12/7 - When Pleasure Isn't Enough | Ecclesiastes 2:1-11

We’re all chasing something to make life feel full, but Ecclesiastes 2 reminds us that pleasure makes a terrible god. Solomon tested every form of enjoyment, success, comfort, and indulgence to see if anything under the sun could hold the weight of his soul. None of it delivered. Our culture keeps selling us the next experience, the next purchase, the next escape, yet the more we consume, the more restless we become. The ache we feel isn’t for more pleasure; it’s for something eternal. Advent invites us to prepare room for the only One who can truly satisfy. Jesus meets us in our emptiness with real joy, real beauty, and real life. He is the gift our hearts were made for.
