Why is it important to repurpose content across your social media platforms?

If you’re working a full time or part time job, if you’re going to school, if you’re raising a family, and you’re trying to build your brand and business, you probably don’t have endless hours of the day to create content. Learning how to repurpose your content across your social media channels will help you save so much time!

Besides saving time, it’s also important to repurpose your content because if you’re on different platforms, you’ll reach different audiences. You should be sharing who you are, what you do, what value you provide across all your platforms.

Here are a few ways to repurpose your content across Instagram, your blog, and other social media platforms:

1. Reshare TikTok Videos on IG Stories

If you’re looking for ideas for IG story content, try reposting your TikTok videos to Instagram stories. TikTok makes it really easy to reshare your videos to IG stories.

Resharing TikTok videos can drive conversations in Instagram stories. It’s also a fun way to change up your IG story content.

2. Cut up blog posts to create Instagram captions and other social copy

If you’re writing a full blog post, you’re already writing your future Instagram captions. Don’t be afraid to take one tip or lesson you shared on your blog posts and edit that into an Instagram caption.

You’ll save yourself time and energy by repurposing your blog posts content into Instagram captions, tweets and Facebook posts.

3. Repost your Tweets on Instagram (in-feed)

If you’re looking to fill your feed with a mix of photos, videos, and visual content, I recommend reposing your Tweets to Instagram.

4. Pin TikTok Videos on Pinterest

TikTok is the newest platform we've both added to our social media channels. Videos can get pretty time intensive to film and edit so we want to make sure we repurpose the TikTok videos we create.

How to pinned TikTok Videos to Pinterest:

  • Save your TikTok video to your phone and manually uploaded the video to Pinterest as a pin.
  • You'll write the pin description and also copy and pasted the original TikTok video URL – so if a person clicked on the pin, they could open up your TikTok page.
  • Then you pin the TikTok video to one of your Pinterest boards.
