Skyetime
The Isle of Skye is one of the jewels in the crown of Scottish Tourism. The Skyetime Podcast aims to celebrate Skye, the amazing array of visitor-facing businesses, the culture, history, geography and people of the island. It will demonstrate why Skye should be on everyone's 'bucket list' and provide ideas to help visitors experience more of what the island has to offer. Skyetime is hosted by Simon Cousins, a broadcaster with over thirty years experience who lives on Skye and works with local organisations to promote the island and individual businesses. Skyetime (the brand) is an initiative of SkyeConnect - the Destination Management Organisation for Skye and neighbouring areas.

Episode 11
In the latest edition of the Skyetime Podcast, Simon Cousins talks to Stine Selmer Andersen of Visit Greenland. As the tourism industry plans for a potential re-opening on the 15th of July, Simon examines how Skye and other remote locations could learn from the development of the visitor experience on the world's biggest island. Greenland is over 1300 times the size of Skye but there are many similarities. Greenland has actively promoted adventure and environmental tourism. With limited international travel to Greenland this year, Visit Greenland has had to refocus its marketing effort on the domestic market with some innovative approaches to encouraging islanders to holiday at home.
