SPEAKER_00:

Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day. Good morning! Today is Friday, September 5, 2025. Please join me in praying the morning offering prayer and prayers for our Holy Father. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular, for the holy intentions of the Holy Father this month. Amen. Prayers for Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Quote from Saint Alphonsus Liguori. Mary was the most perfect among the saints, only because she was always perfectly united to the will of God. Meditation of the Day, an excerpt from Augustine Day by Day, by St. Augustine, page 144. Walking by faith, let us do good works. In these, let there be a free love of God for His own sake and an active love for our neighbor, for there is nothing we can do for God. But because we have something we can do for our neighbor, we shall, by our good offices to the needy, gain the favor of Him who is the source of all abundance. Let us then do what we can for others. Let us freely bestow upon the needy out of our abundance. Scripture verse of the day This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118 verse 24 Saint of the Day The Saint of the Day for September 5th is Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta lived between 1910 and 1997. She was known simply as Mother Teresa. She was born to a family of Albanian descent in what is now Macedonia. As a young girl, Mother Teresa was fascinated by stories she heard of missionaries serving in India. By age 12, she discerned a vocation to the religious life, and at the age joined the Sisters of Loreto as a missionary to India. She chose her religious name after Saint Therese of Lisieux, the patron saint of missionaries. She arrived in Calcutta, India in 1929 and taught at a schoolhouse for wealthy children, eventually becoming headmistress. She enjoyed her work, but became increasingly disturbed by the extreme poverty and societal unrest she observed around her. In 1946, she received a call within a call. and began her own religious order in Calcutta dedicated to ministering to, in her words, the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone. This order was established in 1950 with 12 sisters and named the Missionaries of Charity. By the time of her death, on September 5, 1997, the Missionaries of Charity had grown to 4,000 sisters, operating 610 missions in 123 countries. She received the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize and the Nobel Peace Prize for her inspiring work with social outcasts. Mother Teresa was canonized by Pope Francis on September 4, 2016. Saint Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us. Readings for Holy Mass for Friday of the 22nd week in Ordinary Time A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Colossians, chapter 1, verses 15-20 Brothers and sisters, Christ Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross, through him, whether those on earth or those in heaven. The Word of the Lord. Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 100. Enter his gates with thanksgiving. Come with joy into the presence of the Lord. For he is good, the Lord, whose kindness endures forever and his faithfulness through all generations. Come with joy into the presence of the Lord. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke, chapter 5, verses 33-39. Jesus answered them, The Bible says, The Gospel of the Lord Prayer of Spiritual Communion Amen. Prayer to Saint Joseph O glorious Saint Joseph, chosen by God to be the guardian of the Holy Family, whose protection is so great, so strong, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Savior Jesus Christ, send down from heaven a blessing from God to protect us from any harm, strengthen us in body, soul, and spirit. We ask this through thy powerful intercession. Holy Family, pray for us. Amen. Guardian Angel Prayer O angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. The Three Hail Marys Devotion The third Hail Mary, in honor of God, the Holy Spirit. Memorare to the Blessed Virgin Mary Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Oh my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man, died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die. Amen. Act of Hope Oh my God, relying on your almighty power, infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of your grace and the life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen. Act of Love Oh my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul because you are all good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Act of Resignation to the Divine Will O Lord my God, from this moment do I accept from thy hands, with burning love and sincere contrition, with a calm and willing disposition, whatsoever death thou shalt choose to send me, with its pains and griefs. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day.
