Speaker 1:

Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic show. I'm your host, mike Sasser, two of my co-hosts. Simply amazing what I'm doing today. Everybody get up for Mr Amazing.

Speaker 1:

On today's Game of Traffic show we're going to talk about a game studio found another home. Mr Amazing man, it's like a freaking musical chair in the gaming studios. Now these days we're also going to talk about Fallout has a TV show and it's coming to Amazon, mr Amazing, I heard about that. And Minecraft. I mean, people can't get enough of Minecraft. For some strange reason, minecraft will be coming to PlayStation 5. Really, yeah, but natively. We'll discuss that later, okay, but again, today's show talks about more and more and more PlayStation 5 Pro. Rumors continue to mix. Amazing. The latest from Inside Gaming the PlayStation Pro. These are some of the specs. The PlayStation Pro will have exclusive display mode that will combine PSSR upscaling to 4K, consistent 60 frames per second, which I think is BS, but they said it's going to happen, mr Amazing. In addition to that, enhanced ray tracing effects. This will make it possible thanks to the faster RAM, which is 28% faster than the current PS5, and a GPU that is 45% faster From over the base model, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

So you said 4K resolution right Allegedly.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I mean I would say allegedly, but that's what Inside Game is reporting, mr Amazing. I mean I would say allegedly, but that's what. That's what Inside Gamer Was reporting, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

I mean it's interesting. Do we have a timetable on this, or is it still this year, next year? I just said.

Speaker 1:

According to other sources Other Including Inside Gamer Sometime this year Most likely the holiday season, mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

They didn't say that. Last time, though, you said early next year. No, I said holiday season, you said holiday season. Oh, okay, what the heck? Who the?

Speaker 1:

hell wants to say something stupid like that.

Speaker 2:

What if Mr Mays?

Speaker 1:

didn't say comments like that.

Speaker 2:

Nah.

Speaker 1:

I said this year too. I said holiday season. Okay, what the hell am I going to say? What March? What am I going to say? What the hell? Amazing, but mr amazing. What do you think about this, mr amazing? Well, let me ask you a question. Let me ask you a question yeah, well, what do you think about? Let's go, let's go. What do you think about it?

Speaker 2:

I mean, it's promising, it sounds ideal. If you're a hardcore gamer into graphics, into, uh, speed resolution, into the, you know, upscale ray tracing, right, this is for you, I mean. But who buys this? Do you get rid of your current gen excuse me, your current PS5, to go get this system, which we don't know what the price is going to be on this yet, which we made you both have guests in the past?

Speaker 1:

but who is this for? I mean, my thing is like should we or should we not get a PS5? You already have one ready.

Speaker 2:

I mean.

Speaker 1:

PS5 Pro. You already have one ready and some developers saying that why we have this now and we barely like scratch the surface of the PS5 now.

Speaker 2:

Not only that, you recently just got the PS5 Slim right. So why would someone who just bought a PS5 Slim go out and purchase the PS5. But what I'm saying, though, like If you what I'm trying to say is the window's too small. I mean, I think they did it with the PS4, too though.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I don't think you can't really compare those.

Speaker 2:

I don't even want to compare those. The PS5 Slim is just going to get. I understand that, but my thing is the original one that came out Go ahead. No, I understand that, but what I'm trying to say to you is that you just recently dropped the remodeled PSLIM, whatever you want to call it. And then I do know the PS5 Pro is a more advanced hardware. But my thing is if you just purchased this earlier this year, why would you want to go purchase this Pro? Is it worth?

Speaker 1:

it. You're not Most likely, you're not.

Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying. So, like, my thing is who is this targeting? Because it's not. It's a tricky story, because you have to make sure you price this right. That's what I'm trying to say. It's obviously going to be more than the Slim. You know. It has to be more, stronger, better console.

Speaker 1:

And the Slim is just like it's the replacement of the PS. We'll say fat, ps5, flat fat one. I agree. So basically it'd just be that model and the Pro model Agree. But people already have it already, most likely won't get it. It's the people who like, who are PlayStation fanatics or graphics fanatics, will get this. Or you want an extra PS5 in your house?

Speaker 2:

You know I got to ask you. I mean, I know you didn't do it for the show, but I want to ask you if you could look into it. When the PS4 Pro dropped, what ended up selling more to the life cycle of that the PS4 Pro or the regular PS4 after the PS4?

Speaker 1:

dropped.

Speaker 2:

The.

Speaker 1:

PS4 Pro or the regular PS4 after the PS4 dropped the PS4, the PS4 regular PS4 sold more after the PS4 Pro dropped, yeah it still sold more.

Speaker 2:

It still sold more, that's a fact or you're guessing.

Speaker 1:

No, it's a fact. It's a fact, I think one out of four PlayStation or one out of five were Pros so then that goes to show afterwards, afterwards yeah. So then is this a smart investment, then I just for the consumer or for PlayStation.

Speaker 2:

For.

Speaker 1:

PlayStation, obviously PlayStation. I mean, I think, PlayStation knows that the no I mean. I assume that they did their research. It's only be a niche market that's going to buy this.

Speaker 2:

Because I know I'm not going to get it. I would have got it honestly if I didn't buy a PS5. Yet You're not going to. No, I'm not. I'm not. I would have bought it only if I didn't buy a PS5. Yet that's what I'm saying. We'll do it for the show to buy and make comparisons.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, we'll do that, and also just for the record, I'm not mad at the business company. I think it's a great idea.

Speaker 2:

I think it's a great system Because I'm coming off like yo this is stupid, coming out with a pro. No, I don't think that at all, because if I could afford it right now, I'll get one, to be honest with you when it comes out.

Speaker 1:

But, like I said, it's a pressure of opinion. You know it's like not being managed is a pressure of opinion on the show. There's some people that think it's a ridiculous idea. No, I don't think it's ridiculous. The ago people start really getting the ps5 and we play most of the games across gem between the ps4 and the ps5 at this time. So a lot of people's like whoa, we fully didn't take advantage of the ps5. Only we could say miles, I mean, I'm out of miles. The uh spider-man 2 is the only game that's really you can say it's a ps, strictly ps5 wait, wait, what about it?

Speaker 2:

Horizon also, am I wrong?

Speaker 1:

No, it was Corsair 2. But God of War, god of War, what was God of War? God of War is Corsair 2. God of War is Corsair 2?

Speaker 2:

Damn, I can't remember you, oh wow.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I think Grand Theft 7 was not.

Speaker 2:

I'm not sure point it's On this.

Speaker 1:

Max is 600 bucks. Woof, it's up there. I think so, and Paul.

Speaker 2:

I agree with you.

Speaker 1:

Actually, ign did a poll. I don't have the poll In front of me, yeah, but a lot of people Not interested in buying A PS5 Pro at this time.

Speaker 2:

At this time. Yes, it's gonna be.

Speaker 1:

It will be interesting, mr Amazing. Mr Amazing, let's move to the next topic. All right, our next topic, mr Amazing, another video game studio has found a new home. Mr Amazing, what's that? Damn it. Mr Amazing. Who, who Guess who?

Speaker 2:

Another studio found a new home. Who could that possibly be? Is it when I'll be shocked at surprise?

Speaker 1:

No, go ahead. Embracer Group has went to enter agreement to sell Gearbox Interactive to Rockstar parent company. Take two, mr Mason, for $460 million this past Thursday. Wow, shout out to them, mr Mason, for $460 million this past Thursday. Wow, shout out to them, mr Mason, this is screwed up. Why the basic group acquired Game Game oh sorry, Gearbox three years ago and the deal's worth up to $1.3 billion. Oh wow, that's a loss. Damn, that's a loss then yes, Mr Mason, A big loss actually.

Speaker 2:

Damn.

Speaker 1:

That is a loss. So Okay, with Take Two, we'll also acquire Ownership or Borderlands.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so you got a big Heavy hitter behind you.

Speaker 1:

Tiny Teen or Wasteland, which I didn't care about Until you wanted to play it. I thought it was interesting.

Speaker 2:

But I mean, I wasn't running out to get that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, you know, homeworld. Rise of Rain, risk of Rain, brothers in Arms Okay, that was Duke Nukem has been a dead franchise. For how long, mr Mason? Dead, dead, dead dead, I don't know. I mean, it'd be great if we come back. It possibly could we love comeback stories, that's true, mr Mason. What do you think about this?

Speaker 2:

I mean the more the merrier, as they say. But is it If you're gaming behind you or not? There, I mean I can actually say because Borderlands is a very popular game and will be. I mean for the price. The price was right. You do what you have to do, I'm not mad at that, and you got to keep up with all the other studios that are being bought. So it is what it is. We'll see what happens.

Speaker 1:

We'll see if anybody with all the other studios that are being bought. So it is what it is. We'll see what happens. We'll see if anybody get laid off, because we lose mergers.

Speaker 2:

That always comes.

Speaker 1:

That always comes you know they're laying off some people Of course they can't take the whole team.

Speaker 2:

Of course that's coming. You know that. I'm sure they've all been alerted already you get there.

Speaker 1:

Sorry, we already got our guys there, the guys there, you. No, we got to do that job.

Speaker 2:

No, you make it too much.

Speaker 1:

You definitely make it too much exactly it comes with it.

Speaker 2:

It comes with the thing. That's what all jobs in general, when you merge. You know anybody coming with you oh, yeah, I've been there.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. We have an educated person already, we don't need a duplicate one. Exactly, all right, see you later, so yeah. So let me go one of the games, one of the biggest game sellers on the platform and gearbox, let's say Borderlands. I'll just go Borderlands. I'm going to go through every one of the games they had to produce. Borderlands sold 6 million. Borderlands 2, made a big jump sold 28 million. Oh wow, I don't have the sale for the prequel, sequel, yeah, but Borderlands 3 sold 19 million. That's not bad, pretty good, pretty solid numbers, pretty solid numbers. So anything else you want to say about this, mr Amazing? Nah, numbers. Is there anything else you want to say about this, mr Amazing?

Speaker 2:

Nah, we're up to the next topic, mr Amazing.

Speaker 1:

Our next topic, mr Amazing, playstation VR 2. Oh, somebody needs to rescue them. Oh, please, somebody rescue Sony has finally decided to bring the PSVR 2 to PC. Mr Amazing, about time. Mr Amazing PSVR 2 needs to go. Amazing About time. Mr Amazing, psvr2 needs to go Agree To PC to try to get some more players to access this. What 500, 550 headset you know, which is also falling behind, guess what? Mr Amazing, woo-hoo, metal Quest, yep, metal Quest has, over the holidays, outsold the PSVR 2, not like 4 to 1, 3 to 1. Mr Amazing, according to Amazon, for every one PlayStation VR 2 sold, the Quest sold 30 more units. Wow, that's a blowout.

Speaker 2:

That's your ass kicking. That's why they had to do that move. They filmed behind the VR girl.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, according to Sony and this comes from the mixer the company has sold what? Okay, over 8 million PS5s during the third quarter, but no mention of the PlayStation VR 2, mr Amazing, sony did release the selfies when it first came out back in May of 2023. We announced the PS2 VR sold near 600,000, outpacing the PlayStation's original VR. Wow, wow, wow. But ever since then we haven't had a peep from them regarding this.

Speaker 2:

You know it's so crazy because I feel like, because Sony is the only console system with a VR yeah, with a VR headset.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2:

So my thing is they didn't need to go so high on the price, because they don't really have a competition in that matter. I feel like they were stretching it by competing with the other VR headsets, like the Quest. What else am I thinking of? You get my gist.

Speaker 1:

I think it's gist. I just think that both of us don't have one. We have the original one, but we can't really compare it. According to the tech and what people said about it, it's really quality VR. It's one of the best VRs on the market the VR 2?. Yeah, VR 2.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know, but that's what I'm saying though.

Speaker 1:

You didn't have to go that high. They can't give it away.

Speaker 2:

I know I understand that, but my thing is that you entered territory where you were not. It's not Sony's focal console hardware. It's not. Sony's focal hardware is always going to be the PlayStation. So my thing was knowing that you had to take a hit on the price, I feel, to get your name out there.

Speaker 1:

But they probably didn't hit a price anyway, Mr McMahon.

Speaker 2:

Possibly You're possibly right. Most likely You're possibly right, but not only that. Is that from that article you read. My understanding is yes, the VR 2 is coming to this PC, but is it going to be accessible to all games? That's also not clear. Neither it might just be for certain games, because you know, at the end of the day, they're competitors. So I can see where, like, okay, you have somewhat of an access, but you don't have access to a full blown library.

Speaker 1:

that's another thing I take into effect. I think they're going to make the whole full blown library. According to Sony, they're currently testing the ability of the PSVR 2 players to access additional games on the PC. According to Sony, it further said progress looks like it's going very well. Okay with them posting the latest PSVR 2? Sony. It further said progress looks like it's going very well. Okay With them posting the latest PSVR 2 firmware update as support previously limited due to AMD.

Speaker 2:

Well, though, with that said, though, I mean it's a good look for Sony, and hopefully that could boost their sales and make them somewhat respectable in the VR world.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean you get to bring games like Horizon, cold and Mountain Deer to PC and maybe you'll get Val's Half-Life, that'd be, cool too, alex, to the PlayStation VR players.

Speaker 2:

That'd be cool too. Actually, there you go, kumbaya in the console world.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay For the information. You can read about it in the mixer. They've put more stuff on the firmware for the PlayStation VR and, oh, it could be a big hit for PlayStation VR. But we'll see, we shall see. All right, mr Amazing. Let's go to our next topic. Mr Amazing, our next topic is Amazing. Our next topic is oh man, uh oh, sounds depressing. Damn Phil Spencer. What he do now. Phil Spencer, giving hope, giving hope.

Speaker 2:

That? What Talking about? Are real games coming out this year, I know, but people what?

Speaker 1:

People are taking this comment he made oh God, he always says something outlandish Recently, reference to handhelds. Deck at home.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, reference to handhelds oh.

Speaker 1:

I just guessed, because there was speculation that Xbox Xbox was making a handheld, xbox was making a handball.

Speaker 2:

Oh, they worry about the Xbox first before they get to that market.

Speaker 1:

So Phil Spence stated in a recent interview okay, he's on a plane, I guess he's playing Legion Go, legion Go. So he was playing it instead of it felt like an Xbox and it is speculated that Xbox Microsoft is working on a handheld. Mr Mazer, is this real or BS?

Speaker 2:

No, it's real, because I really think they want, because there's been several sightings of him saying stuff like that and recently he played a Steam deck they also. I can't wait to see that one. It says Rally, whatever it's called.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it says Rally.

Speaker 2:

Lenovo Go, Legion Go. And now he's saying how it would be better with Xbox features or Xbox app. On it. Yeah, and then like the ability to save like an Xbox, the ability to load up like the Xbox, basically, Xbox game path.

Speaker 2:

So he's fantasizing yeah, pretty much, to be honest with you. So he's fantasizing on these handhelds, having an Xbox software run on it. And to that, mike, you know what I say. I say worry about the Xbox before you start going into the handhelds, to be honest with you. Because I mean, yeah, I think it would be cool to have a Microsoft handheld game. But my thing is like you're going to run into the same problem. Your hardware runs right now too. What games you have to support it? I get you want to run the world like peeking the brain and have Xbox on everything you want out there, but, once again, what games you're going support it? I get you want to run the world like Peaky and the Brain and have Xbox on everything you want out there. But, once again, what games you're going to run if it's not the third party's carrying your system? So it's like, what are you going to do? I mean, they do have a lot of studios. They have tons of games.

Speaker 1:

I understand that they have studios now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they, but at the end of the day you still want to see some, because the whole thing about Game Pass, you know, put current games on there too alright, I mean do you think?

Speaker 1:

like I said, you think it's real or BS?

Speaker 2:

I think it's real. Actually, I think it's real because the hell Mark is making a crazy run right now and making a crazy comeback. I never thought I'll say after the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo.

Speaker 1:

DS stuff those days. That's it, but we got to thank the Switch for that.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. This is all the Switch. People said, well, what if we take a Switch and make it this impact, make it this powerful? And sure enough, they have done it, and to me, the best one in the market right now, hands down, is going to be the Steam Deck. A lot of people tell you that there's other, more powerful systems out there than the Steam Deck, but the one that most people still fall back to because of how flawless it is is the Steam Deck, even though it's quote-unquote outdated compared to the other ones now, but it's still also one of the more affordable ones too.

Speaker 1:

I mean, do I think it's real? I think it's real, I think it's real. I also think it's real too.

Speaker 2:

Of course it is.

Speaker 1:

He keeps saying it, it's real Percentage. Wise, I'll give it Probably Same percent happening.

Speaker 2:

That's high. I give it lower than that. The reason I give it lower than that Is because You're kind of You're a lot behind In the handheld market right now.

Speaker 1:

Plus, what are you going to do?

Speaker 2:

You got to catch up, you got to do it really quick yeah, because right now isn't Microsoft supposed to be focused on their next console actually?

Speaker 1:

The digital one that's supposed to come out this June. Yeah, so my thing is like when are you guys going to do it?

Speaker 2:

Because you're really behind in the handheld console. So it was like See the now and never.

Speaker 1:

Earlier I said handball. What Earlier I said Microsoft is making a handball Instead of handheld. I missed it, mason. Maybe it's the new Xbox refrigerator? I don't know what are you talking about. Xbox refrigerator, yo Accept the damn system, exactly, damn. Come on Microsoft. Come on, tell me about it. Yo accept the damn system, exactly.

Speaker 2:

Damn.

Speaker 1:

Come on, Microsoft Come on, tell me about it. All right, mr Amazing. Let's go to our next topic. Mr Amazing, what do you think about the Dragon Ball theme park?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man, how much you wear, Mr Amazing Saudi.

Speaker 1:

Arabia man.

Speaker 2:

So news came out this week that a drag. It's crazy, it sucks because it coincides with the passing of what's his name? Michael the.

Speaker 1:

Creator.

Speaker 2:

The Creator I wish I could say his name off my head right now, but I don't. I apologize for that that now in Saudi Arabia they're going to have the very first Dragon Ball theme park, which is a great idea, man, because it's going to be built like we got the dragon.

Speaker 1:

The dragon, yeah, I mean it's supposed to be like Shenron, shenron, yeah.

Speaker 2:

What's the village that they live in? I'm thinking of Naruto, I'm thinking about Leaf, but it's oh my God, I can't remember the name of the damn Dragon Ball Village, but it's supposed to be. Is Dragon Ball Village? What Dragon?

Speaker 1:

Ball Village is.

Speaker 2:

No, like in Naruto, it's the leaf thing and then whatever there was called.

Speaker 1:

I don't remember no Dragon Ball Village.

Speaker 2:

Yeah well, the whole the build up of the city is, I know, yoshi's house. But anyway, though they're working on that and that's a great idea, I think it's gonna be dope and eventually it would've probably come to the To the states. I'm surprised it didn't come to.

Speaker 1:

Japan and the US. That's what I found Very shocking, very surprised.

Speaker 2:

You would think something like that Would be in Japan first, but no.

Speaker 1:

Very shocked about that.

Speaker 2:

That threw me off but hey, if it makes you feel better.

Speaker 1:

Japan has the Dragon Ball Museum oh yeah, man, I'm very excited about that. Alright, mr Mason, let's go to our trail of the week. Our trail of the week is Fallout. Okay, has a TV show coming to Amazon? Coming, I think, april 19th? Alright, everybody sit back and listen. Hello there, I'm here to show you a wonderful night, a veritable camelot of the nuclear age, not made by God Almighty, but the working man.

Speaker 2:

You can be a hero by purchasing a residence in a Vault-Tec vault today, because if the worst should happen tomorrow, the world is going to need you to build a better day after. The mission of the vaults should be important to everyone To come up to the surface one day and restart civilization. Can you tell me what's happened in the last?

Speaker 1:

200 years. Holy shit, you're an actual vault dweller I am. I thought all you dipshits were dead.

Speaker 2:

What you're doing is insane. It isn't like the vault out there, it's big. I've had a rough week.

Speaker 1:

Practically every person I've met up here has tried to kill me, I'm simply going to harvest your organs.

Speaker 2:

You need to go home. You come from a world of rules, of laws. You should not be alone.

Speaker 1:

Why did you join the Brotherhood To hurt the people who hurt?

Speaker 2:

me. People are going to come after you.

Speaker 1:

Ain't much stays clean up here. Valkyrie, ain't much stays clean up here.

Speaker 2:

Volte. Well, now, that is a very small drop in a very, very large bucket of drugs.

Speaker 1:

Look out at this wasteland Looks like chaos, but there's always somebody behind the wheel. What is happening here? Everyone wants to save the world. They just, they, just, they just agree on how there you are, you little killer.

Speaker 2:

A cinematic viewpoint. I'm going to yellow light it Because I didn't play the game, so I don't get the thrill factor. But I also didn't get the. I got to see this yet from the trailer. To be honest with you, it could just be me, but, like I said, maybe if I played the game I'd be a bit more thrilled. What about?

Speaker 1:

you. I played a little bit of one Fallout game they Fallout 3, and then we got into it. It looked very expensive. The TV show.

Speaker 2:

It does. But then again the TV shows that came out Halo, you know that was a cheater, yeah that was so little good.

Speaker 1:

They spent some money on that budget and it's the Cradle of Westworld, yeah, yeah they spent some money on it. Um seen a lot of action, great set pieces. I green light it, you green light it.

Speaker 2:

I'm yellow for now, cause, even though I didn't watch the series, I just feel like it was missing something for me. But like I said, man, I'd be more hyped if I played the game.

Speaker 1:

Probably so All right, Mr Amazing, let's go to a Shibby Chair topic of the week. Mr Amazing, Shibby Care, Minecraft is going to be native on PS5. Shibby Care a lot, a little and not at all.

Speaker 2:

Right now I'm just playing backwards compatibility on the PS4. I mean, I don't care, but it is big news. Though it is big news, I mean I'm not going to knock that, because a lot of people look Minecraft. As cheesy as it looks, it still sells.

Speaker 1:

So I guess it's big news, all right. So you care a lot? A little, not at all, in my opinion. I don't care, man, I don't play it. So I mean, do I? I agree with you, I don't care at all.

Speaker 2:

I'm not a big Minecraft fan and I must respect for people who do play and I'm not saying I have to buy, I'm not saying it's gonna suck, I'm just it's not for me, not for me either.

Speaker 1:
