How Great Shall Be My Joy!
How Great Shall Be My Joy is a weekly podcast, put out on Sunday afternoons, to help the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints be more effective member missionaries. It includes both actual experiences and training tips on how to more effectively share the gospel with others by being an instrument in the Lord’s hands. My desire is that by listening to these podcasts, members of the Church will have more frequent, fun, and fulfilling member missionary experiences and eliminate the guilt that many members of the Church feel when member missionary work is discussed. Episode 43: “It WILL Change Your Life!” The Remarkable Conversion Story of Eli Reynolds
Adopted. Jewish ancestry. Abandoned. Christian upbringing. Heavy drinking. Suicide attempts. No money. Had to leave home. And he’s still only 17…
Then the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came into his life—miraculously. It was a sister missionary who showed up at his door late one evening and encouraged him to continue reading the Book of Mormon that did the trick. She simply said two words: “Finish it! “
That’s all Eli Reynolds, of Chattanooga, Tennessee needed to hear. He DID finish it—AND IT CHANGED HIS LIFE
Now a 19 year-old resident of Washington DC—and a member of the Church for six months—Eli’s story and the pure joy he radiates from his love of the gospel is something you need to know about AND FEEL.
Enjoy this podcast episode and share it with anyone who needs more joy! In the 60 years I’ve watched people of all ages join the Church, NO ONE that I’ve seen has gotten off to a more solid and fast start as a member of the Church than Eli.
Thank you, Eli! It was a privilege!
