Elevate the Extraordinary: Support U.S. Phenomenon!
Welcome to US Phenomenon, where possibilities are endless. Put down those same old headlines. It's time to expand your mind and question what if? From paranormal activity to UFOs, bigfoot sightings and unsolved mysteries, this is US Phenomenon?
Speaker 2:From the Pacific Northwest and the shadow of the 1962 World's Fair, the Space Needle. Good evening, good morning, good afternoon. Wherever you are on God's green earth, this is US Phenomenon and I am your host, mario Magana. Thank you for taking the time to hang out with us. If you're listening to us on one of our affiliate radio stations across the network, koswkapy, and our flagship station, kvi, so thank you very much. If you are a part of the family, we thank you for being a US phenom. All right, if you're not a part of the podcast, if you're not a part of the family, you're always welcome to send us a text at 775-990-5151. Let us know what your thoughts are, what feedback you might have. If you want to engage with the topics this evening, we'd love to hear from you. All right.
Speaker 2:Tonight we're going to talk about the Epstein files. What's your thoughts about these things? We're going to talk about them. Plus, we're going to get into Area 51, and we're going to talk about the lights over the New York Rockets and what's been going on recently in the headlines. All right, so recently everything has been just kind of all over the place, right? I mean everyone's talking about it. I mean we've been talking about these files for over five years on US Phenomenon, so it's nothing new here. I mean, we've been making this not a focal point. We definitely have been keeping our eyes out on these documentations and and figuring out what's been going on.
Speaker 2:And recently in the washington post, the polls come out and 64 percent of americans are paying at least attention to the epstein files, like only 26% are closely following this study and a strong majority across the lines are supporting full disclosure. But trust remains low. Just 15% accept that Epstein's death was by suicide, while 44% suspected murder and 42% are still unsure of what actually happened to Epstein. It is interesting because there's so much going on with these files and there was supposed to be some transparency with this administration and, like I've said in the past, if you're going to do us a solid and if you're going to campaign on these things, then you got to deliver on your, on your expectations. You got to deliver.
Speaker 2:Now we know that epstein was very close to a lot of people, including this, including our president. Now, I'm not saying he's guilty by association, but what's really going on? I mean, we know that there are a lot of people that have been listed on this on these, you know, so-called client lists and people who have been on the jet and things of that nature and this, all these alleged if you know things that have been going on, doj's you know been doing their their due diligence to go through 300 gigs of data and physical evidence related to the epstein case. The key conclusion is there's no client list. Now do you believe that there is no such evidence as a client list or no evidence of a blackmail list?
Speaker 2:Or did epstein just die by suicide because he knew he was going to go down? Or was it some secret society who plotted against him and said, hey, he's got too much evidence out there against the elite? I mean, we knew that Epstein was always someone who had his hands in multiple cookie jars, people that he knew. It is, by all means, just on all levels bad, regardless on who was on the plane, blah, blah, blah. Look, we know that Donald Trump has hung out with Epstein. We know thatald trump has hung out with epstein. We know that bill gates had hung out with epstein and had interactions with him. But that doesn't make them guilty, it just makes. It just does not look good. It just shows that that these elite people hung out with.
Speaker 2:You know, epstein, for me, I don't believe that Epstein would just commit suicide. I believe that Epstein was that kind of individual who was very much about himself and thought he had that much power to continue to manipulate, to continue to move in a way that which he had been moving for quite some time. For years this individual had so much clout and power. But why Was it? Just because he was a good manipulator, a good communicator, someone who was able to pull a fast one on somebody? Let's go to the text line. If you'd like to send a text in 775-990-5151.
Speaker 2:If you'd like to weigh in, we're going to go to Dan's text in Olympia. I've been following this whole Epstein file mess and I got to say it doesn't sit with me. First they promised transparency and then suddenly most of it's been sealed and they're telling us oh, there's nothing there, no client list, no big names. Yeah, sure, that's exactly what you would say if you were trying to hide something. I'm not a conspiracy nut, but you're not telling me that guy didn't have some kind of connection and some type of power protecting him. The more you keep behind closed doors, the more it fuels suspicion out here trying to get the truth. Thank you, dan from Olympia. Thanks for sending your text in. If you'd like to send yours in, please do so.
Speaker 2:Your thoughts on that, uh, dan, it does. It does feel like that. You know, like, let's just be transparent about it, like, get it out there, let's see. I, you know, protect those that have been harmed. Let's protect the those, those that have been a part of this brutal situation. Let's protect those names. But let's see what's been going on.
Speaker 2:Why has this been delayed for such a long time? Who's behind this? Is there anybody behind this? Or is this just some made-up thing? Now, as the president is saying, alleged that there's nothing there. This is a hoax. People are stupid. I mean, I don't know, like, why would you belittle your constituents? I just, I don't. It doesn't look good If you do that, if, if, if, if, I, you know, if you ask me, it doesn't feel right. In regards to that, yeah, to that, um, yeah, it really doesn't.
Speaker 2:Uh, some other things that we didn't get to talk about on this, um, it just, it just is interesting because I know that they had really campaigned on it and there's, you know, a lot of people that are starting to like, show different social media posts about the president saying, hey, we're going to release these files, and if you're, if you're q, if you're a mega supporter or if you're not and you're just on the other side, hey, release the files, let's see what's up, let us know. You know, why do we need to redact? Why do we need to redact names? Uh, you know, including, you know, the alleged president. If that's his, if he's in there, then he's in there. Why are we protecting those of that stature? But look again, I've never thought Epstein committed suicide. I don't. I just really don't.
Speaker 2:If I was taking my opinion on this one, it just doesn't feel like that's the case and because now that he is no longer here on this plane, it turns into a conspiracy. Right, there has been no transparency. Well, at least it doesn't feel like that. We're not getting enough evidence. You might get a crumb here and a crumb there, but it's nothing that is substantial if there's no. If there's nothing that is substantial if there's no, if there's no client list and if there's no blackmail list, put it out there. Let's see what's out there. Show us the material, what's you know? Let's protect the, those victims, but let's let's see the other material. Let's see who was. Let's, let's, let's make this transparent.
Speaker 2:If that's not really a thing, and if you're a huge supporter of the president which most of us are right, if that's your thing. If you're a supporter of the president, you're mad. I would be super upset if he, like, made fun of me and called me names and called it stupid and calling us like if it's not a big deal, then it's not a big deal, then it's not a big deal. Just release the files. You know, I mean, you got people out here like michael flynn and you know matt walsh, who publicly criticized the lack of transparency from this administration. You got, you know, I mean, clearly there was a huge fight between Elon Musk sorry, elon Musk and the president over on, you know, on X, when they were going, and you know he threw blows at the president suggesting that he was on the Epstein files. What does Elon Musk know that we don't? And why would he know? Why would he know?
Speaker 2:It will be interesting to see how this continues to play out, how much this administration will take the time to release these files in public. And right now they're under heavy. There's heavy stuff going on right now. You're talking about the administration taking. They're going through these files to make sure that everything is supposedly ready for for, you know, consumption of, so that people can look at these files. But don't call me stupid or there's nothing for me to see Then if that's the case, then show us the damn files. Be transparent about it. Don't. Don't give me some like, throw me some like nugget out here of like someone who sits, eats and breathes conspiracies all day. This is one of the biggest one.
Speaker 2:This will, if we don't start to see some type of resolution in the next year, this will start to become like the jfk files. This will be like the new modern day jfk conspiracy, because we're going to be looking for answers and if the government is not transparent about that situation and they're not being transparent about this remember they work for us, we the people, so we elect these people we have every right to remove them from office and make sure that we get what we deserve. Transparency that's, you know, that's key. I mean there's going to be some political foul out from congress pressure, legal back and forth. I mean you're going to talk about congressional democrats raising questions in regards to this whole thing, fbi going through these, you know, trying to, you know, clarify what files can be shared. Other democrats are going to continue to try to rally around this on all these you know the different, different records that are related to the Epstein to try to narrow down something that can be presented.
Speaker 2:And it's just interesting to me that someone like the vice president has come out publicly and said, yes, we need to share these files. This was during the campaign. Now, regardless on where you stand in all this, do you care? Do you not care? You know, I mean, we're talking about crazy stuff that has been going on. Right, we're talking about something that has been going on for over five years now Epstein has been gone. You're talking about a base of individuals that feel like they've been betrayed. They're kind of like just mocking us and saying you know what? No, we'll do what we want when we want and you're going to listen to us. No, that's not how this works. We voted for you. You're going to do what we tell you to do, and that's how it works. Call up and say yo, I want to see the Epstein files. Release these files, vote to have these files released. It is unreal to me that we are still in a day and age, where these files aren't just being transparent. Go through it, get what you need, protect the victims and release it. Okay, that's all I got to say. Now I get off my high horse.
Speaker 2:There's so much going on out there. Did you hear about this? The pill-shaped light over New York, a rocket, or uh? Did you hear about this on? Uh, on august 12th, a glowing, uh, white object with a pill-shaped center streaked across the skies in up upstate, new york. Was it a rocket, a, a plume or something more Like what was going on? Eyewitness buzzed and many people have been talking about this, playing clips and reading quotes from social media reactions. A lot of people are excited, but they're also confused. So a lot of people officials, uh, the. If the official explanation was that this was, this was not, this was a rocket launch, and how the plume created a visual effect, okay, so this is what that was. Is what they're saying?
Speaker 2:The phenomenon angle, exploring why people jump to ufos. Why do we just jump to ufos? Because I think that's the thing right now. Right, I mean, everyone's just jumping to that. Uh, you're seeing more and more evidence of people taking videos of these so-called uaps or ufos, as as everyone talks about and then either tries to narrate or distinguish what this might be and then post it on social um. You know, send. If you do see something, make sure you, you know you're reported to the ufo or you move on um, it's important to get that stuff. Uh, you know, remember where you're at date, type and stamp it if you can, so that uh, everybody, including yourself, will have uh, historical references, because when stuff is going on like that, you you kind of go blank. You know you're trying to take a picture. Thank goodness our phones were able to give us a timestamp and a location of where we're at when these types of things do happen.
Speaker 2:But you know, on a hysterical plane, you know there's been so much misinformation on launches and skies and events. But this makes it quite interesting because a lot of people were buzzing about this, whether it was a rocket or if it was something else. The skies remind us how quickly things turn mysterious and ignite wonder. You know it's. It's interesting because I didn't see it. Obviously I'm not in new york and I, you know, if it was a rocket, then obviously we would, we would know. We would know if it was a rocket or not, we would have saw the launch, we would have had more information. But we are super quick to just go back and say, hey, look, this is what's been going on. Um, you know, take pictures, post it, things of that nature. Um, do you have a? Do you have a? Um, do you do you have an experience?
Speaker 2:You know, I was, uh, at a mariners game the other night, ran into a colleague of mine and I met her husband and he was giving me a story about they were driving back and I think they were in san francisco, and he was sharing the story about how he was driving down a road. He was driving down a road and on his commute home back from a gig he was in a band, you know, him and his buddy were in the vehicle together and they saw this object appear right above them over the highway and they knew it wasn't a car because it had, like, come from a distance and just kind of like zoomed right in above them and they stopped and there was a car in front, you know, a car coming from the other direction also had paused, he said, and all of a sudden they saw this sphere or whatever, just shoot off in a direction, just took off, gone, and when the two when he was like whoa, what was that? His buddy was like I don't know what that was. So they were started to slowly creep forward and the other car was slowly moving forward, they both looked at each other and they kind of like nudged at each other, like what was that? And to this day they try to tell the story, but his best friend or his friend from the band says no man, that was nothing, and kind of dismisses it. Now it's like it never happened. Do you have friends like that? Have you ever had an encounter where you saw something and you're like what? And the actual was that? Uh, send us your text message 775-990-5151. Let's go to the text line.
Speaker 2:All right, so we have a text message from a listener who was camping near moses lake this past weekend. Just me and my dog, and the sky was full of stars. But around 2 am I saw this silent pill-shaped light gliding overhead. No blinking lights, no sound, just this eerie white glow moving way too smooth to be a plane. It hovered for a few seconds, then shot off towards the cascades. It was like it was pulled by a magnet. My dog started whining right before it appeared, which freaked me out even more. I've seen satellites and planes before. This was not that I don't know what it was, but I haven't stopped thinking about it since.
Speaker 2:Jake from Wenatchee. Jake, thanks for taking the time to send us a text message. Hopefully you're listening to us on one of our affiliates, but I'm assuming you're listening to us from streaming us from K affiliates, but I'm assuming you're listening to us from uh streaming us from kvi um 570 kvi. So thanks, jake, for hanging out with us this evening. Uh, I have not had one of those uh types of experience where I've seen something like that. I've always wanted to, but I have not yet to have that type of experience. So have you? I mean what? What I don't know? It's like I I don't know what I would do. I mean, after all these years of interviewing individuals who have either had an encounter or have been abducted by aliens, um, I mean the story about the individual who was abducted by fred the gray. Uh, that's what they named him.
Speaker 2:You can go back and listen to that podcast as well. They're just. It intrigues me so much how I mean these are, these are your stories, right? I? I take them for face value and we all get to choose if we're going to buy the bs or we're like, oh yeah, that's, that's not real. Or like, wow, that's interesting.
Speaker 2:And even in past conferences where we've done live shows that you know, the, the buckley bar and where we were doing the ufo not ufo, but the um bigfoot sasquatch conference where people were like oh man, that was nuts. And like listening to these individuals that were coming up to share their stories about bigfoot and they were making my hair. These were individuals that were telling their truth and it felt like there was no BS about it, like you knew that these individuals were telling the truth. They weren't trying to make up some story so they could be on the radio. They weren't trying to. You know, I mean it's just hard to describe. You know, I mean the my I, it's just hard to describe. But I will tell you that I didn't feel like anybody was trying to bs us that day and and it was just so good to have individuals share their stories with us and the guy who was out hunting, looking, you know, and then came across a big foot and was like this was a big dude, like former military guy, like knew what he's. Like I've been camping, I've been hunting for years. He was like this was not a bear, this was not a bear and he said it moved so quickly that he was like he was blown away, scared. He said it scared the living life out of him. He was petrified. You can go back and you can always watch that on our website, the old conference, or if you're interested in seeing that, let us know. We'd love to. You know, we're happy to share that. But yeah, I mean, those those types of stories really just hit home where you're like dang, that's, that's real, that was somebody's truth. You know it's, it is what you know it is. It's wild that, um, that kind of stuff happens where I'm like I have never had an experience like that. You know, as we, as we continue talking this evening in regards to different things, you know we've had an opportunity to talk about Epstein and what's been going on and people kind of chiming in and you know, thanks to Jake for sending his text message in Now, have you had the opportunity to watch that big debacle that had been going on about area 51?
Speaker 2:There was a documentary, I think it was like on netflix, it was like a two-part series about area 51 and there was like some social media post and everyone was coming out there and I didn't finish it, um, but it was like a complete storm, like an s storm. And watching this documentary, you know, the local authorities get involved and it doesn't look good. It looks like they're going to do a festival there and they're all you know. You're looking at a small town that can't, that doesn't have the capacity to safely hold. You know, with hold, 250,000 people that are, you know, gonna bum rush area 51 and that is a military installation, as we all know, and maybe you don't know that that's a military installation, but it's a no-no. You cannot go there.
Speaker 2:I mean, there have been shows that I've listened to with Art Bell talking about a guy flying into Area 51. I don't know if that story of the guy flying the plane is true, if it was made up. It sounds pretty made up to me, but some people believe it. That's my own opinion. I'm going to say that it was like that audio was too good to be calling from an airplane while you're flying. It wasn't passing the sniff test.
Speaker 2:If you go back and listen I don't have the audio with me right now, but go back and find it. You can find it on YouTube. You listen to it. It sounds too made up, it sounds too manufactured to me after all these years. I mean, I remember listening to it for the first time on air while I was playing, and I was like, wow, this is wild. And this guy's like yeah, I'm flying into Area 51. They're coming after me, alleged, you know who knows what was actually truly going on. But man, but what's been going on with Area 51? Area 51 ablaze, wildfires, or is this a warning? So A fire near the infamous Area 51 sparked more than just smoke.
Speaker 2:It reignited questions about what's really going on in the Nevada desert. And you know, area 51 has been this hotspot for what all of us think is the headquarters for UFOs and extraterrestrials that may have crashed here from Roswell and taken to this area to either be examined or, you know, work with our alleged government to reverse engineer. You know stealth technologies, things of that nature, but what's been really going on over there? The incident of a wildfire that's been going on, was that natural? Was that accidental? What was really going on? Let's be honest. I mean, if they're trying to get rid of evidence, why wouldn't you have a fire as a distraction? Everyone's kind of paying attention to what's been going on over here. Okay, there's a fire, let's go see what's going on. But you know it does make it suspicious because people always have been wanting to explore, and how many you, how many events near Area 51 become a magnet for conspiracy theories, so much I mean including this thing where everyone was going to rush Area 51. They're like well, if all of these individuals rush it, they can't get us all. Yes, they can, they will get you all. I believe it shoot to kill. It is a military installation, so not to be played with, not to be messed with. And you know, of course there's the, the, the classic lore that we'd love to revisit about area 51. That makes it so mystique. You know, the roswell, the, like I said earlier, the reverse engineering, the autopsies of these alleged aliens that may have crash landed here, and I I love this because there's so much focus on area 51. But when you go back and you think about mount rainier, the kenneth arnold situation, the murray island incident that happened on murray island, with this explosion and then the men in black coming out, I this is why we do the show here in the pacific northwest, that's. That's not the only reason why we do it here, but that's where I I live. But let's be honest, this is the Mecca for paranormal. You're talking about a city that has been here for such a long time. You have haunted places around the market. You have haunted places near Fort Flagler. We have places near ocean shores that are haunted. You have places near Aberdeen that are haunted. There are places around the Pacific Northwest. You have Astoria, places in Oregon that are haunted. This area is a mecca for a lot of paranormal, so much.
Speaker 2:I would love to hear from you right now If you have a story that you want to share that is paranormal-based maybe you have a send me a quick text 775-990-5151. We're trying to do something a little bit different this time, trying to get you guys a little more involved. I love hearing from you. So thank you so much for sending your text messages in. Let's go to the text line. Let's see what's out there. Hey, us phenomenon.
Speaker 2:I wanted to share something strange that happened to me at fort flagler last fall I was staying in a home. I was staying in one of the old officer quarters, super quiet off season, just me and my friend. Around 3 am we both woke to a sound of heavy boots pacing the hallway. We thought maybe it was the ranger checking in, but when we opened the door no one was there. The footsteps kept going for another minute, then stopped cold. Later that night we heard a faint voice Report in Clear as day, but no one else was around. We found out the next morning that the building used to house the communication officer during World War II. I'm not saying it was a ghost, but something definitely echoed through time. Lena from Tacoma Woo, you know what's interesting.
Speaker 2:I've been to Fort Flagler, love it there. I've camped there a couple times, had an opportunity to go through some of the forts, the retired bays there. It's just impressive. If you've not had an opportunity to go to Fort Flagler or to go to the Triangle Ring, it is fantastic. Spend some opportunity to go to Fort Flagler. Or to go to the the the ring, the triangle ring it is fantastic. Spend some time to go through that.
Speaker 2:We, we spent most of the day up there when we were camping. We, we took like half a day to go up and just spend some time up there and look at the fort, look at some of the quarter houses, but we didn't. We didn't hear anything. Look at some of the quarter houses, but we didn't, we didn't hear anything. We, you know it was daylight but it felt very damp, it felt creepy in some of these places where essentially that they were waiting for you know, they were waiting for warships to come in to to protect, to protect the west coast, to protect Washington. It is incredible up there.
Speaker 2:If you haven't had a chance to go camping up there I did not go camping this year up in Fort Flagler, but it is fantastic, great place to go. If you've got an RV, go up there. It's just great. They've got the little place there where you can, obviously now this time of season where you had to make your reservation six months in advance, but if you get an opportunity next January, do it, get your reservations in. It is fantastic, great place to go, great place to take the family and a great place. It's such a great community there. A lot of people go to camp. Everyone's sharing and caring and just kind of that old school vibe. They got the little shop there where you can buy ice cream cones and if you need some fish and bait or if you want a kite to fly, great place to fly a kite. Um, and a lot of great hiking and biking up there at Fort Flagler. Just fantastic, fantastic.
Speaker 2:And what was interesting to me about the place, just from memory, going through the gunships and some of the silos that are there, you feel the history, you read it, you see it, you feel it. Some of it is very dark, some of it is very damp and you kind of get the chills. You get the chills, you feel something different about it. It doesn't feel like you're like, it doesn't feel modern, clearly, but it's like it's almost like you step back in time, like like everything paused and everything is so much just left, as is Clearly it's safe to be there, but it is like it's been untouched and it's just like someone hit the pause button on the show and you're like you walk through and it's like, wow, this is what it was like during World War II. You're just blown away by it. It's just.
Speaker 2:I'm always awe, inspired by history in general, but you kind of feel like you start crawling through some of this stuff and it's dark and you you read some of the stories that are posted around and you kind of you kind of get the vibe. You feel something there, and not that people die there, but, man, you did. There's something about being up there that just feels different, because when you go back to camp, everything's different. It's, you know, it's camping, you're back to normal. You don't feel that sense of like wow, there's no way that I'm going up there at night to tell ghost stories. It's not happening. I'm not, I'm, I'm, I'm chickening out. There's no way I'm going up there to tell ghost stories. Uh well, speaking of ghost stories, I know one year, while we were camping, I made up some ghost story and it's fantastic. But but do you have a favorite ghost story. What's your favorite place? I mean, if you have a place that you'd like to go camping at, let me know. I'd love to hear from you. Send your. You know you can send us a text as well Text line let's go see what's out there.
Speaker 2:So other people that are saying we love going to the heart of the hills, ah, that's a good place to go as well. Um, we like to go and find the outnokes, like places where people aren't typically camping. Now, we used to do that back in the 80s where we would go to like, well, we went to mount saint helens on the back side and we would find these little places to camp where you would just pull off near the like a, like a stream or whatever, and we would camp there. Um, and back then, 1988, I mean, mount saint helens was still, you know, we're only like eight years away from its eruption, so it still looked like a, you know, a disaster zone. You know, you saw all the trees and everything. It just it was eerie. As a kid you're like whoa, this is kind of scary still. Um, and spirit lake was, you know, full of debris and whatnot, but um, where we, where we camped. Uh, it was fresh, cold stream water, um, but yeah, that's where we, we would camp off of that. So I, I can relate, that's always fun.
Speaker 2:Let's go back to the text line. Oh, we have a texter says they love to camp near Mount Adams. I always like to call Mount Adams Junior Mount Rainier. Very much looks like Mount Rainier from a distance If you're not paying attention. You're like, oh, is that Adamsams or is that rainier? Uh, but clearly we know which one's which. Um, I haven't had an opportunity to camp near adams. Definitely drove around adams but not have had the opportunity to camp. We got someone, uh, sending a text from bellingham. They love to go to the northern cascades to go camping. That's always fun up there too. Um, haven't had a chance to go camping up there in such a long time.
Speaker 2:I feel like I need to get out more and do more camping. We should get a group together us phenomenon camping group. If you're into camping and you're like, let's do it, yeah, send me a text, let's, we'll get you. We'll get a list together of US phenoms and we'll start doing a next summer. We'll do a camp group, we'll get a Facebook thing going together and we'll all go camping and what I love to do when I go camping is, like you know, share like meals. We'll do like a potluck and everybody brings an item. It's always fun that way. Music's always playing things of that nature. That's just wow. I just love that. You know, got to have the s'mores and that's my weakness is s'mores and music and great stories to be shared. But thank you for sharing your text messages of places you like to camp. Yeah, but seriously, if you're interested in camping, we'll put a page together. Send me a text if you're interested in that. Seriously, if you're interested in camping, we'll put a page together. Send me a text if you're interested in that.
Speaker 2:Going back to the UFO situation, you know it's interesting to me because when you go back and you think about this individual at Moses Lake that had that opportunity or had that encounter, and you go back and you think about Area 51 and what that means to a lot of individuals and how that's been marketed as like the mecca of haunted places or not even haunted, but like the mecca of like, like this is where all the UFO stuff happens and that's not true. There's so many other sightings everywhere else. But you know, I mean it goes back to these. You know, like I said, the classic, you know lures of, you know the reverse engineering and the autopsies of the alleged aliens that have landed there. And you know, in modern day speculation, a touch of. You know of recent whistleblowers claiming the government had disclosed what's been going on and is there? Are they still alive? I mean, what's really going on in this area or is it just a military installation where they work on super top secret stuff and we shouldn't know about it? And that's why we're seeing like, oh, that was a UFO. I mean, if you look at the B-2 bomber, b-2 bomber looks like a ufo, you know so and same with you know, uh, I can't, but the uh, the stealth fighter also does. It's just interesting to me when we look at this and you know, going back, I invite you to to put your thinking cap on. Think of, uh, some your favorite.
Speaker 2:You know, area 51 stories that have been shared to you over the years, um, you know, like, listening to these different conspiracy shows there, they've been all over the place. You know it's just. You know, like I said, art, you know, used to talk about this and you have these individuals that are coming on nowadays to do these different tv shows that are coming on on a netflix or some type of series that talk about area 51 and talk about what they've seen. Or is it relevant? Is it? Is it complete? You know, malarkey? Is it just made up stuff? I mean, if you're doing TV shows about this, why are these people not? And they're disclosing this information? Is it true? Why wouldn't someone who's an official of the Area 51 be like, hey, you can't say anything. Why would they be doing that? So it's just interesting to me that we have this legend and if you were just if you were to ask me something ain't passing the sniff test. But I still think that the pacific northwest will always be the official first place where someone saw and made the call out for a ufo might not have crashed here, but we do have the incident of maury island also and, if you're interested in that, we do have a podcast about the maury island incident where we do a full, full, deep dive into it. Fascinating, fascinating story. You know, what's interesting to me about the whole murray island incident too is that, if you're, I, I was doing some.
Speaker 2:You know most people do this, but don't we all? But we go like go into nostalgic mode and you go back to like where you used to live and I I grew up in des moines, des moines, down in over by the waterfront. If you're not familiar with des moines, it's it's south of seattle, uh, near the water there. You know des moines has a waterfront down there. My high school, mount rainier high school uh, just down the street there, so I'm quite familiar with that area, kent, des moines, federal, kind of my neighborhood.
Speaker 2:Back in the day Now we would hang out at the Des Moines Water Land, you know Des Moines Marina, all the time. Now I know you know things have changed. I finally went there. I was like what you got to pay to pay at the marina or whatever, and that's fine. So an opportunity to go hang out at the Quarter Master Cafe down down there. It's a little cafe shop and what was interesting to me was that they were doing a men in black competition where it was kind of a thing that they were doing down there, where they do it once a year and, uh, people get dressed up. There's a whole thing. It's passed, it was in june but I was just like, oh, this is great. I tried to get someone to come on the radio show to talk about it. Uh, maybe we'll have someone on next year.
Speaker 2:But if you're into scavenger hunts, if you're into that type of thing, what's interesting to me because this is huge now this maury island incident is so big and has become so popular that there is now a scavenger hunt through the South Seattle's website. Or, if you look up, if you go to South Center, they have this whole mural about the Maury Island incident. You can scan the QR code if you want to be a part of the scavenger hunt, so you can go there and you can be a part of this whole full scavenger hunt that leads you to different places around the Pacific Northwest with UFO sightings and places you can. It's an immersive scavenger hunt. I haven't done it yet, we're going to do it. It looks fantastic, so we're excited about doing that. So, if you're into scavenger hunts while the weather's still great, I guess there's supposed to be some great photo ops in regards for social media, that kind of thing, and that's what's awesome about that kind of thing. So, if you have something that's available and you know, you're like hey, we saw the scavenger hunt or we saw this cool museum that we think you should check out. Let us know. We always know about everything that's going on. We try to stay on top of it, but if you have something, let us know. We'd love to hear from you as we get close to wrapping up things.
