Hello, Hello! And welcome back to the show. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Happy holidays! All that fun stuff! We're right here in the middle of that time of year. New Year is just a few days away.
And it's I don't know. There's a little piece of me a lot of times I'm like, Oh, my God, I can't believe it's New Year already. But for some reason, right here, as I'm recording this episode, it feels like it should be the New Year. I guess I'm kind of ready for it. Maybe there's this anticipation, this excitement around this new year of really just fucking, crushing it, you know, taking it to that next level.
And I know if you're anything like me, that's something that you feel pretty good about every year, you know, each and every year that we're going to take this next year, and we're going to make it the best year ever. But let me ask you, how often does that truly happen? How often are you truly taking it to that next level, getting those goals and those dreams, and those hopes, and those aspirations and everything that you're wanting and desiring in your life. How often does that really happen from year to year, where you take that next year and make it an amazing fucking year.
That's what I want to talk to you about today is, how can we? Truly? How can you truly make this next year, your best fucking year ever.
You know, because year after year, if you're you know, if you're anything like me, there's been times in the past where I've sat down. I've written out goals, and I've told myself this is the fucking Year man, and I've given myself all kinds of
great reasons, you know. Well, because this is the year 22 and 2 is my lucky number. And so that means that 2 twos and 2222. That means it's got to be the best year ever right? Or this is the year that this happened. And so this means this has to be it. There's all these numbers and reasons and bullshit stories that I've given myself in the past on why these particular years were supposed to be amazing. Years and certain things were supposed to happen, and they didn't always happen.
So what can we do? What can you do to make sure that this coming up year is that year
plain and simple. You gotta change.
Sorry to be. You know the one to break the news to you. Sorry to bust your bubble that if you just worked harder, and you did a lot of these other things that everything in the world was going to change, not going to fucking. Happen, my friend. Now, obviously there, there will be some work involved. There are going to be things that you, you know, will have to do in terms of maybe working harder, maybe working more. I don't know. It depends on where you're at what you've been doing up to this point, but
if you wipe away everything else. What it really comes down to is you as a person, have to change
person. You are right here right now today, unless you are on a strong, clear
made out path. You know, of getting directly to where you want to be.
Chances are you've got to change something about you. The things that you're doing the things that you're thinking, the things that you're feeling to get you to, where you want to be.
So how do you do that? What are going to be the steps that are going to get you there. It really comes down, I think, you know, to getting back to fundamentals. I think it really comes down to
getting back to the basics. You know the 5 daily habits that you know. I talk about all the time, which is getting your gratitude, getting your exercise, getting your journal, and getting your reading in and getting your meditation. In all these, you know daily habits of really focusing in on things like that
and really working on you, your mindset, your body.
taking it from the external and moving it internal. What happens so often is we get so caught up in what's going on outside of us. We're so worried about what's going on on social media. We're worried so much about what's going on with our friends and our family, and in society in general, and all these things are outside of us, and letting those dictate who we are.
when, if we were just to take a little bit more time each day to focus on us and what we're internally thinking, what we're internally doing, how we're processing things, how we're instead of reacting to things, how we're responding to things that is going to give you that boost to get you to where you want to be.
because if you take a look at your goals, maybe you've got a goal to move from $50,000 this year to $100,000 this year, or from a hundred $1,000 this year to $500,000 this year, or $500,000 to a million dollars this year. Wherever you're at on that financial spectrum
it doesn't matter. The steps aren't really that much different from one level to the next to the next to the next. Now, in the beginning, there's a little bit of difference. And you know, maybe in some of these areas you got some nuanced changes. You got to make. But the ultimate differentiating factor is you.
It's what you believe is possible. It's what you're allowing into your body, into your soul, into your being, you know, and your belief system of what you're capable of.
and what is available to you, and that all stems from how you treat yourself, how you think about yourself, how you view the world.
The only way to dictate that is, to look internally, to look at yourself, and what you're doing on a daily basis, to
lift that up, to create space for yourself, to open your mind to what is truly possible, and support the highest version of yourself, and not high as in getting high. But the best version of yourself. Maybe that's a better way to say it. The best version of yourself, the most successful version of yourself, the happiest version of yourself.
What are the things that that person is thinking? What are the things that that person is doing? What is the version of that person feeling
you, and only you know what those things are. But it really boils down to changing yourself again, getting those daily habits, putting yourself in spaces that support you that encourage you. You know we just had an episode here recently that talked about trusting in yourself and believing in yourself, and knowing that you're supported by the universe, by God, by Spirit, by whoever you want to call that. And however you want to view that thing.
but knowing that you're supported, but giving yourself that space every single day and some days it's going to be, you know. Maybe it's going to be hours of time that you can give yourself other days. Maybe it's just a few short minutes, but it's focusing every single day on you.
believing in yourself, giving yourself the space to grow, giving yourself, giving yourself the space to be the best version of you, and trusting yourself and loving yourself. Maybe that's a big piece of the puzzle, too, you know. A better way to say some of these is to love yourself enough to show up.
You know, because workout isn't just a workout. It's you saying I love me enough
to physically take care of my body, to give myself
the time to put in that movement to allow my body to function the best that it can possibly function, because if I'm not going out getting my runs in, if I'm not doing my yoga stretches. If I'm not doing my rowing workouts and getting the cardio in and things like that. Then when I wake up in the morning, I'm going to feel like shit. When I have episodes of this podcast to record, I'm not going to feel very good. If I've got calls that I need to make, or Instagram lives, that I need to do
or content that I need to write. If I feel like shit. If you feel like shit, you can't do that. You're not going to be in a space to truly show up as your best self, and deliver the goods that you need to deliver to your clients, to your potential clients, to your viewers. Whoever it is that you're trying to deliver this value to. You're not going to be able to show up
the best that you can for that that rolls over into meditation that rolls over into journaling, you know, sharing, expressing your thoughts in your journal, and allowing your spirit to
reveal itself and share its true, deepest feelings and emotions, and getting those out of your body and onto a piece of paper.
allowing yourself to be free to move forward, move through things. Maybe they've been holding you back and challenging you in the past. If you're not doing those and you're not going to be able to show up authentically. You're not going to be
