Show Notes

My goal in this episode is to speak to the person dealing with the compulsive and destructive behaviors – whether it’s drugs, pornography, sex, an eating disorder, or alcohol – and I also want to invite their loved ones to listen too, so everyone can understand that changing how we think about pain can help us to draw closer to God.

When we make the conscious decision to draw closer to God, then we will trust him more, and during the journey in dealing with pain we’ll also gain sensitivity, which in turn guides us toward serving others and being better witnesses to the world.

Pain without purpose is unbearable.  History shows that people can handle enormous amounts of pain such as childbirth or painful surgery, if they know it has a purpose.  God wants us to change how we think about pain. We can use pain to draw closer to God, to trust him more, to become more sensitive in serving others, and to witness to the world. In this episode we’ll see how God uses our pain for good in our lives and the lives of others.

Realize that God wants you to know him and love him. He wants a relationship with you. Second, God wants you to learn to love other people. The third purpose of life is to mature spiritually, as you are willing to be discipled and then become a disciple. After becoming a disciple, God will show you how to serve others. He wants you to be generous like him, and humble like him in serving others. And the fifth way God will use your pain is to give you a unique message or a testimony. Nobody else can share your life message.

Be bold. Be extraordinary, as you see the Lifestyle Champion within you revealed!
