Spiritual gifts are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit to every believer for specific purposes. These gifts fall into three main categories: ministry gifts (like apostles and teachers), manifestation gifts (like healing and prophecy), and motivational gifts (like administration and serving). God alone decides which gifts each person receives, distributing them according to His wisdom and purpose. These gifts are meant to build up the church, glorify God, and carry out Jesus' mission in the world. The key to using spiritual gifts effectively is love - when we prioritize loving God and others, we naturally use our gifts as intended, overcoming obstacles like fear, comparison, pride, and apathy.
