped, and inspired across the finish line. Talk about filling BIG sneakers!
