Your body keeps the score when your mind tries to forget.
In Episode 5 of 7 in the Trauma Symptoms Mini-Series from Antifragilient OS – NowShift Daily Transmissions, Dr. Abhimanyou Raathore explores how unprocessed emotional wounds show up as physical symptoms.

"The body remembers, sometimes more clearly than the mind," Dr. Raathore explains, uncovering how survival patterns and unresolved pain can turn into chronic health challenges. From autoimmune conditions that mirror self-rejection to back pain scans can’t explain, each symptom tells a story.

We explore eight common somatic expressions of trauma — chronic fatigue, headaches, insomnia, digestive disorders, appetite changes, unexplained sensations, and more. You’ll also hear how perspectives from metaphysical anatomy and biodecoding offer deeper insight into what your body might be trying to communicate.

Rather than seeing these issues as random or “all in your head,” this episode reframes them as your body’s intelligent messaging system — one that deserves attention and compassion. Whether you’re facing unexplained symptoms, healing from trauma, or curious about the mind-body connection, you’ll leave with a new way to listen to your body’s language.

Next in the series: Episode 6 on sensory symptoms of trauma — how it changes the way you experience the world.

Speaker 1:

Today is August 14th 2025. My name is Dr Abhimanyu Rathore and I'm the founder of the Anti-Fragilient Operating System. Today's anti-fragilient transmission for the day is episode number 5 of our trauma mini-series, and today we focus on the physical or somatic symptoms of trauma. So welcome back to our trauma series and, as I said, today we focus on the physical or somatic symptoms. So, primarily, what is this? This is the ways or way or ways trauma can live in the body and express itself through health challenges, tension and unexplained sensations. So what is physical and somatic symptoms in simple terms? See, the fact is this that trauma just doesn't live in your head. The body remembers, sometimes more clearly than the mind. Body remembers, sometimes more clearly than the mind. These physical signs are your body's way of speaking, the language of pain and survival. The first such way is autoimmune diseases, when the body's defense system starts attacking itself, often linked to a long-term stress or unresolved emotional wound, like in a body of knowledge called metaphysical anatomy, this can reflect deep patterns of self-rejection and inner conflict patterns of self-rejection and inner conflict. Then, the second way it shows in the physical or somatic symptoms is chronic back pain Persistent pain that scans and tests can't fully explain, sometimes tied to feeling unsupported in life or carrying too much emotionally. Third is chronic exhaustion or fatigue, a deep tiredness that rest doesn't fix, as if your body is constantly running in survival mode. That's also another way your body communicates with you. The fourth could be headaches, you know frequent tension or migraines, which, in biodecoding, can point to unexpressed emotions, mental overload or self-pressure. Fifth way your body could be communicating with you, or trying to communicate with you, is insomnia, you know struggling to fall asleep or stay asleep because your nervous system stays on guard even at night. Then the sixth way the body could be communicating with you could be irritable bowel syndromes, ibs See digestive discomfort bloating or irregularity. You know the gut often mirrors unresolved stress or stored fear. Seventh way your body could be trying to communicate with you could be lack of appetite. Losing interest in food can be your body's way of shutting down when emotions feel too heavy. And the last way, of course, every disease has got a link to some sort of trauma, something which has traumatized your parts, but unexplained physical symptoms such as aches, pains, sensations with no real or no clear medical cause. These are body's hidden messages asking you to look deeper. Now.

Speaker 1:

I did mention metaphysical anatomy and biodecoding. See, these are two bodies of knowledge, okay, where every symptom is seen as a messenger. It's not just random. It often holds the story of an old emotional wound, a survival pattern. Learning to listen to these messages can really open the door for your real healing to begin. And you know often the pain, especially the pain when it is associated with body parts or whatever. That is also where your parts are living. You know the parts which are primarily troubled a lot, manager. You know whichever manager it is so, firefighter or exiles. So to conclude, let's understand that your body is always talking, sometimes in whispers, sometimes in shouts, and listening to it is the first step in healing.

Speaker 1:

In our next episode we will explore sensory symptoms. That is, how is it that trauma can change the way we experience the world? Trauma can change the way we experience the world through our senses. Do let me know how this mini-series is going for you and how you're liking the podcast. I would love to hear that. Thank you very much and I'll see you tomorrow. Bye-bye.
