There's a"},{"startTime":112.1,"endTime":116.36,"body":"real intrinsic value in helping"},{"startTime":116.36,"endTime":120.62,"body":"people find jobs. And for"},{"startTime":116.36,"endTime":120.62,"body":"me, it came from a"},{"startTime":120.62,"endTime":122.54,"body":"period in my own life"},{"startTime":120.62,"endTime":122.54,"body":"where it was really hard"},{"startTime":122.54,"endTime":125.21,"body":"for me to find a"},{"startTime":122.54,"endTime":125.21,"body":"job in my twenties. I"},{"startTime":125.21,"endTime":128.06,"body":"got married at 20 years"},{"startTime":125.21,"endTime":128.06,"body":"old, a wet behind the"},{"startTime":128.09,"endTime":133.13,"body":"ears with no schooling, no"},{"startTime":128.09,"endTime":133.13,"body":"skills, no talents, just a"},{"startTime":133.13,"endTime":137.93,"body":"lot of ambition and energy."},{"startTime":133.13,"endTime":137.93,"body":"And you know, the reality"},{"startTime":137.93,"endTime":139.28,"body":"is that I tell people"},{"startTime":137.93,"endTime":139.28,"body":"all the time I've been"},{"startTime":139.28,"endTime":145.01,"body":"fired from every good job"},{"startTime":139.28,"endTime":145.01,"body":"I've ever had, but there's"},{"startTime":145.01,"endTime":147.26,"body":"a period of time in"},{"startTime":145.01,"endTime":147.26,"body":"my early twenties when I"},{"startTime":147.26,"endTime":149.72,"body":"was out of work for"},{"startTime":147.26,"endTime":149.72,"body":"probably six months or more."},{"startTime":149.93,"endTime":153.86,"body":"And a couple of times"},{"startTime":149.93,"endTime":153.86,"body":"in that period, I interviewed"},{"startTime":153.86,"endTime":157.61,"body":"at companies that were staffing"},{"startTime":153.86,"endTime":157.61,"body":"companies there's were, I was"},{"startTime":157.61,"endTime":161.21,"body":"interviewing for a job to"},{"startTime":157.61,"endTime":161.21,"body":"sell their services. And even"},{"startTime":161.21,"endTime":164.06,"body":"while I didn't get those"},{"startTime":161.21,"endTime":164.06,"body":"jobs and I wouldn't have"},{"startTime":164.06,"endTime":166.58,"body":"given me the job either,"},{"startTime":164.06,"endTime":166.58,"body":"but even while I didn't"},{"startTime":166.58,"endTime":170.09,"body":"get those jobs, I caught"},{"startTime":166.58,"endTime":170.09,"body":"a vision for the idea"},{"startTime":170.36,"endTime":174.14,"body":"of helping people feed their"},{"startTime":170.36,"endTime":174.14,"body":"families. I was struggling to"},{"startTime":174.14,"endTime":177.53,"body":"feed my own family at"},{"startTime":174.14,"endTime":177.53,"body":"the time and the idea"},{"startTime":177.53,"endTime":180.79,"body":"of helping people jobs so"},{"startTime":177.53,"endTime":180.79,"body":"that they could feed their"},{"startTime":180.79,"endTime":185.62,"body":"families was really rewarding to"},{"startTime":180.79,"endTime":185.62,"body":"me and something that just"},{"startTime":186.31,"endTime":190.75,"body":"caught for me. And I, they were"},{"startTime":314.13,"endTime":319.29,"body":"a client of my brothers"},{"startTime":314.13,"endTime":319.29,"body":"at the time and my"},{"startTime":319.29,"endTime":322.2,"body":"brother's an accountant in Oakville"},{"startTime":319.29,"endTime":322.2,"body":"and they had a good"},{"startTime":322.2,"endTime":326.34,"body":"working relationship and they agreed"},{"startTime":322.2,"endTime":326.34,"body":"to teach me the business,"},{"startTime":326.61,"endTime":329.01,"body":"knowing that I was going"},{"startTime":326.61,"endTime":329.01,"body":"to start my own. So, you know, you"},{"startTime":455.32,"endTime":461.38,"body":"can't, the staffing industry actually"},{"startTime":461.38,"endTime":467.26,"body":"represents somewhere between four and"},{"startTime":461.38,"endTime":467.26,"body":"6% of all employees that"},{"startTime":467.26,"endTime":470.11,"body":"are employed in Canada at"},{"startTime":467.26,"endTime":470.11,"body":"any given time. So it's"},{"startTime":470.11,"endTime":474.88,"body":"a significant percentage of the"},{"startTime":470.11,"endTime":474.88,"body":"population. And, you know, really"},{"startTime":475.63,"endTime":479.17,"body":"the trucking industry wouldn't represent"},{"startTime":475.63,"endTime":479.17,"body":"that many employees of the"},{"startTime":479.17,"endTime":483.49,"body":"total employment structure of Canada."},{"startTime":479.17,"endTime":483.49,"body":"I don't think."},{"startTime":484.51,"endTime":487.36,"body":"Yeah. That's a huge amount"},{"startTime":484.51,"endTime":487.36,"body":"of people that work through"},{"startTime":487.39,"endTime":490.12,"body":"a staffing service. I didn't"},{"startTime":487.39,"endTime":490.12,"body":"realize that."},{"startTime":491.05,"endTime":493.69,"body":"Yeah. One of the challenges,"},{"startTime":491.05,"endTime":493.69,"body":"as you know, Chris is,"},{"startTime":494.11,"endTime":501.61,"body":"you know, separating the good"},{"startTime":494.11,"endTime":501.61,"body":"legitimate agencies who are there"},{"startTime":501.61,"endTime":508.6,"body":"to help people and to"},{"startTime":501.61,"endTime":508.6,"body":"help companies and pretenders who"},{"startTime":508.99,"endTime":512.83,"body":"are there, you know, making"},{"startTime":508.99,"endTime":512.83,"body":"their money on the backs"},{"startTime":512.83,"endTime":516.58,"body":"of the people, not helping"},{"startTime":512.83,"endTime":516.58,"body":"the people up, but pushing"},{"startTime":516.58,"endTime":520.27,"body":"the people down and taking"},{"startTime":516.58,"endTime":520.27,"body":"advantage of them, people that"},{"startTime":520.27,"endTime":523.0,"body":"aren't paying their fair share"},{"startTime":520.27,"endTime":523.0,"body":"of taxes, people that are"},{"startTime":523.93,"endTime":528.04,"body":"what I would really refer"},{"startTime":523.93,"endTime":528.04,"body":"to as illegitimate operators and,"},{"startTime":528.35,"endTime":531.7,"body":"you know, revolution, staffing got"},{"startTime":528.35,"endTime":531.7,"body":"its name because we wanted"},{"startTime":531.7,"endTime":536.19,"body":"to change the way people"},{"startTime":531.7,"endTime":536.19,"body":"thought about agencies, because, you"},{"startTime":536.19,"endTime":540.57,"body":"know, too, you alluded to"},{"startTime":536.19,"endTime":540.57,"body":"this earlier, not all agencies"},{"startTime":541.23,"endTime":544.77,"body":"and not all people's experiences"},{"startTime":541.23,"endTime":544.77,"body":"with agencies have been positive."},{"startTime":545.16,"endTime":547.83,"body":"And so what we're trying"},{"startTime":545.16,"endTime":547.83,"body":"to do really is to"},{"startTime":547.83,"endTime":554.22,"body":"change the way both candidates"},{"startTime":547.83,"endTime":554.22,"body":"and employers feel about working"},{"startTime":554.22,"endTime":558.45,"body":"with an agency and to"},{"startTime":554.22,"endTime":558.45,"body":"really create a proactive partnership"},{"startTime":558.45,"endTime":559.11,"body":"between the two them."},{"startTime":560.36,"endTime":563.21,"body":"Well, I can tell you,"},{"startTime":560.36,"endTime":563.21,"body":"you know, my history is"},{"startTime":563.27,"endTime":566.27,"body":"30 years or more ago"},{"startTime":563.27,"endTime":566.27,"body":"when I was running the"},{"startTime":566.27,"endTime":573.65,"body":"Sears operation and on Saturdays"},{"startTime":566.27,"endTime":573.65,"body":"we needed helpers and we"},{"startTime":573.65,"endTime":576.44,"body":"could never get enough helper,"},{"startTime":573.65,"endTime":576.44,"body":"so help on limited. And"},{"startTime":576.44,"endTime":580.88,"body":"there was one other company,"},{"startTime":576.44,"endTime":580.88,"body":"I forget their name supplied"},{"startTime":580.88,"endTime":587.51,"body":"us in those days with"},{"startTime":580.88,"endTime":587.51,"body":"helpers and S it was"},{"startTime":587.51,"endTime":593.39,"body":"sometimes a challenge because they"},{"startTime":587.51,"endTime":593.39,"body":"would truly be unskilled on"},{"startTime":593.39,"endTime":596.21,"body":"a Saturday morning and they"},{"startTime":593.39,"endTime":596.21,"body":"were there to earn a"},{"startTime":596.21,"endTime":599.54,"body":"buck. And, you know, some"},{"startTime":596.21,"endTime":599.54,"body":"of them were a challenge."},{"startTime":599.57,"endTime":601.91,"body":"I'll tell you, the majority"},{"startTime":599.57,"endTime":601.91,"body":"of them were really good"},{"startTime":601.91,"endTime":604.82,"body":"people that did a great"},{"startTime":601.91,"endTime":604.82,"body":"job because I was often"},{"startTime":604.82,"endTime":606.44,"body":"a driver in those days."},{"startTime":606.44,"endTime":609.53,"body":"And I had to work"},{"startTime":606.44,"endTime":609.53,"body":"with this film.
