God Took Me to Las Vegas
My mission with the God Took Me to Las Vegas podcast is to save lives and allow the person to Reveal the Lifestyle Champion within them. There are many different types of recovery programs, they all are aimed at helping those battling substance use disorders to transition from being harmed to being clean and sober. Anyone who’s battling a compulsive or destructive behavior wants to be healthy and they desire to live a happy and productive life. Sadly, only 1 in 10 Americans with a substance use disorder receives treatment. Why?Because it’s not safe to come forward and admit your challenges. The stigma is fueling an American public health crisis and we need to “Crush the Stigma!”Substance use disorders are associated with discrimination and social disapproval – more than any medical condition. These same people are often isolated, outcast, and even imprisoned. Stigma isolates people, it discourages them from seeking help, and even leads some medical providers to resist delivering evidence-based treatment services.

Episode 163 – Interview with William Kemm,
“Life Is Too Short To Be Working For Someone Else’s Dream”
William Kemm is 39 years old, and currently resides in Chelsea, Quebec, Canada – he’s also spent a number of years in Western Canada. He is a true example of a warrior when it comes to perseverance and a commitment to being the “better him”.
William was diagnosed with cancer at age ten and he battled through chemotherapy, endured many weeks of hospital stays, and was ultimately given a bone marrow transplant. Sadly, after fighting his way through the cancer battle, he lost his Mother in a tragic car accident at the age of eleven. As you’ll hear in the episode interview, he was very angry at God for taking his Mom and this cast him off into many years of mental health challenges.
Around age fourteen, he went to live with his uncle and then his 14-year-old cousin introduced him to smoking weed and those poor choices led him down a path of doing whatever more powerful drugs he could find, to overcome the mental health challenges he was experiencing.
William went through five treatment programs and nine detox processes, and he also attended AA and NA meetings. He touts that pretty much everyone he knows or has known over the years, has been abusing drugs and alcohol or is in recovery from heroin, Crystal Meth, and other powerful substances. William has now been victorious over his addictions for five years.
He is passionate about helping others get healthy and his goal is to one day own a group of holistic wellness centers. Currently, he is working for the wellness organization mentioned in the links below. And, what strengthens him today is his commitment to reading the Bible every morning and then praying for whatever God lays on his heart. He spends 90 minutes to two hours every morning in the scriptures and praying for God’s guidance in his life.
