Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day. Good morning! Today is Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Please join me in praying the morning offering prayer and prayers for our Holy Father. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the holy intentions of the Holy Father this month. Amen. Prayers for Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father, In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Quote from Saint Therese of Lisieux, I'm certain of this, that if my conscience were burdened with all the sins it's possible to commit, I would still go and throw myself into our Lord's arms, my heart all broken up with contrition. I know what tenderness he has for any prodigal son of his who comes back to him. Meditation of the Day, an excerpt from The Imitation of Christ by Thomas Akimpas, Book 2, Chapter 12. He says, At times troubled by those about you, and, what is worse, you will often grow weary of yourself. You cannot escape. You cannot be relieved by any remedy or comfort, but must bear with it as long as God wills. For He wishes you to learn to bear trial without consolation, to submit yourself wholly to Him, that you may become more humble through suffering. No one understands the passion of Christ so thoroughly or heartily as the man whose lot it is to suffer the like himself. The cross, therefore, is always ready. It awaits you everywhere. No matter where you may go, you cannot escape it. For wherever you go, you take yourself with you and shall always find yourself. Turn where you will, above, below, without, or within. You will find a cross in everything. And everywhere you must have patience, if you would have peace within and merit an eternal crown. Scripture verse of the day. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that 2 Timothy 4, verses 5-8 Saint of the Day The Saint of the Day for September 24th is Saint Gerard Sagredo. Saint Gerard Sagredo lived between 980 and 1046 AD. He was born in Venice, Italy. From an early age, he desired to dedicate his life to God and as a young man became a Benedictine monk. He first served as abbot at a monastery in Venice, but left to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. While passing through Hungary, he met the Hungarian king, Saint Stephen, who asked him to stay in his country to evangelize and minister to his people. St. Gerard agreed and was named Bishop of Sanad and the royal tutor of the Hungarian prince. He ministered tirelessly among the Hungarian people and helped to convert the whole country to Christianity, for which he is called the Apostle of Hungary. After the death of King St. Stephen, there was a pagan uprising against the Christians, and St. Gerard was martyred for the faith a St. Gerard Sagrado is the patron saint of Hungary. St. Gerard Sagrado, pray for us. Readings for Holy Mass for Wednesday of the 25th week in Ordinary Time. A reading from the Book of Ezra, chapter 9, verses 5-9. At the time of the evening sacrifice, I, Ezra, rose in my wretchedness, and with my cloak and mantle torn, I fell on my knees, stretching out my hands to the Lord my God. I said, My God, I am too ashamed and confounded to raise my face to you, O my God, for our wicked deed And for our wicked deeds we have been delivered up, we and our kings and our priests, to the will of the kings of foreign lands, to the sword, to captivity, to pillage, and to disgrace, as is the case today. And now, but a short time ago, mercy came to us from the Lord our God, who left us a remnant and gave The Word of the Lord. Responsorial Psalm, Tobit chapter 13. Blessed be God who lives forever. He scourges and then has mercy. He casts down to the depths of the netherworld and he brings up from the great abyss. No one can escape his hand. Blessed be God who lives forever. Praise him, you children of Israel, before the Gentiles, for though he has scattered you among them, he has shown you his greatness even there. Blessed be God, who lives forever. So now consider what he has done for you and praise him with full voice. Bless the Lord of righteousness and exalt the King of ages. Blessed be God, who lives forever. In the land of my exile, I praise him and show his power and majesty to a sinful nation. Blessed be God, who lives forever. Blessed be God, who lives forever. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke, chapter 9, verses 1-6. Jesus summoned the twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases. And he sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He said to them, Then they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. Amen. Prayer to Saint Joseph O glorious Saint Joseph, chosen by God to be the guardian of the Holy Family, whose protection is so great, so strong, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Savior Jesus Christ, send down from heaven a blessing from God to protect us from any harm, strengthen us in body, soul, and spirit. We ask this through thy powerful intercession. Holy Family, pray for us. Amen. Guardian Angel Prayer O angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. The Three Hail Marys Devotion Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The third Hail Mary, in honor of God the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. O my mother, preserve my soul from mortal sin during this day. Amen. Memorare to the Blessed Virgin Mary Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Oh my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man, died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die. Amen. Act of Hope Oh my God, relying on your almighty power, infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of your grace, and the life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen. Act of Love Oh my God, I love you above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because you are all good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself, for the love I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Prayer for the Poor Souls in Purgatory O gentle heart of Jesus, ever present in the blessed sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in purgatory, have mercy on them. Be not severe in thy judgment, but let some drops of thy precious blood fall upon the devouring flames. Merciful Savior, send thy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light, and peace. Amen. Active Resignation to the Divine Will In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day.
