#38 - Mike Lu (Triller Founder & CEO)
Creating original videos online has never been easier or more popular thanks to the explosion of user friendly apps that are giving anyone and everyone a creative outlet to be seen and heard. Until recently, TikTok seemed to be the only game in town, but fears of privacy breaches and a presidential threat to ban TikTok in the U.S. have helped elevate the app Triller. What started in 2015 as a modest platform to help struggling musicians edit and distribute music has now become THE social media platform for all kinds of content creators and artists like Snoop Dog, Cardi B and Alicia Keys. Mike Lu, founder and CEO of Triller, had big dreams for his company when he launched it and now those dreams are becoming a reality. In this episode, Mike shares his beginnings, the stunning growth of the company now and the huge plans he has for Triller going forward.
