We can be challenged and motivated by the life of Jonathan. In 1 Samuel 14, we see him portrayed as a type of Christ. The Lord used Jonathan in a mighty way during his time. But, Jesus is the one who saves, rescues, and brings victory to His people.

Jonathan’s faith is simple. 

We need to act with the same, simple obedience. Let’s look at the trouble of the Philistines and Israelites in this passage and see the power and sovereignty of the Lord in it.
