But the North Atlantic island is also a show-stop when it comes to data centers and IT infrastructure. Servicing the island and both sides of the Atlantic is Verne Global which operates a 40-acre data center campus near Keflavik, Iceland. In this week’s episode, CTO Tate Cantrell talks to JSA about the current state of the data center market in Iceland, proves the critics wrong when it comes to building infrastructure on an island with active volcanoes, and shares the company’s plans for the rest of 2021 and into 2022.
