I've been a professional drummer for over 30 years and have played with some great bands and musicians such as Picturehouse, Marianne Faithfull, Paul Brady, Glen Hansard and The Frames to name but a few.I've always been interested in what it takes to pursue an artistic endeavour and maintain longevity in a very challenging industry so I'll be interviewing artists from all walks of life.

After spending over 30 years as co-founder, co-songwriter and drummer in the band Elbow, Rick left to explore his passion for teaching and mentoring musicians of all abilities, researching the physical and mental benefits of drumming for both neuro-diverse and neuro-typical people of all ages, take a break from touring, spend time with his family and re-connect with the drums.
This journey is taking him from being in one of the UK's biggest and critically acclaimed bands, touring the world, winning BRIT's, Ivor Novello's and a Mercury Prize to running Masterclasses at Universities.
