Welcome to US Phenomenon, where possibilities are endless. Put down those same old headlines. It's time to expand your mind and question what if? From paranormal activity to UFOs, bigfoot sightings and unsolved mysteries, this is US Phenomenon?

Speaker 2:

From the Pacific Northwest in the shadow of the 1962 World's Fair, the Space Needle. Good evening, good morning, good afternoon. Wherever you are on God's green earth, I am your host, mario Magana. Happy Independence Day weekend. Wow, can you believe we made it already? We're halfway through the year already of 2025. It's hard to believe that we're already that fast. I mean, I feel like the older you get, the faster it seems to go. But I hope you're enjoying this time with your friends and family.

Speaker 2:

If you're out, maybe you did a barbecue yesterday for the 4th of July, or for the 4th of July you did barbecues. Maybe you were with friends and family blowing off some fireworks. Or maybe you're out camping doing some s'mores. If you're out camping doing some s'mores, if you're listening to us on one of our radio affiliates, enjoying uh some, uh some transistor radio and listening to uh the radio show this evening tonight we're going to get in to what I like to call the independence day, the Independence Day haunted story. So gather around. If maybe you're out doing a campfire and doing s'mores One of my favorite go-to camping items when I'm camping and I'm not sure if you're like this, but man, I really get into it Got the s'mores.

Speaker 2:

I got the hat. I mean I just love to cook for everyone that's camping. You know, if it's in the morning, get up early, make the coffee and typically just a nice, just a nice cup of black coffee in the morning and then at night have a, a nice cold drink, a refreshing beverage, oh man, and just smell like campfire, and just really enjoy your time with your friends and family. I mean, there's so much going on this weekend. If you're in the, the pacific northwest, you know different firework shows that have happened over the weekend from uh you know, seafair um, that had happened.

Speaker 2:

Also. There's a bunch of parades that have been going on over the weekend. So maybe you're in west seattle, you're doing the the parade. Or in kirkland, issaquah those communities, uh, have been doing stuff. Maybe you're doing the the parade, or in kirkland, issaquah those communities, uh, have been doing stuff. Maybe you're just barbecuing and doing picnics this weekend in your backyard grilling some dogs. I mean, isn't this the time of year where I think we all becoming novice fan of the hot dog eating contest by Nathan's and man, I'll tell you I just, I mean, I'm always fully disgusted by it, but I'm so intrigued by it I'm sure most of you are as well. I mean tons of stuff. I mean there's been American. There've been pub crawls, things that are going on in Pioneer Square Pioneer Square Fest, if you're hanging out. Congratulations to all those who are part of the Seattle Center naturalization ceremony as well. So congratulations to you. That includes my dad, who celebrates his anniversary as well.

Speaker 2:

Tons of concerts that have been going on. Seattle Mariners are still playing this weekend. Uh, tons of stuff going on. Uh, tons of friends and family stuff too. If you're looking to get into some of that, you know, the farmers markets, things of that nature. If you're staying local and just doing, maybe, a quick staycation at home with you know, your loved ones, um, yeah, it's quite, quite interesting, haven't had a chance to uh do any camping this year. We're um heading out of town uh for, ah, yeah, we're heading out of town for uh to go uh check out some colleges for Sophia. So we're going to do that this coming up week. But man, it's just, this summer has flown by and I just, it just blows my mind, and just to start thinking that we have to start getting ready for Sophia to go to college, it's. I'm sure there are tons of parents out there that are like, oh yeah, me too. So if you can you relate, yeah, please let me know.

Speaker 2:

So earlier we were talking about haunted things and before we get into that we were going to have, uh, mark jacobson. We couldn't make the the timing correct, but we'll get back to it. Um, I wanted to touch base with everything that's been going on, um and not so much on the political spectrum, and we'll get back into what we talked about previously last week with the diddy trial and how michael parker and I um, totally didn't see that one coming. So if you've been following the diddy trial, two of the charges the racketeering uh, were, uh, not guilty, but to conspire he also did have a guilty charge. Two guilty charges in regards to his case and when you look at it, he was not guilty on count one racketeering and conspiring. Count two sex trafficking by force, fraud or collusion not guilty. Count three transportation to engage in prostitution guilty. Count two sex trafficking to force, fraud or collusion not guilty. And then count five transportation to engage in prostitution guilty. So not guilty and then guilty. So, from what I hear, we'll get into this with either a legal expert after the holidays, um, very interesting in that case. And it really goes back to, uh, you know, back to some, you know things that I'm not that pervy to. In regards to how you know, things may have been portrayed, so we'll get into that with a legal expert, uh, in a future show.

Speaker 2:

But if you do have a show idea, send me. Send me an idea. Or if you would like us to broadcast or do the radio show from your establishment, you can, we can do that. How fun would that be. We've done it before. Uh, out in a brewery in buckley, sold it out, uh, standing room only, and it was fantastic. It was very much a q a situation. We did the show there. People were able to buy stuff and just hang out and uh be able to do a show and be able to be with others that do enjoy the Sasquatch or the haunted stories.

Speaker 2:

So if you think we should be somewhere, let me know. Send me an email or text. We'd love to come out to your establishment. So yeah, and we need to get down to our other affiliates KOSW, kapy and obviously around KVI as well. So yeah, so happy holidays. Happy Independence Day weekend, man. This is the time where you get the dogs out, the burgers, the baked beans, the potato salad but I love my potato salad. The potatoes can be like marinated in the pickle juice kind of my thing. So, um, yeah, let us know if you have a story or um how we might be able to assist you in regards to some of that.

Speaker 2:

Now we know that there are haunted places around the pacific northwest and, um, it's interesting when we talk about this. I didn't know about this, but there's a haunted rooftop story that happens every 4th of July in Seattle during the fireworks show in downtown Seattle. A guest reportedly saw an elderly woman watching the crowd from a shadowy corner. When approached she vanished. Later the host discovered the building once housed a widow who died alone on Independence Day in the 40s. Her spirit is said to excuse me, return each year to watch the celebration. That's nice that she returns and doesn't haunt, but she's there to enjoy the fireworks show and we know that some places in Seattle are very, very, very haunted.

Speaker 2:

So thank you for sharing that story with us, because when you think about it, you know the whole Pike Place market has tons of paranormal activity. Kells Irish Bar very haunted because of the Butterworth Mortuary there Just, and then above the mortuary on First Avenue on the First Avenue side, has been very, very haunted with paranormal activity there that businesses can't seem to stay in business because it's so haunted because of the paranormal activity that is and the energy that is in that existed space. So I find that to be very intriguing and I haven't had the opportunity to venture into that space. But I have spent many of times in Kel's Irish Bar and it is very strange to think, while you're having a cold Irish beer and watching a band play, to think that yeah, that's where they were cremating bodies or doing their thing to prep the bodies for their you know their final resting spot. Yeah, now for those who are fans of like, like different haunted places West Seattle is very haunted there's this place called the Bambo Room.

Speaker 2:

Now, if you're not familiar with this place, it's a theme bar that is a pirated theme bar and the story and the legend story goes that there's someone that haunts the restroom. Now I've had firsthand experience where you walk into the restroom and the water's still running. I'm like who is the jerk that left the water running? And it's strange because you turn it off and then it turns back on. I don't know like if it's a miss, if it's a sensor thing or whatever, but hey, who knows?

Speaker 2:

But I someone, uh, that a co-worker shared with me. You're like, hey, did you know about this haunted place? Do you know about, uh, francis? Um, she also haunts West. I mean, there's so many of these different haunted stories that people come up to tell and share with me, but I didn't know that these places, like I didn't know that West Seattle had so many haunted places.

Speaker 2:

And you start to look at the history of West Seattle, of it being its own thriving city outside of Seattle, before Seattle swallowed it up or annexed it into seattle proper, other than it's they were. They were thriving as a, as a community, as a city. It wasn't until they needed the utility services that uh, seattle said, hey, we're going to go ahead and make you part of the city. So, um, yeah, I just so much going on, but, uh, you know watching the headline news and things of that nature as we get back into these haunted stories. But I wanted to take a second to talk about this because we'll talk about this with um mark jacobson, who's going to join us soon again I don't care if you're.

Speaker 2:

I guess this goes back to the politics piece. I guess you don't have to be a republican, you don't need to be a democrat, you don't need to be an independent libertarian to see what's going on. It is very interesting to me in these times. If you haven't had an opportunity to read the book Behold the Pale Horse or listen to the, you know, listen to the audio book, this would be a perfect time to read it. I think you would be quite. It would enhance your awareness of what is going on right now. And um, to see that they put a detention center now calling it, uh, alligator alcatraz, interesting, it makes me tilt my head. And um, this book. It talks about the different types of camps, what the government is going to do with the secret society. So if you're into that type of thing, where you're, are we close to that? I mean, this book has always had my awareness at a level always up 9-11, after reading this, I read this book prior to 9-11. It had me quite aware. Just, it makes you things that make you go.

Speaker 2:

Hmm, and I'm not saying that everything in this book is gospel, but if William Cooper who wrote Behold the Pale Horse was alive. I'm pretty sure he would be sounding the alarm right now. I'm not sure that he definitely would be sounding the alarm. He would be. He would be saying what is this? What is going on? Are you, are we paying attention to what is going on? So you know Not to be political, just you know. Don't be sheep, be lion Be. You know Independent. Be political, just you know. Don't be sheep, be lion Be. You know independent, be free thinkers. As always, it's free to be a free thinker. So, yeah, as we continue talking about the holiday weekend, it is one of my favorites. Now.

Speaker 2:

My go-to item typically is a dog. You know, some mustard pickled dill relish, some either grilled onions, If I have cream cheese for like a quick Seattle dog, I have seen the bacon-wrapped hot dogs out there that have been making a huge viral push. I'm not so much into that. Or the hot Cheetos as well. I've seen that as well. If I was going to do a hot Cheetos combo, I would say I would do the cream cheese, then the fire red hot Cheetos on top of the cream cheese, then the dog in the middle. If it was wrapped in bacon, yeah, that's fine as well. Then I could put the rest of my accoutrement on what's your favorite hot dog? Let me know. Send me a text 775-990-5151. Adam sends his text in from Yelm.

Speaker 2:

Each year they do a Independence Day party and they do a hot dog eating contest. Typically, the max hot dogs are eating is 12. Alright, that's awesome. I'm glad you guys do that. That's a fun. Thinking about it makes my stomach just hurt is 12. All right, that's awesome. I'm glad you guys do that. That's a fun. Oh man, thinking about it makes my stomach just hurt. That is quite impressive. Congratulations to you guys for doing that. It says here that they give out a prize, and they give out a prize and a hat. So someone gets to wear their hot dog eating contest hat. So that's cool. That's cool. Uh, other texts coming in as well.

Speaker 2:

Uh, we like to do ambrosia salad. Um, we also like to do a cake with like a cool whip topping and then put like fresh berries, like blueberries and raspberries for the stars and stripes. Oh, that's awesome. That's fun. I definitely love a, a fresh, light cake as well. I'm I kind of like to eat a lot. Um, yeah, I definitely love the holiday. Like. These types of holidays are fun, and I also like to make my own dips as well too. You know, like the onion dip, take the soup mix and then take some sour cream and just pour the packet in there and have at it.

Speaker 2:

Um, some other things we've done in the past is just go to the beach, grab some fresh shellfish. I don't know about this time of year right now. I don't believe that that's a great idea to be going to the beach to be grabbing that. Look for red tides. If you're going to be doing that, make sure you check the gaming websites in regards to what's appropriate and what's not appropriate to be eating at this time of year. In regards to grabbing it off the beach, I'm sure there are plenty of places, including the market. Uh, dino down at plight place. If you're looking for fresh shellfish, uh, you can get it down there as well, and if you're out of town, you can always order it. Um, you know you're down at ocean shores tons of places around that you can get it. So hello to all my friends down in ocean shores. Definitely miss you guys. Can't wait to see you soon. Uh, k-a-p-y, we definitely. I definitely was awesome to watch your guys's live stream on facebook. Love that as well.

Speaker 2:

Um, you know, what's still funny to me is how haunted like we were just talking about going back to haunted stories how haunted Seattle really is and how haunted other places are, like Duval and some of the haunted stories about the portal, and I still find that one to be very interesting and intriguing the portal at Snoqualmie by the falls. I had no idea that this thing even existed. I remember us doing a show way long ago about this portal in Snoqualmie and that the motels in North Bend are very haunted. Now the hotels near in North Bend and then there's a couple bars that are also very haunted in North Bend and I like that kind of thing. If you're doing a staycation and maybe you're out camping near these sites. What haunted stories do you like to share? Because some that I like to tell are like very, very interesting, like the Mystic Forest Trap, the Pacific Northwest, five teams camped in a clear known.

Speaker 2:

Five teams camped in a clear known. My favorite one is the misty fog, the misty forest trap in the Pacific Northwest. Five teams camped in a clear, known for strange fogs.

Speaker 2:

Around 3 am a ghostly mist crept in swallowing. Two tents Scream echoes, then silence. The others fled and when the rangers arrived the tents were empty. No trace of the missing campers. Legend says the mist returns every July, hungry for new souls. Woo, where's this place at in the Pacific Northwest? Because I am not going camping there. You know what I'm saying. Can you imagine if that was you? You're out there camping. Woo, wee, no, thank you, no, thank you, no, thank you. Here's one if you ever go down to the Oregon coast, near the final duet, near the Oregon coast inn. A traveling pianist stopped at the seaside inn and awoke to a moonlight serenade. Drifting from the conservatory she found a man in a vintage tuxedo playing alone. He said I've been waiting for you.

Speaker 2:

He said I've been waiting for you. She joined him and they played. Both faded into the air. Her car remains outside, but she was never seen again. Holy smokes. Now I wonder who she was. Was she a family member of this individual? Maybe it was his wife who knows?

Speaker 2:

These are the kind of stories that get me every time. How haunted they are. The ghostly feeling have you ever had that? When you're in a place and then all of a sudden you feel like this chill come on you, or like you feel like this cold wind touching your body. Oh, I'm telling you, I've only had it once or twice and typically I I always brush it off as like oh yeah, whatever, just because I want to stay super macho you know what I mean like I don't want to be like spooked out, but it's very hard Because it happens. You still. You know, you still get spooked. If you want to share your haunted stories, send them in 775-990-5151. All right, let's go to the text line at 775-990-5151.

Speaker 2:

Lindsay sends us a text and says she wanted to share her story. A woman named Lindsay received a text message of an unknown number. Lizzie, I see you. She was alone, blinds drawn and no one could possibly see her the message. The message escalated. I'm standing right next to you. She called the number and it wasn't in service. The texter even referenced her new hair color when she hadn't posted online. Police found no one and the texts stopped, but she still wonders if the entity is watching. Ooh, that is creepy. That is very creepy, and if that was someone pranking someone, they definitely did a really good job. But she was not able to respond to the text message. Very interesting we got a text message from another that wanted to share his story.

Speaker 2:

So campers near crater lake reported receiving texts from a number of labeled unknowns saying don't go to the cabin. Don't go in the cabin is what it says. They don't. They hadn't told anyone about the cabin nearby. One camper replied and the response was you're already inside. The cabin was locked and empty, but their phone kept buzzing with warnings until they left the area. Oh, so scary. Let's continue with text messages that are pouring in right now. Text coming in uh, fireworks, freak 88. Hey, mario. Uh, love, the show had to share this.

Speaker 2:

Back in 2012, I was watching a fireworks from my grandma's porch in spokane and I saw this little boy standing in the yard staring up. I thought he was a neighbor kid, the neighbor's kid, but when I asked my grandma she said the boy died in a firework accident in the 80s. Right there, I swear. He looked straight at me and smiled before vanishing Ooh-wee, oh man, I got chills right now just thinking about that. Man. Thanks for sharing that text message and sharing that story with us. Man, don't you got chills? If you're like hanging out camping right now hearing these stories, these are great, giving you a little bit of the goosebumps. Great stories for the picturesque campfire that you have going on right now.

Speaker 2:

Another text comes called Ghost in Tacoma, yo Mario, weirdest fourth ever. We were camping near Mount Rainier and got a group of texts from a number none of us recognized. It said don't light the fuse. We laughed it off and lit the fireworks anyways. One exploded sideways and hit our cooler. Later the number vanished from our phones. Creepy part. The message timestamp was three minutes before we brought. We even bought the fireworks.

Speaker 2:

Interesting, those kinds of things really start to creep me out when you talk about the paranormal activity things that are. I mean, we think about this. I was at a 4th of July party uh, block party years ago in Bonnie Lake near the Tahali uh development and um, you know sharing stories about you know the show. And this kid comes up to me and says, hey, you're not going to believe my story. And he's like, can I share it with you? And I was like, yeah, he's like, can I share it with you? And I was like, yeah, he's like, before they built all the houses out there into holly he is, his house where his parents and him lived was like one of the first houses in the development and as a kid he he would go out and play, he would play in the woods and, um, he would hear the wind and things of that nature.

Speaker 2:

But what is interesting is that there were times where he said he got very silent, like the wind would stop and like you could almost hear a pin drop. And there was one time he was coming home from playing in the woods and he saw what he said was an indigenous man on a horse riding through, looked at him and left and what's interesting is he said nothing to nobody because he was afraid that. You know, they were like, oh, you're crazy. So later on, weeks later, he said that he was, there were paranormal activity at the house that they live in. And so he finally told his parents about what he saw in the woods and his parents were like, oh, that's interesting. They thought he was the one banging on the doors.

Speaker 2:

But it was really not him. It was some type of entity, and I've done some research. I'm not sure if there was, you know, if there, if there's burial sites there, um, you know, native american burial sites up there in bonnie lake to holly neighborhood. Um, I that I don't know. I didn't see anything in regards to rec records of that type. So, um, yeah, continue to send your text messages in, uh, 775-990-5151. Let's continue going to the text line, because this is fun. What we got them here. Why not read them right Red, white and boom.

Speaker 2:

Hey Mario, I was at a party in Portland last year and around midnight I got a text from my ex who passed away two years ago. It just said meet me by the river. I freaked out, check the number. It was disconnected. I went to the river anyways, no one was there, but I found a single sparkler burning in the sand and I didn't even light it. Red, white Boob, thank you for sending in your text message.

Speaker 2:

I haven't been to Portland in a while I'm not sure I'll be going back anytime soon, the city that stays weird, as they like to say. Yeah, usually this is the time of year where I typically don't head down to Portland. There's so much other things to do. But, wow, interesting Now. You said that the number was disconnected, so clearly you called it, but you still found a sparkler down there. Wow, that's man. That's got to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up to think that your ex had passed away and, who knows, maybe she was sending you a little hello from a distance. From a distance.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, let's get into the haunted port. Know, let's get into, uh, the haunted port. Now, for those that have been to port, like gamble bay, handsville area, it's haunted there, very haunted. I'm quite familiar. Uh, port gamble was a logging town. They they had the port there where they were. Uh, they had had the sawmill there so they were doing a lot of refining of the wood. I had spent many weekends in Gamble Bay playing as a kid. There was a portion of the floating bridge that had been there for years making kind of a natural reef in the area, making kind of a natural reef in the area.

Speaker 2:

Now, for those that don't know, the Walker Ames house is very haunted and on 1 4th of July a paranormal team claims to hear children laughing and running around upstairs. Though the house is always locked, they hear these voices and kids playing. I haven't had that experience and, doing some research, I know there are plenty of experiences Like, if you're looking for something to do, they do haunted tours in Gamble Bay and over there at the Walker walker ames house. So definitely check that out if that's something that you're into. I, yeah, I've gone there, um, but I haven't had any of those experiences where you know where people have had that and there's a lot of paranormal activity there.

Speaker 2:

It's just like when you head down to different places, um, like in seattle or down in oregon, um, I always go back to like el bistro and the market because of the historical pieces during, uh, the 1900s, during the spanish uh flu, how many people were working in one of the oldest uh industries, the sex uh working, uh sex workers, which is, you know, one of the longest working industries out there. From you know, gold mining and whatnot oldest professions, uh, not legal by any means, but, um, when you go to like an Listro, if you've not been to the Pike Place Market. It's going down the alley before you get to the gum wall. There on the left-hand side the place is haunted. Great food but very haunted.

Speaker 2:

I just love that. You know that experience that you get down there. I mean the history is so rich of haunted spook stories that you just you gotta love it, you gotta embrace it. I mean the whole city with all these cemeteries that were moved, like denny park. If you go to denny park it's haunted there. There that used to be a used to be an old cemetery at denny park I mean all the bodies have been removed, but still, you know, I mean it's, it's crazy.

Speaker 2:

Now let's go to uh. Back to some of the haunted uh stories of uh elliott bay, the ghost ship of elliott bay, seattle, washington. Each summer some waterfront visitors claim to see a phantom ship drifting silently across Elia Bay. Now, I haven't had that, I haven't seen that. Legends say it appears near the 4th of July and foretells doom. But there's also a belevitant spirit named Patty, a ghostly fisherman who comforts those in despair, especially around the holiday when emotions run high. I don't know that. I've ever heard this story about the ghost ship of Elliot Bay and I mean it's, I mean, we're right in the prime of it too. That's awesome. Thank you for sharing that story. I did not know about that one. I don't. Yeah, I might have to, after the show, go outside and take a journey over to elliott bay like late, like 1 am, to see if I see anything out there. Yeah, I've not seen that. All right, we're to go back to the text line.

Speaker 2:

Texter says 4th of the 4th July, 4th Watchers. Mario, this happened in 2005. My cousin and I were texting during the fireworks in Bellingham. She sent me a picture of the sky, but there was a face in the smoke. I zoomed in and it looked like my uncle, who died in a car crash on the 4th of July years before we both got chills. Her phone crashed right after. She swears it never saved the photo. Huh, if you have that photo, please send it to me on text message. I'd love to see that and post it on the website. Well, you have the phone number. If you have it, send it. If you don't, oh well, man, that's awesome.

Speaker 2:

So do you have haunted stories? I mean, what's your favorite thing to do, what's your favorite thing to eat during the Fourth of July weekend? All right, let's see what the text line says. Grillmaster Gabe, mario, it's got to be ribs sticky, smoky, falling off the bone ribs. I marinate mine in root beer in chipotle overnight. My uncle says they're better than fireworks and he calls them and he calls a pyrotechnician interesting. Hey, gabe, thanks for sharing that. If you want to share that recipe too, maybe someone wants to share their recipes. That'd be awesome too. Uh, texter sends in. Hey, mario, I live for watermelon and feta salad. It's sweet, salty and patriotic with those red, white and blue colors oh yeah I definitely love that.

Speaker 2:

You know, get that fresh watermelon, get those the water in you from after a nice warm day, and and they also bring it to the cookouts as well. This one coming in, yo, mario. I'm all about the homemade corn dogs. Something about the golden crunch and mustard zigzagging just screams freedom. I even make mini ones for my dogs.

Speaker 2:

She's a fan you know, yes, awesome that you share your uh corn dogs with your, your dogs, um, I I do love a good corn dog, but I wouldn't. I don't typically associate my corn dogs with the 4th of July. Now, if you're old school, from the Pacific Northwest, I always associate my corn dog with the Washington State Fair, also known to locals as the Puyallup Fair. So the Washington State Fair don't come for me please. I'm old school, I've lived here my entire life. It will always be the Puyallup Fair, but we know it's the Washington State Fair. Okay, the corndogs at the Washington State Fair reign supreme Corndogs scones. Now, if I'm at a fair like the Buy to Seattleattle or something like that which is coming up, and I see the fisher scones, I get one, but it just feels odd to have it and for some, yeah, it just feels off, you know. But definitely love a good corn dog. So, yeah, you know what too, sometimes when I'm. But also I love a good corn dog. Or like sausage links dipped in pancake batter. Oh, those are good too for breakfast. Gosh, I'm hungry. We got one another text message in here.

Speaker 2:

Fourth of July without baked beans would be a crime. I add bourbon and brown sugar and let them simmer all day. My family always tries to steal the recipe and I told them it's classified. If they're family, don't you want to share the recipe? Oh man, now have you won a baked bean contest with this recipe? Do you take it to like a baked bean contest? Um, more text messages continue to come in. I do love food during this time of year, so you know kind of. I know things are kind of a loosey-goosey on the paranormal show this evening, but man don't you just love it?

Speaker 2:

food, family, friends, just relaxing all weekend long. Now, I almost forgot about this, and thank you for texting in, mario, wait, I wait all year for my grandmother's cherry pie. She bakes it with a crust shape into fireworks. One year she added ghost peppers by accident. We still talk about this. Oh, ghost peppers, how does that even happen? That has got to be one spicy cherry pie and and I know everyone's got the song going through your head right now she's my cherry pie. Yeah, I mean, I know I did so. Um, are you a big chair? I'm not a huge cherry pie.

Speaker 2:

I would think cherry or apple this time of year, but, um, I really, I really go for like the light fresh fruit whipped cream type of cakes or tarts and things of that nature I don't really think of like hot cherry pie. I think of like those hostess cherry pies and, man, either you love them or hated them, and I was definitely not a fan of cherry apple. I could do, but cherry just was not my jam. I'd eat it if it was like the only thing there. You know, um, we also have some others that are sending text messages. Um, hot dogs. I ate exactly four hot dogs every year on the 4th of July, one for each quarter of the year Ketchup, mustard relish and jalapenos. It's a tradition.

Speaker 2:

Don't judge me as an adult. Do you still put ketchup on your hot dog? I mean, I do not, I do not, I do not. I will not judge you, but I thought that there was this unspoken word about ketchup on hot dogs for adults, that it wasn't a thing, that you weren't allowed to put ketchup on hot dogs anymore as a grown adult. Now, if you do, I mean I'm not judging you maybe a little, but not really mustard for me if there's other fixings. Now, if you do, I mean I'm not judging you Maybe a little, but not really Mustard for me if there's other fixings, like I said, when I go to the ballpark, I'll have a hot dog before I get to the game In the alley there in Occidental.

Speaker 2:

When you go to the baseball game, I'll get myself a hot dog with the sour cream, grilled onions, and then I'll get put some mustard on and then I'll add, uh, some some dill pickle relish, like I said earlier, if you weren't listening. Uh, yeah, that's how I like my hot dog. I'm not a sauerkraut person. Uh, for those that do love it. No judging um, I don't typically put a ton of like jalapenos or bell peppers or, you know, like pepperoncinis or things like that. I don't put mayo on my hot dog either. I'm not a mayo person. It's just basically mustard and if I'm going like, if I'm just going straight in and there's nothing else available, it's mustard only. You know, just some mustard and put down the dog. And I mean, think about this too For those of you that go to the warehouse and you get the $1.50 hot dog.

Speaker 2:

You know you can get onions again, so that's always a thing as we get close to wrapping things up from the Pacific Northwest. Thank you for hanging out with us. I know it's that time of year. I just we made it to the halfway year point and man, I'm just trying to just thank you. Thank you for being a part of the show. Thank you for downloading the show. Thank you for supporting us.

Speaker 2:

Um, we do it every, we try to do it every week. It's just been such a busy um few weeks for me, um so, and timing hasn't been right. So we look forward to having some, uh, exciting guests come back to the show. Uh, mark, um, mark, jacobson, maybe we'll have an attorney come, come in and to give us the details of what happened in the dd trial as well, and talk to mark jacobson about what would? What would william cooper be thinking right now? Uh, with the headlines that have been going on in in today's day? Um, yeah, you, just, you, just you know, I mean, it's just a different time, and if you haven't read the book, behold the bell horse, go do it. This is a great time to to do that.

Speaker 2:

Get the audiobook. It it's, it's a, it's a hefty read, but it's got so much information you will find some of it to be very much misleading. You'll, you'll learn a few things. Some things that you'll see in the book will have you questioning. You're like things that'll make you say, hey, wait, I have seen this before, so you'll get some of that as well. And yeah, you just you got to stay on top of things and just remember to be a free thinker of what's going on. Stay on top of things. Don't always believe everything you hear. You know there's so much misinformation. Again, like I said last week, do your homework. There's a ton of it stuff. There's a ton of stuff out there that has just been misleading in regards to what's been going on, in regards to even Didi's trial, like saying that he's guilty on all counts when they didn't have a verdict out just yet. That's just one example of many that are out there that are misleading misinformation that has been pushed out there.

Speaker 2:

So remember and here's the thing for all of us who have parents that are in their 70s Remind them when they're playing the Sudoku's and things of that nature. I spent some time the other day helping my sister, helping my dad remove a bunch of crap off of his phone. You got to remember, guys and gals that our parents, you know, are getting up there in age and we need to make sure we take care of them and uh tell them that we love them, and especially with their electronic devices. Boy, oh boy, that was a fun adventure. I was like, wow, I think your phone's toast, but it wasn't. We were able to get all the crap, scrape off, all the stuff. So we're thankful for that.

Speaker 2:

Again, thank you so much for being a part of the show listening, hanging out with me. It's a privilege to get to hang out with you every week. I try not to take it for granted. You know you. Just you never know.

Speaker 2:

Um again, I want to uh shout out to mark christopher the legend, who uh retired, uh recently uh, from our affiliate radio stations, northwest news radio, uh, kvi, um. You may have heard him on multiple stations in the market over the years 97.3. He's been on Warm 106.9. And then he did a nice run on Northwest News Radio as well as KVI with John Carlson. So a big round of applause goes out to a good dear friend, radio friend of mine, mark Christopher the legend. It is a privilege to call you a friend, a mentor, someone who has just been very kind in the radio business, always willing to mentor someone, always to go the extra mile for people.

Speaker 2:

But you know you're going to see him at air shows. You're going to hear him do specialty things. You're going to see him more doing community events, getting back, giving back to the community, doing what he loves the most. You can hear him. He'll be doing the seafair call uh. So you'll see him on, uh, hear him, or see him on the television if you're watching the seafair from afar. So, uh. So congratulations to our dear friend Mark Christopher, for my entire team, mark Christopher, who helps us out once in a while, sophia Magana and myself. Mario Magana, be sure to look up at the sky because you never know what you might see. Good night.
