American Tower on Recent Data Center Expansion in Atlanta
Joining JSA TV live from the Datacloud Global Congress 2021 virtual event is David Fox, Director of Business Development for American Tower. Shortlisted for "Excellence in Data Centre Americas" for the Datacloud Global Awards 2021, American Tower's Metro Data Center is the company's carrier-neutral collocation facility located at 55 Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. David describes the most recent expansion updates for the Metro Data Center, which include its recent acquisition of the building's 16th-floor collocation space from Cyber Wurx. The American Tower Metro Data Center now occupies four floors of 55 Marietta and has a total capacity of six MegaWatts (MW). The added space comes weeks after the announcement of another expansion at the Metro Data Center, further demonstrating American Tower’s commitment to the data center business. In the interview, David also provides information on American Tower's Edge Data Centers, purposefully designed, professionally managed collocation facilities that are strategically located at the base of its tower sites in locations across the U.S. Watch the video to learn more!
