Show Notes

Fernanda is back to talk all things Therapy and Love!

What makes for happy, fulfilled relationship? Who hasn’t heard (or been told!) “you have to love yourself first to be happy in a relationship”? So many folks talk about the importance of self-love and how you need to love yourself first in order to be happy/have successful relationship. But what does self-love mean? How does it look like?

Andrea and Fernanda take a closer look at self-love and break it into actionable and concrete concepts we can all use. Self-love it’s complex and there is no formula or quick solution. Yet, there are aspects of how we engage in relationship with others (and with ourselves) that can lead us to more meaningful and lasting relationships.

In this episode, we discuss boundaries, being vulnerable, emotional intelligence, taking responsibility for our actions and taking perspective as strategies we can all put into practice and ultimately, cultivate our self-love.

It's an episode full of great tips and insight for anyone who wants to go one layer deeper into their journey of healing, self-love, and partnership.

If you leave wanting more, we highly recommend the work of Brené Brown who has been researching for decades the concept of vulnerability and the work of Marc Barackett, Ph.D. on how the power of emotions can transform our lives.
