Do you want to appear more confident as a leader? Studies have shown that by making slight changes to your body language and by using high-power poses, you can increase your level of confidence and feel more powerful as a leader.

In this episode, I talk about a popular study on power poses, conducted by Amy Cuddy, Dana Carney and Andy Yap in 2010. And I relate this study back to leadership and explain why using high-power poses can help you look and feel more confident as a leader.

High-power poses are great for when you’re facing high-pressure situations, difficult conversations, or stressful events so you can tap into your confidence and project it externally to others.

In Episode 15, The Science of Body Language, you will learn:

  • What are high-power poses and low-power poses
  • How confident body language is linked to leadership
  • More about the famous power pose study conducted by Amy Cuddy in 2010.
  • How high-power poses impact your hormones and make you feel more powerful.
  • How to utilise high-power poses on your own before a high-pressure or stressful situation.
