This Ash Wednesday we hear God name our sin honestly—our guilt is real, and we cannot fix it ourselves. But when no one could stand up for us, the Lord put on righteousness and came to fight for his people. In Isaiah 59 we see this promise fulfilled: the Redeemer comes for sinners, bringing forgiveness, freedom, and new life.
