One other thing that we are excited to get to tell you today before we get into the message, and that is uh we have some some people to introduce to you, so I'm gonna ask that the residents um would come forward, and this is really just so that you can be aware of how to partner and to pray with these couples, and so I'm gonna ask the the couples to come, not just the husband but the wife. I think they told them that, but make sure. Okay, so if you guys can come on, um I think oh yeah, that's fine. Come on up here. Come on. I think there's plenty of room here. So uh we are in January starting a uh a leadership residency uh here at Point Community Church. You guys know if you've got enough room so you have to stand by the speaker. Uh and so we have these four couples that have said we want to participate uh in this residency this year. And let me just explain to you what that means. That these four couples have said we feel called by God to give our lives to helping make disciples of all people. And and so we all are in ministry, just so you know, there's not one person who is in this room, if you're a Christian Christ follower, you're in ministry, but they specifically feel a distinct call uh to do that full time uh in some form. And so we are praying with them that this year, as they go through a process of just learning and growing and developing, not just on how to do church better, uh, we don't need people to just do church better, uh, but but learning um who God is and how to obey him, hear his voice and follow him, um, and to really make disciples. And so uh I would ask you guys to pray with these four couples and their families as they step into this, they're actually uh raising funds to do this for a year, uh which means they're stepping away from some security of jobs uh and pay, and we're we're really just blown away again by their their commitment. If you got to hear each one of them share their story, and some of you have heard their story, uh just the commitment and the sacrifice that they're making to be a part of the work of the kingdom. And so for these four couples, um, as I said, if you would pray for them, that's number one, pray over them, pray for them that God would work in them this next year. You're gonna be seeing them and interacting with them, and many of you already have and are. Um, three out of the four are committed to planting a church in the next year to 18 months or so. Uh, and so we're working with them. Some are actually already in the process of that. Um, we're excited about being able to send them out, and maybe God's calling some of you to go with them uh to participate in that, and we'd be excited if you were. Um, not because we want to see you get out of here, but because we want to send you on the gospel mission. Uh, and that's what that's what the church is about, is to send people out as God calls them. And so be praying about that. But also, um, we would invite you that if you feel uh capable and called uh to partner with them financially, they're support raising, and so have coffee, have lunch, have them over for dinner, say, hey, how can we be a part of participating in supporting your family? I mean, this is again a risky deal. Um, and they're walking away from that and they're asking God to provide. And so we believe as his people, he's gonna provide through us. And so we invite you to participate in that, okay? Um I want to also pray for them real quick and just ask God to bless them as they step into this and so you're aware of who they are. Um, God, just thank you so much for JT and Delaney, uh, for Reuben and Reem, uh, for Aaron and Haley, uh, for Benji and Christine. And we just thank you so much for these four couples and the fact that they are willing uh to take this obedient step towards uh participating in greater ways in your kingdom. God, we know that that all of us, according to Scripture, are priests, that we are a priesthood of believers. So uh just because they're stepping in this doesn't make them uh, you know, have deeper access with you. Uh but God, they are saying we feel called specifically to uh to evaluate what it is you're calling us to do with our lives, and we're willing to even uh sacrifice income and time to really invest more in the disciple-making uh process. And so I just pray that you bless these four families as they step into this, that you would provide for everything that they need resource-wise, and that God, that you would fill them with just uh an excitement and a joy and a gratitude as they step into this next year, and pray that we as a church family would rally around them and encourage them and help them with this process, this journey. So we love you, Jesus, and we're glad that we get to uh have the privilege of being a part of your mission. We pray it's your name. Amen. All right. Appreciate you guys. Thank y'all.
