Faithful in Delay | Waiting on God’s Timing

Beautiful Savior, SeaTac WA

From Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in SeaTac, WA, this message from October 5, 2025 (17th Sunday after Pentecost) explores what it means to remain faithful when God seems silent or slow to act.

In Habakkuk 1:1–4; 2:1–4, the prophet cries out over injustice and violence, wondering why God delays in bringing justice. Yet God answers with a call to wait in faith for “the righteous shall live by faith.”

In Luke 17:1–10, Jesus calls His followers to forgiveness and humble service, even when faith feels small as a mustard seed.

When the world seems unmoved and prayers feel unanswered, God is still at work. Faith in delay is not wasted; it’s the soil where perseverance and trust grow deep.

 Scripture Readings:

  • Habakkuk 1:1–4; 2:1–4
  • Luke 17:1–10
