Easter reveals the greatest exchange in history when Jesus willingly took our place on the cross. Like the Passover lamb that saved Israel from death, Jesus became our spotless sacrifice. The story of Barabbas perfectly illustrates this exchange - a guilty murderer walked free while innocent Jesus died in his place. We are all like Barabbas, condemned by our sin, yet Jesus took our cross and our punishment. Through His sacrifice, we can walk free from guilt and shame, receiving His righteousness in place of our sin.
