Be a safe place instead. Be open to their quirks, their weirdness, their uniqueness.
Allowing people to be who they are doesn’t make you less than- it makes you more than the people who judge them, who criticize them, or those that want them to be the version THEY think is best.
Love is all we really have to give. Give it freely. Give it openly.
