What if some of the woman you’ve been working so hard to become is already here?
This week on The Well Done Life, we’re closing out the conversation that began with Courageous Decisions and continued with Stand On It: Courage Has Consequences.
We’ve talked about making the decision. We’ve talked about standing on it when other people don’t understand it.
Now it’s time to own it.
Doing this series gave me an opportunity to reflect on the decisions I’ve made for myself, my family and my life—and to recognize something powerful: I’m worth it. And I’m worth trusting.
In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when you stop treating yourself like a perpetual renovation project and recognize that some of the work you’ve been doing is actually working.
We’re talking about healing without making healing our identity. Therapy as a tool rather than a place we constantly go searching for what’s wrong. Recognizing the fruit of our consistency. Trusting the skills we’ve developed. Allowing ourselves to experience peace without waiting for the other shoe to drop.
And most importantly, we’re talking about giving ourselves permission to LIVE.
Owning yourself doesn’t mean you’ve arrived. You can still grow, learn, apologize, change your mind, ask for help and discover new things about yourself.
The difference is that instead of constantly asking, “What’s wrong with me?” you begin from a place of “I trust myself to handle what comes next.”
Maybe becoming isn’t always about turning into somebody new.
Maybe sometimes becoming is finally giving yourself permission to be who you’ve been all along.
You made the courageous decision.
You stood on it.
Now own it.
Walk in it. Rest in it. Enjoy the fruit—and keep tending what God has trusted you to grow.

Hello, I'm Pamela Davis Brown. Welcome to episode 258 of the Well Done Life Podcast. And hello, welcome back to episode 258 of the Well Done Life Podcast. I'm your host, Pamela Davis Brown. If you are new here, hey, how are you? Welcome. I am so glad that you're here with us this week. I hope that you will stay for a very long time and bring lots of friends. And if you've been here before, you guys know the deal. I love you deep. Thank you so much for continuing to rock with me. I wouldn't be at this point without you. And I am always inspired by you and just grateful that I get to create this space and share this time with you. So thank you. And of course, I want you to stick around and always bring lots of friends. Um, before we get started, though, I always like to make sure that I'm pretty foundational. You know, I really feel like we are building a safe space, a house. And so it's very important to me that I treat our safe space very carefully and that I honor the foundation that we've put here. And our foundation is built on two very important things, and that is clarity and love. Clarity is really straightforward. I just want to make sure that you understand that the Well Done Life brand is something that I created for women because I needed a space where women could connect with each other, where we could be seen, where we could share our stories. Because I truly believe in the power of our journeys. And so I hope that by me sharing mine as well as spotlighting other women, that I will give you the energy and strength that you need to share your story. Because you never know who's watching you, you never know who's inspired by you. You never know how someone could be lifted and motivated by you. So I just want to create that space for all of us because it's important to really pour into each other. I feel like that is our rent for our time being on this earth. We get a chance to allow our lives to be a testimony to someone else, knowingly or unbeknowingly to us. So I really hope that you feel seen and heard and loved in these stories and understand that if we can survive these things, you can too. And then that also leads me right into my second foundation, which is one of my favorite foundations. I'm a sucker for love. I believe in love. And so everything that we do in this space is always going to be rooted in love. And before I always like to introduce new topics or talk about things, I feel like it's important to set the intention right with prayer. I truly am a believer in the power of prayer. I believe it when two or more people come together, prayer is magnified. And so I have been standing on some foundational prayers because the world is crazy. And I feel like I'm going to need to keep standing on these foundational prayers for a long time. But hey, we are here and we are in it together. And so my first foundational prayer that I always like to stand on is peace. In a world that is so chaotic and noisy, it is essential that you carve out moments for yourself to have peace. And when I say peace, it's just moments of stillness, moments where you can allow yourself to regulate, where you can allow the noise of the world to kind of be shut out and give yourself space to be able to hear your thoughts. Because it's essential, not just for your body and but for your mind, for your soul, for your spirit, because, like I said, the world is very chaotic. And my second foundational prayer goes right into that, which is clarity. I mean, there's so many different things that we're all trying to juggle and learn and understand. You need to be able to have moments where you are centering yourself, where you are able to hear things clearly. It is essential to be able to look at things from a factual perspective, not always just an emotional perspective. And you can't always do that with everything spinning around you. So I pray that when you take a moment to breathe, when you take yourself a moment to regulate, that you will also allow clarity to come in. Allow yourself to see the things as they are so that you can go forward and make the best decision possible with the information that you have. I think that's really where we all kind of need to understand we have to be really. We have to make the best decisions possible with the information that we have. And along that line, you also have to be able to forgive yourself for the moments that don't work out the way that you thought they should, but that's a whole nother thing. But I always like to make sure I mention that because you know, grace is sufficient, it really is. And then that leads me into my third foundational prayer, which is community. I really want you to be surrounded by people who support you. And I'm not just talking about people who are place fillers or people who are just associates. I really do feel like there becomes a certain point in life where you have to recognize that you only need so many associates. You really need to be focused on building friendships and with in building community with people who are reciprocal. And when I talk about reciprocity, because reciprocity is a big thing for me, it is essential in this life that we have reciprocal relationships. We need to be able to pour into each other. We need to be what we have that's going to help us move forward because there's nobody that's going to come save us. I mean, really, we are what we have been waiting for. And so you want to make sure that you are surrounded by people who love you. And I'm talking about really love you, who really value you as a person and just want to see you win without any ulterior motives. Yes, those people exist. You just have to be discernful, and you also have to be reciprocal, you have to pour in. And sometimes that means stepping outside of your comfort zone so that you can build connection with people who can elevate you, who can open your mind to new things and new opportunities. Don't be afraid of that kind of relationship. Because when you meet somebody and you feel that it's right, because you always know, I always feel like you know, you should go for it. Don't allow yourself to be held back by previous hurts and your own fears because you never know how that person may be a blessing for you. Like I said, we're we're the ones that are gonna save ourselves, so we need to make sure that we have a clique, a crew, a tribe, a community that is solid and we need to be solid in turn. And then wrapping up my foundational prayers, I always like to end on abundance. Um, and actually, I'm kind of wrapping abundance with love because I think that it's so important. And when I talk about abundance, I'm not just talking about it from a financial standpoint. I want you to be financially blessed because you can be a blessing to yourself and to other people, but I want you to also be abundant in your spirit. I don't want you to get so caught up in the trappings of the world that you lose sight of the moments that you create, the memories that you create, the things that will enrich you spiritually and emotionally, because that is always going to be worth more than anything material that you can ever acquire. So value every moment that you get with the people that you love, value the moments that you get with yourself, because even in stillness, those are beautiful moments where you are able to tap into who you are, to love on you, to hug you a little bit. And I hope that you will take advantage of that because that abundance is just going to help your soul be nourished. And in a time, like I said, where it's very hectic, where it's very chaotic, and don't let your soul starve trying to chase material things. Nourish yourself because that's going to help you when the hills and valleys and the seasons come where it's not that easy and you're struggling because you know that you are capable and that you are loved. So those are my foundational prayers for you this week. I hope that they will bless you. I hope you feel my heart because I'm truly believing and praying for you. And so today I'm back and I'm recording on Saturday, August the 29th at 8:57 p.m. I want to thank everyone for their support of episode 257. Uh, the, you know, just standing on it. Con courage has consequences. I let it burn for an extra week because I had gotten a lot of comments about, you know, people finding the courage in making their decisions and understanding that the aftermath is going to be a struggle. And some people were struggling through it. So I wanted to make sure I let it burn a little bit extra because I, again, I think it's important to remember the power that you have when you are making those decisions, but also the fact that it can come back to uh haunt you a little bit. It can kind of come back to make you kind of get off your square and how important it is for you as you are on this journey to making decisions that are going to be beneficial for you and setting up boundaries, that you understand that everybody's not gonna rock with it, and that's okay because you're gonna keep going and you're gonna keep doing what you need to do because you know that this is the right path for you. So I wanted to make sure I gave you some bricks to help you along that path. So I hope that you got a chance to check out that episode. If you haven't, it's out there. I would definitely invite you to check it out. But this week I am back and I want to talk to you guys about something that you know I discovered as I was putting together these episodes about courageous decisions. It's funny because it wasn't what I thought was going to happen. I never thought when I came out with the episode about courageous decisions that it would turn into a whole nother episode talking about the consequences of it. It was just something that God had kind of put into my spirit. And along that line, I recognized something in myself that I definitely wanted to talk about. And I feel like it's becoming like the final chapter of the courageous decision series because one of the things that I've discovered as I was putting this series together is it made me really think about how I make decisions and how as I have learned to make decisions from a more confident place, that I've I've really grown in recognizing that I have the strength to do hard things too. I don't just talk about it, believe me, I am about it. And so I wanted to make sure that I shared that because one of the most powerful things that I have learned as I have been reflecting over these past few weeks is that I'm worth it. I'm worth all of the decisions that I've made on my behalf. I'm worth trusting, and I'm finally learning how to rest in that. Yeah. I'm finally learning how to rest in it. And so when I I thought about it, and especially today, and I'll be honest, full of transparency, I put this episode together today because it just finally hit in my spirit. I've been I've been meditating and praying on it for a while, and I just couldn't figure out where God was trying to lead me because I I have been seeing this this message around me of worthiness. And I I feel blessed, kind of sharing something else very personal. I feel like I am surrounded by a bunch of wonderful people who have finally discovered that they're worthy. We're gonna talk a little bit more about it, but I I I have, and that that that energy of being around people who are discovering that they're worthy helped me unlock, I think, this episode, but at the same time understanding my own worth. And so I really feel blessed that I have an opportunity to kind of share this with you because when I was really putting together courageous decisions, I really just kind of teaching myself, kind of taking it back, just for everybody who may not have had a chance to listen to everything, just to understand how we got to this point. I was really thinking about, I wanted to talk about just having the courage to make the decision. You know, for really this having the courage to make the decision. And for me, making that decision was, you know, I I've been in a whole host of courageous decisions. I I made the courageous decision to focus on my health. And I've gotten really serious about that. And I've got I I made the courageous decision to get married when I was in my 50s for the first time. I've made the courageous decision before to change jobs when I wasn't 100% sure of how this new job was gonna work, but I knew that I was never going to be paid my worth at my old job. And if I stayed there, I was going to be continuously allowing myself to be treated as less than, even though I was giving more. So I'm just saying I got some skin in the game when it talks about making courageous decisions. And then once I made courageous decisions and put it out in the atmosphere and getting feedback from under other people about, you know, how do you navigate it when the people that you love don't always rock with and understand or agree with your decision and learning how to stay rooted anyway, because I've had to do that. And I it's funny because I I was around people too who were going through that same situation, making decisions that were going to change the trajectory of their life. And it wasn't that the people that they loved didn't love them, it's just that they didn't understand where all of a sudden this person was doing a whole 360 with their with their relationship, and they were like, How did we get here? And it was more so about that person choosing themselves versus choosing them or choosing, you know, their projects and stuff. And so that was a discerning moment. And I I I wanted to talk about it because I understand that feeling. Everybody is not going to understand what you're trying to accomplish, and that's okay, but you still have to stay grounded anyway because you know that you want to move forward, and you know that you have to move forward because you deserve this new opportunity, and then that led me right into where I am now, where I have finally recognized in this season that I am ready to own who I am. I'm ready to own my decisions, and you know why I'm ready to own my decisions? Because I recognize finally, in this moment, in this time, that I have always been the woman that I am right now. I just didn't trust myself enough to fully live as her. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't trust that I deserved, like I said earlier, to leave my old job back in the day and because I deserve more money. I knew I should make more money and I trusted them to give me more money because I was producing more output, but I didn't trust that I could go out and try somewhere totally new with no expectations from them in regards to guaranteeing me the salary, asked for what I want and get exactly what I want. I didn't trust me, but I I knew that it was always in me, but I just didn't trust it. You know, I I didn't. I always had the strength, I've always had the skill, I've always had the knowledge. If I think about it in relation to my health, especially, that's like been one of the major things that I have really chosen myself about. I I didn't trust that I could be this girl who goes to the gym all the time, lifts big heavy weights. I didn't trust that I could be this woman that's always been here that I am now. Because, like I told you guys a long time ago, my turning point to deciding to claim my health, to deciding to lose my weight, to really get healthy, was recognizing when I was in the middle of doing my event, the reset, that I'm pouring into women in all these ways, but that is not me. There is another woman inside who is stronger mentally, stronger physically, and that woman wants to carry this to the next level. But I couldn't carry it to the next level as that other woman because she was too heavy. Not just from a physical standpoint, she was too heavy from an emotional standpoint. I was too heavy because I didn't believe in me. But let me tell you something. I have recognized in this moment, in this time, that I have always been her, and I just didn't trust myself to fully live it. And I had to, I had to recognize that it was time for me to let go of my fears, to let go of my doubts so that I could be the best version of myself. And so I recognized that maybe becoming isn't always about transformation, it sometimes is about permission. And in this moment in time, I've given myself permission because I've always been that woman. And then kind of flipping it back to like I told you earlier, I've noticed that there's this season of worthiness. I really do. I have to thank God that I am surrounded by people who are in a season of determining that they are worthy and they're going for what you know. And when I say that I'm worthy, I want to make sure that I say it as something, not like just a normal affirmation, because I mean, we've all said that to ourselves in the mirror in the mirror, I'm worthy. But I realize that I'm worthy because I have done the stock of my decisions. I've taken stock. I've looked back at the decisions that I've made on my behalf, and I have recognized that those decisions were done because I'm worth protecting, I'm worth taking care of, I'm worth establishing boundaries for, I'm worth pursuing joy, I'm worth investing in. I'm worth occasionally disappointing somebody else. I'm worth resting, I'm worth enjoying everything that I have built. And I am worth trusting. And so taking it back, those are the things that I think about when we talk about the season of worthiness, where we talk about being in the space where you have recognized that you have made hard decisions, you have faced the consequences of them. You have to understand that all of that is because you are worth trusting, and you are worth that because being courageous to make the choice required you to have enough self-worth to choose. It also required you standing on enough self-worth to withstand misunderstanding. You had to also make sure that you understand that you are worth enough self-worth to trust that you are the woman that you choose. It's essential. So that's why I said it's if we think about it right now in this season of worthiness, we have to recognize. I had to recognize, I have to give praise and honor to God for finally being able to understand that I'm truly worth it. I'm worth trusting, and understand that it's not a surface-level thought. It is because my works have proven to myself that I am worthy. And well, like I said, I I've been I've been kind of in this season for a minute. And if I think about it, you know, I've done a lot of work. I've talked about the work a lot. You guys know, you know, I've been in therapy for several years, and I've done a lot of healing and growth work. I've spent countless hours examining myself. I am my harshest critic. I always say that to other people. I've asked myself the hard questions, I've learned, I've healed, I've gotten tools, and I still go to therapy. So I don't want to make sure I kind of preface that that this is not what that is. I am truly still in therapy, but my relationship with it has evolved because I'm not always looking at this season. I'm not in a season where I'm looking or going because something is broken or wrong. I'm going more so because I'm just proactively creating a space where I can maintain my emotional health because that matters to me. Because I have recognized that I'm in that season where I want to look at things from a more holistic standpoint, not always trying to find something. And so I want to make sure that I say that because I think a lot of us need to think about you don't always have to be in a state of healing. And I'm gonna say that again. You don't always have to be in a state of healing. I I've learned this, and it's funny, one of my favorite thought leaders of all times, uh, Alex L, she posted this a few years back that you know, she's not in a season of healing right now. And that's what she primarily focuses on. Like, she is, my goodness, if you have never checked out Alex's L Alex L's work, you must, she has been essential. As a part of my journey. But one of the things that she said a few years ago was she's not in a she's not always looking for to heal. And and I didn't understand it back then. I'm just gonna be really real, probably because I was in a season of healing. That's probably why. But now I think I understand why because I'm not in that state of healing. And when I say that I'm not in a state of healing, I just want to make sure I preface that by making sure that you understand that I finally understand what it means to recognize that healing doesn't always require us to constantly search ourselves for another wound. I I I'm not I'm not in the business of trying to find any more wounds right now. Because I think at some point we should recognize that all the books, all the therapy, all the healing, everything that we've done should produce something. I'm just I'm just keeping it honest. Because if it's not producing peace, wisdom, discernment, boundaries, resilience, self-trust, and joy, then what is the goal of the work? Because it's not to become dependent on doing the work. Eventually, some of the work has to become a part of you. And you have to be record ready and you have to be ready to use it. And it really does. I know it probably sounds extremely blunt and straightforward, but it really does have to be that way. Because if not, then you are in a continuous cycle of trying to find wounds to heal versus trying to find the strength to apply. And that's going to keep you stuck versus allowing you to move forward. And not every season of your life should hopefully require that. So I want you to consider that. Think about yourself. You know, where are you? But for me, where I am right now, I'm in the using phase. And I've recognized one other big thing while I'm in this using phase that I definitely want to talk about because, you know, taking these chances, taking these courageous decisions, understanding that everybody's not going to like it, taking this step of recognizing that you're finally in your power, where you trust yourself, where you own yourself. You know, for me, I had to stop waiting for the shoe to drop. I really did. I I recognize that I have stopped doing that. I don't spend a lot of time anymore waiting for things to go wrong. And when I say that, I think I've been in this season for quite some time. Thank God. But I don't think I really recognized it. And you know what? Let me not. I'm I was just like, I'm checking myself as I'm talking to you guys about it. Because I think I've been in this season for a minute where I'm not waiting for the shoe to drop. But if I think about it, I still have sometimes a little bit of remnant of it, but I'm not as bad as I used to be. Personally, I was that type of person where I would always go into the situation room or the war room in my mind and try to predict when something was going to go wrong, when I made a new choice, when I made a change. And then that was really totally rooted in my lack of trust in me. But now that I have recognized that I don't need to do that, that I don't have to wait for the shoe to drop, I have recognized that I can give myself a break. And I can give myself a break because I realize that if the shoe drops, I'm equipped with the skills to pick it back up and keep going. I really and I'm gonna say that again, it's just really honest. And maybe this will hopefully help you, help you. If you always one of those people who's waiting for the shoe to drop, I think you need to maybe spin that and say that if the shoe does happen to drop, because I've realized that that could happen, I'm equipped with the skills to pick it back up and keep going. Because remember, you have been doing all this healing, all this learning, all this growth. You've been claiming your peace, you've been doing all of that. So you have something that you haven't given yourself credit for. You got a little bit of resilience, you know. You have to understand that it's never going to be perfect. Like, peace isn't becoming it, isn't believing that nothing is gonna ever happen. Like there's always going to happen. Life is going to happen. But I think it's also understanding that you don't have to spend today preparing emotionally for something that hasn't even happened yet. And a lot of us are spending entirely too much time trying to do that. And so that's where it's time to just go out and do what you need to do. Let's go live, let's focus on living today. And what happens, happens. And you'll be equipped to handle it because you know how, because you've been doing the work, you've been prioritizing that. So now it's time to apply it. You're a good student. You got this, go apply. And for me, I had to recognize that I'm ready to apply. Because if I were to sit and look at the context of my life right now, I can see that the seeds around me are growing and they're producing fruit. I've I'm healthier than I've ever been in my life. I'm married. I I never thought that I would get married. I didn't, I'll be honest. I wasn't looking for it like that. I wanted to. I thought that the other person, I thought I would marry someone else eventually, but I because I had no visions of my husband when he came in. Like I just I didn't know. I thought he was out living his life, doing his thing happy. But who would know that God will bring us back together at this appointed time in this season of our lives? And I'm so grateful because I couldn't imagine my life without him. And if I think about it, in our marriage, I have learned that I am resilient, that I can handle every anything that's thrown at me, that his love gives me peace. And with my knowledge of self, there's nothing that we can't face together. And that's a beautiful feeling because I've recognized that through the healing, through the learning, through the growing, I'm I'm I'm stronger, I'm more discerning, and I'm not afraid of being able to express myself. And I don't know if that's maybe because I'm 50, whatever. You know, they always say when we're 50, we're just fresh out. Boy, we don't we don't have a lot of time for over-explaining. We're just trying to keep it pushing. And that could definitely be a cause. I'm not gonna lie. Perimenopause will make you out here stop trying to over-explain to folks. But I think what it is, is that I have been consistent to myself, and that's why I would challenge you too to be consistent to yourself. Like I said, we've been doing all this healing, preserving our peace, doing all these things. Don't you think that that has borne fruit? And look at how it's come up in your life and do an inventory of it, you know. Like I said, recognize that because you have, you know, become more comfortable. Or I know I've become more comfortable and being misunderstood. That's not my priority anymore. That's actually how I protect my peace. I don't mind being misunderstood. If it because if I'm not gonna argue with you, I'm not going back and forth with you, I'm not trying to make you like me. You will understand me and like me based upon how I come across, hopefully. And if not, I understand I'm cool. I'm not concerned about that because I have recognized that the work that I have done is bearing fruit and I'm at peace. And so, what I'm saying to you is don't immediately inspect every piece of of your life looking for what's wrong with it all the time. Because you have to trust the baby. Some of that stuff, some of that work, it's actually worked. And enjoy the fruit. Like, I'll be honest, from a health perspective, I am enjoying being healthy. I have gotten into a rhythm that I could never have imagined that I would ever be at. And I'm so grateful for it. And so I'm just sitting in it. I'll be honest, I'm sitting in it, I'm owning it, and I am just gonna focus on keep tending my garden, keep tending my tree, tend your garden, tend your tree, stop trying to find things and go live. Live in the moment, do the work, but live and enjoy the moments. And I want to make sure that, you know, I do take a moment to talk about this because I feel like one of the things that sometimes people see or think when they start to see you, start to own who you are, is that you might be a little arrogant. And I want to make sure that I always give praise and reverence to where the source of my growth is coming from. And I cannot tell you how many times that I have spent time praying to God about who I want to be, who I call, who I was called to be, asking God for wisdom and making decisions based upon that wisdom, asking for strength and doing things that are difficult, and asking for direction and going forward, because I've recognized that gratitude and self-recognition can exist in the same space, in the same sentence. I mean, God has been incredibly good to me, and I'm proud of how I've stewarded what He's given to me. And that's one of the things that I even use when I'm I'm working out. I think about the fact that God created this beautiful vessel that is me. Who am I to treat this vessel like it's nothing? I go to work out, I take care of it now because I value the gift that God has given me. I know that I can't be an inspiration for other people, I can't be a rock for my family, I can't be the a good wife, I can't be a good friend or sister or or associate or anything if I'm not taking care of me. And so, what I would want you to start and think about is that, you know, you have to understand that what God could do through us, what could God do through us if we just stop spending so much energy fighting ourselves? That's really what this is. I know for me, that has been like a really big thing. And I think about that, you know, as I have watched people live boldly and seen people pass away, especially lately. I mean, recently, you know, with the passing of Dolly Parton. I have to admit, Dolly Parton is a true personification of owning yourself. Like that woman has always been herself. And I just think about all the things that she has been able to accomplish, all the good that she has done in this world and to be herself. And she didn't care what people said about her, but she knew her heart. She knew the gift that God had given her. And she utilized her gifting to do great things. That's why I thought, and I and I've been thinking about it. It's like, what could God do through us if we stop spending so much energy fighting ourselves? So for me, I don't want to fight myself anymore. I want to let my gift shine. I want to be who God called me truly to be. And so that means I have to, I gotta trust it. I gotta own it. I gotta trust who I am, I have to own who I am, and I'm ready. Are you ready? Are you ready to trust who you are? Are you ready to do the things that God has put inside of you because you finally trust yourself? It's time. It's time. And I want you to think about something else too. Because now we're talking about trusting ourselves, we're talking about owning it, we're talking about how God could do what God could do through us if we stop spending so much energy fighting ourselves and just let it be. Just understand that just because you own it doesn't mean that you've arrived. It doesn't mean that you know everything, it doesn't mean that you'll never need therapy again. It doesn't mean that you will not make another bad decision, Lord help me. You know, I mean, you can still own yourself and learn and still apologize when you make mistakes. You can still change your mind, you can still ask for help, you can still go to therapy and discover another place that needs attention. And you will still grow in that. Because just because you owned it doesn't mean that you're finished. I mean, it to me, I think we all need to understand, and I know for myself, I have truly come into this understanding that as long as I'm alive, there will always be work to do. And I'm good with that. I'm cool with it because I love being a student of life, student of the game. I want to continue to grow and evolve and get better. And then and it doesn't mean, like I said, I'm not gonna have issues, but I'm still going to be able to navigate through those things because I recognize that wherever areas I need to grow, that's just something that's going to need my attention. And I'm gonna grow. And I'm going to look at life from a perspective of not constantly asking what's wrong with me, but asking myself, trusting, I trust, saying that I trust myself enough to handle what comes next. Because, like I told you guys, I'm prepared for that. I don't wait for the shoe to drop anymore. If the shoe drops, I will pick that thing up and keep going because I know that I've done enough work, I have enough awareness of who I am that I can handle it. And so I'm saying this to say to you because I really want you to really allow it to resonate in your spirit, that you are equipped to handle whatever will come next. You truly, truly have to get comfortable with that. Instead of always focusing on what's wrong, I really want you to trust that you can handle what comes next because eventually that self-awareness has to become self-trust. And if you haven't heard that throughout the course of this conversation, I want to make sure that I clearly state that to you that finding your worth, finding your next level, finding the strength to be consistent, the strength to make good decisions, the strength to deal with the consequences, all of that is going to come down to you trusting you. You have to trust that you are equipped to handle this and that you are not broken, that you are healing, and that not every day is going to require healing, that every season, no matter the high or the low, you are equipped to handle it and you will be able to navigate through. Because I really want you to take this time to live. I really do. Because really, this is it. This is where we need to tie this up in a nice bow. You made the hard decision. You learned to stand on it when it had consequences, and now it's time to own it. Stop bracing yourself like you're you're constantly ducking and dodging. Stop trying to fix everything, stop looking for the next problem, and stop assuming peace has to have an expiration date. Stop treating happiness like it's something suspicious. That's a big one. Many of us are skeptical. It's okay to be naturally skeptical, but don't be suspicious of a good thing. You are worthy of good things. And stop moving the finish line every time you get close enough to celebrate yourself. Because again, you're always constantly looking for things that could be better, that could be differently. There always could be something that's better or different, but it doesn't matter because you have the tools, the wisdom, the experience, and the discernment to make it through. And on top of that, you are also resilient, you have faith, and you have to trust you. Trust yourself, trust God, trust that all the work that you have done is enough and go live and enjoy it. Because, my love, where is your consistency producing fruit? You have healed that you're still treating what you've healed, you're still treating like an open wound. What part of yourself have you been trying to fix that you might actually need to accept? Are you waiting for the other shoe to drop instead of enjoying what's good today? And what would your life look like if you truly believed you were worth trusting? And finally, I guess what are you finally ready to own? Because no offense, you've made the decision, you stood on it, now own it, walk in it, rest in it, and enjoy the fruit. Because God has given something to you that He is trusting you to grow, and you don't have to spend your life becoming something you already were called to be. That's the work, that's life, that's the well-done life. So I cannot wait to see you own it. I will be stepping into my own era. I hope you will just join me. And that is this week's episode. I really hope that the series of courageous decisions has given you something to think about. And if you are still struggling with it, please don't hesitate to reach out. I would love to be able to pour into you. I will pray for you. I will talk to you. I will do whatever is necessary to support you because I want you to own this. I want you to recognize that you're worthy. This season of worthiness that I know that I am surrounded in is not just for me and my people. I know that it is for you too. And so I want you to open your eyes to the worthiness that is around you, where you see people choosing themselves and going out and putting forth the works to live their life on the best way possible and allow that energy to magnify in you because you are worthy too. And definitely, like I said, if you need some support, reach out. I'm just an email away. You can email me at theweldonelife at gmail.com or at the at hello at the welldone life.com as well. I have two. You also can reach out to me on social media at the Well Done Life Podcast on Instagram or the notorious PLDB on Instagram as well. Just shoot me a message. I'm on threads too, as those same handles. And occasionally I do look at the book. So you can find me as Pamela Davis Brown there as well. And so I just again want to thank you all for your support. I am truly believing great things for us going into this next season, and we are preparing for something new. So I'm putting some foundational things together. I've been praying and meditating about that. I can't wait to come back and talk to you guys about it. I will be back next week with another episode. And, you know, let me know what you think about owning it. I hope you own it and just do beautiful things. So enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care of yourselves and each other, and I will talk to you soon. Bye bye.
