49: Taking a Walk and Solidifying Your Path
Sometimes the best way to hear God’s voice is to lace up your shoes and start walking.
Recently, I set out on a 6-hour Via Nova walk—Via Nova meaning “new path” or “new way.”
Each hour, I walked and paused to journal what I was hearing from God.
I asked Him to speak not only about my future but also about my past journey—the lessons, the blessings, my family, and the people who’ve shaped me along the way.
Each hour, I paused to journal what the Good Lord was telling me.
During the last third of the walk, I asked God what He wanted from me in the next 18 months. The answer wasn’t a dramatic new assignment, which surprised me—it was simple: keep going...stay faithful to my purpose and what I stand for, while keeping the main things the main things.
That Via Nova walk reminded me how powerful it is to pause, reflect, and let God ground, focus, and inspire your heart.
Because sometimes the best new path forward is simply walking the one He’s already placed beneath your feet.
