Double D

In this episode of his "Thinking Out Loud" series, Double D explores the increased cash bonus program being initiated by the U.S. military.
Double D outlines the requirements for the military's increased cash bonuses, citing that not all enlistees will receive the maximum dollar amount, and clarifying that these bonuses do not equate to a lump sum, but rather an increased stipend divvied out week by week over the course of a four year enlistment period.
Double D then jumps into another military enlistment scheme, a student-loan-forgiveness program that will write off up to $65,000 in debt. Double D plays a clip from  @BreakThrough News featuring Mike Prysner of the  @Empire Files , who discusses the stipulations surrounding the student-loan-forgiveness program. Prysner notes that only a few jobs provide for the maximum amount of student-loan relief: a laundry and shower specialist, a supply chain specialist (one of the most dangerous jobs in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars), and a Mortuary Affairs technician; responsible for matching up body parts and shipping dead servicemen and civilians back to their families.
Double D ruminates on the half truths and outright lies being peddled by the U.S. military, designed to get poor and desperate working people in the door of the recruitment office by offering them paltry sums of cash and debt relief which pale in comparison to their amount of time and energy spent with the military. He touches on the U.S. military's policy of preying on young people in the poorest school districts in America, namely rural rust belt areas, and deteriorated inner cities populated by people of color.
Switching gears, Double D examines the Pentagon's new 'E-Sports' program, which involves recruitment officers using games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Battlefield to discuss military service with children as young as twelve years old. He touches also on the Intelligence Community's long history of involvement with Hollywood and mass media, citing their advising entrees in games such as Call of Duty in order to perpetuate a positive propaganda narrative around the United States military.
Rounding off the video, Double D reads from the 'Young Marines' website, a community organization whose sole purpose is to groom children as young as eight years old for future military service.
Double D closes the video by divining on the nature of American capitalist empire, stating that the U.S. has been responsible for the deaths of millions upon millions of people around the world, and touching on the sick reality of propaganda and child grooming that keeps America's War Machine well oiled and lethal.
