Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day. Good morning. Today is Monday, november third, 2025. Please join me in praying the morning offering prayer and prayers for our Holy Father. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of your sacred heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the holy intentions of the Holy Father this month, amen. Prayers for the Holy Father Almighty and everlasting God, have mercy upon thy servant, Pope Leo XV, our supreme pontiff, and direct him according to thy loving kindness in the way of eternal salvation, that of thy gift he may ever desire that which is pleasing unto thee, and may accomplish it with all his might, through Christ our Lord, amen. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Quote from Saint Anthony Mary Claret For a son of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a man on fire with love, who spreads its flames wherever he goes. He desires mightily, and strives by all means possible to set the whole world on fire with God's love. Nothing daunts him, he delights in privations, welcomes work, embraces sacrifices, smiles at slander, and rejoices in suffering. His only concern is how he can best follow Jesus Christ and imitate him in working, suffering, and striving constantly and single-mindedly for the greater glory of God and the salvation of souls. Meditation of the Day, an excerpt from The Dolores Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, pages 351 to 352. Our Lord, by descending into hell, planted, if I may thus express myself, in the spiritual garden of the church, a mysterious tree, the fruits of which, namely his merits, are destined for the constant relief of the poor souls in purgatory. The church militant must cultivate the tree and gather its fruits in order to present them to that suffering portion of the church which can do nothing for itself. Thus it is with all the merits of Christ. We must labor with him if we wish to obtain our share of them. We must gain our bread by the sweat of our brow. Everything which our Lord has done for us in time must produce fruit for eternity, but we must gather these fruits in time, without which we cannot possess them in eternity. The Church is the most prudent and thoughtful of mothers. The ecclesiastical year is an immense and magnificent garden in which all those fruits for eternity are gathered together, that we may make use of them in time. Each year contains sufficient to supply the wants of all, but woe be to that careless or dishonest gardener who allows any of the fruit committed to his care to perish. If he fails to turn to a proper account those grace, which would restore health to the sick, strength to the weak, or furnish food to the hungry, when the day of judgment arrives, the master of the garden will demand a strict account, not only of every tree, but also of all the fruit produced in the garden. Scripture verse of the day Be still and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm forty six verses ten through eleven. Saint of the day. The saint of the day for November third is Saint Martin de Poras. Saint Martin de Porras lived between 1569 and 1639. He was born in Lima, Peru. He was the illegitimate son of a Spanish nobleman and a freed slave woman from Panama, of either African or Native American descent. His parents never married. For the first eight years of his life his father did not acknowledge him and abandoned the family after Martin's sister was born.

Martin de Porras was raised in poverty with the societal stigma of being mixed raced. As a young man he served as an assistant to a barber surgeon where he learned medicine and the care of the sick. When he was fifteen he joined the Dominican friars as a helper, eventually becoming a lay brother, which at the time was forbidden for the children of slaves by Peruvian law. He took on the work of nursing the sick in the Dominican infirmary, as well as the sick among the townspeople, even giving a sick man his own bed. He was also made almaner and begged money to assist his work with the poor and sick. He founded an orphanage, tended to slaves brought from Africa, and dispensed alms to the needy. His prayers and penances were so great that he soon demonstrated miraculous powers. In addition to healing the sick, his other miracles were by location, levitation, hidden knowledge, and the ability to communicate with animals. Word of his sanctity spread, and people from all walks of life came to him for spiritual direction. Saint Martin de Poras is the patron saint of social justice, biracial people, African Americans, hairdressers, barbers, public education, public health, and the poor. And today, november third, is the feast day of Saint Martin de Poras. Devotion of the Month November is the month of the Holy Souls. The Catholic Church dedicates the entire month of November to praying in a special way for the holy souls in purgatory. The holy souls, also called the faithful departed, are members of the Church who await the purification of their souls before joining the saints in heaven for all eternity. Specifically, they are referred to as the church suffering, the saints in heaven are the church triumphant, and the faithful on earth are the church militant. The poor souls in purgatory cannot pray for themselves or do anything to hasten their entrance into heaven, but we can and ought to pray for them as an act of charity. Readings for Holy Mass for Monday of the thirty first week in ordinary time. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans, chapter eleven verses twenty nine through thirty six. Brothers and sisters, the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable. Just as you once disobeyed God, but have now received mercy because of their disobedience, so they have now disobeyed in order that, by virtue of the mercy shown to you, they too may now receive mercy, for God delivered all to disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all. O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God, how inscrutable are his judgments, and how unsearchable his ways, for who has known the mind of the Lord or who has become his counselor? Or who has given him anything that he may be repaid? For from him and through him and for him are all things. To God be glory forever, amen. The Word of the Lord Responsorial Psalm Psalm sixty nine Lord in your great love answer me. But I am afflicted and in pain. Let your saving help, O God, protect me. I will praise the name of God in song and I will glorify him with thanksgiving. Lord in your great love, answer me. See you lowly ones, and be glad, you who seek God, may your hearts revive, for the Lord hears the poor, and his own who are in bonds he spurns not. Lord in your great love, answer me. For God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah, they shall dwell in the land and own it, and the descendants of his servants shall inherit it, and those who love his name shall inhabit it. Lord in your great love, answer me. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke, chapter fourteen verses twelve through fourteen. On a Sabbath Jesus went to dine at the home of one of the leading Pharisees. He said to the host who invited him, When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment. Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind. Blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. The Gospel of the Lord. Prayer of Spiritual Communion In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. Morning Glory Consecration Prayer Mary, my mother, I give myself totally to you as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all that I am and have, whatever most pleases you. Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for bringing the greatest possible glory to God. Amen. Prayer to Saint Joseph. O glorious Saint Joseph, chosen by God to be the guardian of the Holy Family, whose protection is so great, so strong, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Savior Jesus Christ, send down from heaven a blessing from God to protect us from any harm, strengthen us in body, soul, and spirit. We ask this through thy powerful intercession. Holy Family, pray for us, amen. Guardian Angel Prayer O angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide, amen. Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls, amen. The three Hail Marys Devotion The first Hail Mary in honor of God the Father. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. The second Hail Mary in honor of God the Son. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. The third Hail Mary, in honor of God, the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. O my mother, preserve my soul from mortal sin during this day. Amen. Memori to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my mother, to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Act of Faith. O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man, died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them who can neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die. Amen. Act of hope. O my God, relying on your almighty power, infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of your grace, and the life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen. Act of love. O my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul, because you are all good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen. Prayer for the poor souls in purgatory. O gentle heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in purgatory, have mercy on them. Be not severe in thy judgment, but let some drops of thy precious blood fall upon the devouring flames. Merciful Savior, send thy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light, and peace. Amen. Active resignation to the divine will. O Lord my God, from this moment do I accept from thy hands with burning love and sincere contrition, with a calm and willing disposition, whatsoever death thou shalt choose to send me with its pains and griefs. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day.
