Morning Mantra: "Remove one unhealthy habit instead of adding another healthy one."
You only have so much time in your day. If you keep adding things to do you are more likely to NOT do some of them. So why not start your health/healing journey by removing a bad habit.
For example, if you start walking but still smoke the two will cancel each other out. It's better to stop smoking than to add the walking.
Same for if you have too much stress and can't manage it. Try eliminating some of the stressors before you add on mediation or another thing "to do" to help you manage your stress. Expanding your to do list will only add more stress.
If you can, make a list with two columns; one for "things that are unhealthy for me" and one with "what I am doing that is good for my physical and mental health".
Now work on removing things from the unhealthy column BEFORE adding anything to the other.
Consistency is the key to forming a new habit. If you overload your day- even when you are trying to do better- the chance of you being able to sustain it diminishes.
