Luke 22:63–23:1
Today our reading invites us to reflect on the dangerous blindness of unbelief, as exemplified by the Sanhedrin’s rejection of Jesus. Despite their certainty and power, they were spiritually blind, unable to see the truth of Christ standing before them. In contrast, we are reminded that by God’s grace, our spiritual eyes have been opened to the truth of Jesus’ sacrifice and victory. In a spirit of humility and compassion, we are called to pray for those still trapped in ignorance, remembering that it is only by God's mercy that we see and believe.
