The turn of a New Year is a strange mix of reflection and goal-setting that can send us in a spiral of regret over our past and anxiety toward the future. Isaiah speaks into this mixed state with a call to listen and look—not inward, but back to the Lord's faithfulness. Through Isaiah, the Lord reminds us that our righteousness and salvation do not rest on our resolve, but on his enduring grace that has never failed his people. God bless your New Year!!
