What happens when a game rooted in Chinese mythology shatters sales records? Join us on the Gamer Traffic Show as we celebrate the phenomenal success of "Black Myth Wukong," which moved over 10 million copies in just 83 hours. Mike Sampson and Mr. Amazing dive into the game's rich narrative inspired by "Journey to the West," while also addressing some technical hiccups on PS5 and PC. We even touch on a unique modded version featuring Goku and debate the implications of its absence from Xbox due to the Series S's limitations.

Next, we tackle the hot-button issue revolving around Disney's controversial wrongful death lawsuit. Initially barred from suing due to a clause in the streaming service agreement, massive public backlash forced Disney to reverse its stance. Kudos to them for that! We then express our disappointment with the lackluster performance of the movie "Borderlands," which has flopped critically and commercially, earning scathing reviews from Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, and Rolling Stone.

Finally, we explore Nintendo's current market position and the potential for the Nintendo Switch to surpass the PlayStation 2's sales record. What could the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 mean for the industry? We also share our mixed reactions to the trailer for "Captain America: Brave New World." And in a surprising twist, we reveal an unexpected collaboration between Nintendo and Xbox that allows Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to access an Xbox game for free. Wrapping up, we discuss Sony's struggles in the live service game market, highlighting the underwhelming performance of titles like "Concord" and looking ahead to future hits like "Helldivers 2.

Speaker 1:

Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Gamer Traffic Show. I'm your host, mike Sampson. Chill with my co-host Simply amazing. How am I doing today? Everybody get up for Mr Amazing. On today's Gamer Traffic Show, we're going to talk about the major hit, black Myth Wukong. We're also going to talked about Mr Amazing. Some hits and misses in the movie theaters one pertaining to a video game, mr Amazing. But yo, yo, let's begin the show talking about Black Myth Wukong.

Speaker 2:

Mr Amazing sold over 10 million copies In 83 hours y'all.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, three days. Three days, that's impressive.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, practically three days. Yeah, that's very impressive. That has to put up some crazy numbers. I think it does. I think it's in. I think the systems that were close to it was Cyberpunk and Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy. So look at the games I just named. It's a category with duels. It all hits. Those are all Game of the Year.

Speaker 1:

Game of the Year nominees.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, one of the bigger Game of the Year. So that goes to show you. And once again, I hit go. Because what did I tell you about this game, michael? That for a while I was like Mike, I think this game's going to be big. I thought it was big too. I said that too as well. So I was calling this game up for a while I didn't think it would be that big.

Speaker 1:

But I thought it would.

Speaker 2:

I was like this guy's that got a world feel Chinese mythology pretty much to it and it's based on the book right.

Speaker 1:

It's based on a classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.

Speaker 2:

Here you go. So they had a lot of features working for it. So, yes, I am one of those people that contributed to the 10 million downloads.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I wasn't asking you, Mr Major. Did you buy it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I got it you got it, you got it.

Speaker 1:

I didn't buy it. Yet I'm still stuck on this other game.

Speaker 2:

It's stupid. The reason I didn't buy it I mean the reason I bought it is because I wanted it, but the reason I haven't been playing lot of the samurai, I guess you know, ronin.

Speaker 2:

Shima, I play it in Japanese. I like Mikey. He just plays everything in English. So I was trying to figure out what's the best way to play this game. So a lot of articles I read said it's actually best to play this game in. I should start playing this over the weekend and have a better feel for it, to give you guys more insight on it.

Speaker 1:

I mean it's amazing. The game does come some caveats where there was some frame rate problems on the PS5 and even on the PC. So you know what I'm saying. It's not a perfect game. I think a Metacritic is mostly, I think it's an 8. A Metacritic you have to check later on. I think IGN was about the same thing too, actually Right, so I'll check it later on during the episode, or follow up in the next podcast, or gravy for that for this game. But, mr, Amazing.

Speaker 2:

But you know, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off, mr Amazing.

Speaker 1:

But, like I said, I didn't know it was 10 million copies. Yeah, but you know why it sold 10 million. I thought it would be 5 million.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but you know why. It sold 10 million copies though. Right, what helped it I?

Speaker 1:

should say in the world. Man, I believe the PlayStation is sold out in China. Wow, due to the fact that this game came, out.

Speaker 2:

That's impressive man. So I mean, I look forward to this game. I even saw a modded version of this game where they put Goku as the main character. That'd be interesting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I saw it. That's actually pretty cool.

Speaker 2:

I could see that that's pretty cool, cool that Goku's voice and everything. I was like, oh, it's kind of cool actually, that's cool that's cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, with Goku and the monkey, yeah, monkey, yeah, that's cool, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2:

That's kind of dope yeah, so this game looks impressive, man, so I can't wait to play it and see you know with my feedback eventually, yeah you know, like I said, next episode or the next couple episodes give a follow up. Are you going to get it? That's the question. Are you going to get it?

Speaker 1:

But they didn't say about the physical release yet. The post-production physical release yeah.

Speaker 2:

First they said September, then they said they don't know, it probably won't happen until December, January that's what I'm thinking too. We left out something very important. What's? That when you can't find this game on Michael, why?

Speaker 1:

They said screw Xbox.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, it wasn't because of that, it's because Xbox couldn't get the, they say screw. Xbox. That's what it said. No, actually. No, it's because Xbox couldn't get the frame rate in order, because of S.

Speaker 1:

Okay, anybody, we'll probably talk about this. We'll talk about this in another episode about Xbox. What did I tell you, all these Xbox fans, supporters, whatever, this was a bad idea from Jump having the Series X? I thought Xbox was in the same route. Playstation did you have?

Speaker 2:

the disc version and the digital version.

Speaker 1:

That's it. You know why they did that? Because they wanted to freaking put a Game Pass machine. You probably already did that Cheap as a cheap machine. You put game pass on it. Boom, that's what it did. Stop the BS.

Speaker 2:

So what Publix should do I mean what Xbox should do is you know games like that so you can come out at the same time from every other system is just don't put them on the S, don't hold, just release him on the.

Speaker 1:

X, that's all. Don't hold developers hostage because you screwed up. Oh my God, what do I do? Made this mandate. This mandate is ridiculous.

Speaker 2:

It is. I mean, I was okay with it because I'm you know, my Xbox is limited, why are you okay with it? Because I was okay with the 1080.

Speaker 1:

It's not about the fandom, because Mr Mays bought a 1080 TV when he knows it's 4K. I did.

Speaker 2:

That's the only thing he's doing. That's why I want my 1080 Xbox S to go with it. What the freak is going on? I did do that. Yeah, he did do that, damn it.

Speaker 1:

Mr Mason Should have lied, but damn it, he did, do it, I did.

Speaker 2:

But we'll see.

Speaker 1:

We'll talk more about that. Eventually, mason, let's go to a world of movies. Deadpool and Deadpool in a Wolverine movie sold over a billion dollars, mr Mason, I just saw it the other day. Oh, you saw it. Dead people still going to see that movie, wow, okay.

Speaker 2:

Was it crowded?

Speaker 1:

It was not crowded. No, when I went to order my tickets at a particular movie theater, yo only like four or five seats available. Wow, yeah, yo, only like four or five seats available. Wow, I saw a movie there, the Unmeric in Long Island, so I went to that one. It wasn't that crowded, okay, so I went to that one. It was a good movie. I enjoyed myself. I enjoyed it too. I saw several cameos.

Speaker 1:

It was just like Blade with Fire. Yeah, I wish he gave him the sword. The sword it's that little midget blade they gave him. Yeah, electro was in there, gambit.

Speaker 2:

Gambit was in there, I can barely understand how he was saying it, but I guess the purpose it was Channing Tatum. He did a good job with him actually. Yeah, there's rumors that they might do a spinoff of him.

Speaker 1:

And Wolverine, what X-23,. She was there, yeah.

Speaker 2:

It was a good movie. I like it Because you know, remember, ij got killed for saying they gave him a low score. They got killed for that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I'd probably give it an eight. Yeah, I'm comfortable with an eight also, but even a 7.5 would give it to you. I don't know 7.5. It's still a good movie, whether you're a 7 or 8. So it's still a good movie. But, Mr Mason, what that? You didn't think it would make a billion dollars. I told you it would.

Speaker 2:

I didn't think, so I thought.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, because I considered it was rated.

Speaker 2:

R. Yeah, I did say that. I knew it was going to and they did it in 23 days, deadpool and Wolverine.

Speaker 1:

Come on, they waiting forever for that.

Speaker 2:

I know Deadpool and Wolverine, two of the most potty mouth characters in Marvel. No, no, no, deadpool is.

Speaker 1:

Wolverine no, no, no, he don't curse as much as he's more like pub pub, yeah, but the thing is like for that movie. Yeah, who who jams curse a lot, yeah, a lot of mother bleepers, to say it.

Speaker 2:

It is a little bit gross sneak season. I might repeat it on here, but it was interesting.

Speaker 1:

Very bloody.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, in the beginning.

Speaker 1:

I can't understand. When they fight all the Deadpools, what do they have? Of course they regenerate. They killed them.

Speaker 2:

That was funny too. I was like what the heck? And then you know that said Disney has the top two movies of the year.

Speaker 1:

Which was Inside Out and Deadpool, yep, I think Inside Out is what the number one, pixar, I think Pixar movie of all time, it might be actually.

Speaker 2:

I have to look into that. I think it passed Frozen, oh Frozen. I thought Toy Story was number one, no. Frozen killed it. Frozen killed it. Oh, where did I even know that?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, inside Out 2,. I believe surpassed.

Speaker 2:

Frozen. Oh wow, and more impressive, another stat about that Disney. So there are 55 films that ever grossed $1 billion at the box office and Disney has half of those 55 films. Half of them are Marvel. Probably I have to look into that, but probably Disney has half of those 55 films. Half of them are Marvel.

Speaker 2:

Probably I have to look into that, but probably Disney has half of them. But that said Disney. We spoke about it the last time on the show, didn't we? What the incident with Disney, with the Netflix, the suing? Did we talk about that? No, we didn't talk about it.

Speaker 1:

Go say something, are you familiar?

Speaker 2:

No, no, enlighten me oh so this happened maybe a couple of weeks ago, so I'm sure a lot of people might have heard about it by now, so I can't remember the exact facts of it. Someone died or someone got hurt, I can't remember the exact. I think he died, actually, and they were suing Disney. But guess what? Because they have, they have Disney, the Disney streaming service. In that streaming service, you can't sue Disney if you own Disney. What do you mean? I don't understand this.

Speaker 2:

So I go to Disney World, I fall, I crack my neck or my child die because a malfunction happened, right, yeah, okay, so I'm going to sue for my money. But guess what? You own a Disney subscription. Because you own a Disney subscription, you can't sue Disney. Because you're an old Disney subscription. You can't sue Disney why? Because you're. I forgot the exact words. I have to read it to you. It's not like you own stock exactly because you had. Because he had a Disney subscription, he was not allowed to sue them. Where's that, which was crazy. Where's that? It was all over the internet. It was buzzing.

Speaker 1:

Where's that brand? Where's that brand it? Was it was that real it was it was. I didn't know about that. It's written in a little part of it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so because you're all Disney subscribers and something happens to you at a Disney thing, you can't do nothing about it, which is crazy. And that goes for me to say Disney, you're one of the richest people in the goddamn world and something like that affects you, which is crazy actually.

Speaker 1:

It's amazing. Okay, I understand what you're saying, but look it up Please. Maybe there's an update on it, so look it up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So Disney got so much slack for this that on August 20th, disney went out and this is what happened. I'll read it Disney, this is from Jordan Rubin from MSNBC, so from his update, his article, I'm. This is from Jordan Rubin from MSNBC, so from his update, his article, I'm going to read it verbatim Disney is now dropping its bid to keep a wrongful death lawsuit out of court based on the plaintiff having signed up for a streaming service, with the company saying that it strives to put humanity above all other considerations. The reason they did that is because they were getting killed on social media. So Disney got killed on social media. They were like, oh my God, because people they had petitions going everybody, cancer. This is Christians, don't sign for, this is Christians, because something happens to you. They're not reliable.

Speaker 2:

So they went out and they are they're gonna allow this to happen and the lawsuit to go through, which is crazy. Who knew? Because I had this, is this, is this vision. I can't sue if something happened to me, someone died on their, on their premises and they couldn't sue that's ridiculous so I'm happy that Disney let's give Disney a shout out it took the, it took the right. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Disney.

Speaker 1:

Well, we didn't do the gangster wake-up. Disney, you're the wake-up of the week.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we didn't have one. Oh no, no, we didn't, we had one.

Speaker 1:

No, you were made official. You're the wake-up of the week they are. They are wakes for that, actually, they are Damn it, but you know, thank God because that's crazy.

Speaker 2:

You know you can't sue us, that's crazy. And they have stocks in Disney Come on what?

Speaker 1:

the freak? Come on. Yeah, that's crazy though. All right, mr Maze, let's go to another movie. All right, borderlands, oh Lord, I heard about that one, and me and you did a review of the trailer.

Speaker 2:

We did. We weren't happy about it, though, remember, we just said well, all right, maybe yellow. I wasn't hype about it, I was like we'll see. I said the best I gave. I guess maybe Kevin Hart and some startup might help it, but I wasn't hype about it.

Speaker 1:

Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee Curtis, yeah, and I fought the other actor and they what? Mr Amazing Deadpool? That's what I think was the problem. Oh no, but the problem is the movie, just sucks.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, I'm sure I didn't see it, but I'm pretty sure of that. But I think the timing was also horrible for it.

Speaker 1:

Let me go on Metacritic real quick. Let's see what's the score on Metacritic so we can see what it's about.

Speaker 2:

I know I got a Rotten Tomatoes.

Speaker 1:

We have Boyle's Metal Critic is okay from critics, or 35 critics, 26.

Speaker 2:

Wow, I think Ryan Timmittles was like 10% man.

Speaker 1:

And also a world user score 1.7. 7.1 million approval 1.7. Mr Mays, this is a damn disaster, you saw what Rolling Stone called it.

Speaker 2:

What did he?

Speaker 1:

called it the worst video game movie ever. Oh shoot, we played some Super Mario. Bros the original yo it said that John Lakers, I'm gonna say, could die in peace now, knowing that his movie with I forgot the other guy passed away is no longer the worst video game movie of all time and a lot of people were saying something messy and it probably made more money than them.

Speaker 2:

Well, did it, this movie made it, made me 24.

Speaker 1:

No, 24.2 billion dollars.

Speaker 2:

Million dollars Worldwide.

Speaker 1:

Worldwide. That's weird.

Speaker 2:

Worldwide. You probably got more updated facts than me At the time. It was 18. And then U 8.6 at the time, but it's probably a little bit more than that now and a budget of between $110 million to $120 million.

Speaker 1:

That's including the advertisement. Wow, so they ain't making the money back for Mr Mason. I don't know If you didn't see the movie there's no it was amazing. You can see it streaming. In three days it's already out In three days.

Speaker 2:

In three days, it's amazing.

Speaker 1:

Well, that goes to show you y'all, you can spend 20 to rent it, 25 to buy it.

Speaker 2:

I was waiting to link it on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Speaker 1:

I still don't understand why they cast Jamie Lee Curtis, one of the individuals who's a younger lady, and I forgot the other actor's name. Both of them are older ladies and the people that play are quite young, are younger. Yes, I don't know, kevin Hart's doing Kevin Hart things.

Speaker 2:

Okay, there's always could be hidden. Is there a highlight of the movie? Do you know? Is there anything that stood out Like, okay, this person did, or this was a good something, because could this person did or?

Speaker 1:

this was a good something, because they said the story sucked. They said, basically, the highlight is that in Gamescom, borderlands 4 is coming out.

Speaker 2:

That's what you're hiding. You hope you forget. That said it all, my friend. That said it all.

Speaker 1:

Hopefully a movie, hopefully you forget they did have a movie. That said it all, mr Mason. Anything else you want to say about that? There's nothing to say about that. There's nothing to say about that. Hey, mr Amazing, since you are Mr Nintendo, I'll get happy hand list. You know what I want to talk about Nintendo Museum, mr Amazing Dad direct a couple of days ago discussing the museum and all the great stuff. Post will come out October 2nd. I think they're holding what raffles for the tickets for the first couple of weeks.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so three years since making the announcement, we're finally getting the Nintendo Museum in October, but unfortunately you got to go to Japan to go view it. So it's coming, it's going to be open in October, but it's not. It's kind of like that what's? It's kind of like the Sonoma Museum in Washington. The Sonoma Museum, yeah, museum it's pretty much a raffle and it's a wait. Yeah, for now, for now, yeah, you can't just go there and buy tickets. So I don't know how much we know about it, but when I looked at it it's like a Super Mario theme. All over Outdoor plaza displays of Nintendo video games, hardware, software throughout the years.

Speaker 2:

Yes, one of the features that stood out is that they have these huge, gigantic controllers that you can play some of your, some of the favorite games yeah, I think they did it on purpose so that people can share it, because obviously you can't you can't move the d-pad and the buttons at the same time, so I think it's like a two-man thing, to be honest with you.

Speaker 1:

And they got stuff you can craft and play.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, which is pretty cool actually.

Speaker 1:

Interactive exhibitors where you can play your favorite you know Nintendo games. Also, they display all the generation of Nintendo systems.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's kind of cool yeah. So you get to see where it started from it started from yeah and then their currency to play is going to be wondering yeah.

Speaker 1:

Are they going to display? Probably not the Nintendo slash Sony system that's supposed to come out. It might I doubt it. It might, I mean because it's history. It might. I doubt it. I doubt it.

Speaker 2:

I think they should, because, if it's history, you use Famicom, the Swing Tone System. We spoke about that in early episodes, but they should actually.

Speaker 1:

You'd also have a cafe where you have drinks.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the cafe, yeah Custom owned.

Speaker 1:

What do they have? A Mario hot dog. What do they have a Luigi?

Speaker 2:

They probably would, they probably would, and then, Princess Peach ice cream, maybe you? And how do you utilize all this stuff? They're going to have a digital coin where you would use to play games and purchase items there interesting, so that you know, that's that it opens on October 2nd.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if we set the date, I just set a date, okay, and it's about a three month wait. Wait to get tickets, yeah, so be prepared. So if you think you're going to go walk up in there, go to Nintendo Studio Museum. You're not, but I think it's good things. So Nintendo may not be focusing on their system right now, but they got things going for them. I should go for them.

Speaker 1:

You know Well Nintendo's been doing very well, of course. Yeah, I have Nintendo stocks. Mr May is stealing your Nintendo stocks.

Speaker 2:

I did not actually Told him no. No, I do have a bowl. I do have. I'm not saying I have. Oh, you bought something.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I bought something. Yeah, you just fight to my advice. Thank you very much.

Speaker 2:

I have.

Speaker 1:

Nintendo stocks. You know, nintendo's the godfather of gaming, absolutely.

Speaker 2:

All praise to Nintendo, the godfather of gaming.

Speaker 1:

They make me rich. Sales have slowed down. Mr Amazing, expected what you say about you're, mr Nintendo, what you got to say.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I mean the sales, I mean Nintendo's declined by 46%. That's amazing to me because you've been out for a while.

Speaker 1:

Seven years. Seven years it's the longest lasting Nintendo system.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so that's good. You only sold 2.1 million during the last quarter. Yes, okay, I get that. And you're not releasing any major blockbuster game anymore on the Switch. You're holding all those all off to succeed, or whatever's going to be called Switch 2, whatever the name is going to be, and that Princess Peach game.

Speaker 1:

It was not a hit.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going to say it wasn't a hit. I'm not going to say it's not a hit. Where's my wings, Mr Macy?

Speaker 1:

He's still taking about wings everybody. I just want to let you know I want my Buffalo wings for Hooters.

Speaker 2:

We're going to get it. We're going to get it. I'm going to man my word, but the Switch does have things coming out for it that's going to hold people over. I think they got the remake of the Luigi Mansion. They got a couple other remastered games coming out, yeah but the pieces, the main protagonist in the game. Yeah, yeah, exactly why the princess, I don't know. But remember, it's okay, because we're supposed to get a big announcement end of March of 2025 regarding Well, I don't think it'll be there, that's in March of 2025.

Speaker 1:

That's what they said. I don't know about that. They're not going to wait until March to announce it. That's what they said. They said Nintendo claims.

Speaker 2:

An announcement will come end of March of 2025. I doubt it Because remember me and you both thought the system might come out in March.

Speaker 1:

No, but we're getting an announcement next Christmas.

Speaker 2:

No, I think announcement March system by May June. It's going to be a quick turnaround.

Speaker 1:

I think they'll probably announce system. If they do announce system, it'll be. If it's not announced, this year it'll be January.

Speaker 2:

I thought it was an official thing. Let me see something. I'm going to look into this because I thought the announcement is a set of stone, because they keep.

Speaker 2:

You got to and other anticipation yeah, but I think they were telling people from the get go hey, we're not going to talk about this. This switch to, as I think they issued a, not to say, it's going to be announced in March of 2025 announcement though, but not you know nothing official. Let's see a Nintendo to announce which Two, I mean. Despite all that, what do you think about this switch, Michael Switch 2. I mean, despite all that, what do you think about the Switch, Michael man? I mean?

Speaker 1:

I mean, switch is yeah, I'm at work.

Speaker 2:

Let me see what's the source. Well, this is Reddit, though we can't go by Reddit, it's.

Speaker 1:

Reddit. We can freak now Get out of here. No, I'm not going to go by Reddit, I know I said it.

Speaker 2:

We can bye, bye, bye tech radar so according to tech radar, yeah, same thing.

Speaker 1:

Let me see, tech radar said the same thing too the first success of the Nintendo Switch will be announced within the fiscal year according to Nintendo, which means before March 31st oh, I read it wrong then.

Speaker 2:

So okay, so my bad.

Speaker 1:

So between now and then, well, the first year you get that you well, the fear frisky I get that.

Speaker 2:

I thought it was going to be announced in March.

Speaker 1:

I read that one wrong alright, we all made mistakes, so we'll see but this is not surprising to me.

Speaker 2:

Nintendo sells it. I mean, it's supposed to be that it's a 7 year console. By then everybody in mama has one. Yeah, a 7 year console.

Speaker 1:

I mean Nintendo. Right now it's supposed to be that it's a seven-year console.

Speaker 2:

By then, everybody's mama has one yeah, a seven-year console I mean Nintendo right now is just playing for. Can we catch up to PS2? Yeah, I think that's their goal now.

Speaker 1:

Do we know?

Speaker 2:

what the number is right now, Michael. Not close enough Do we know what the number is Not close enough. I thought you were keeping track of last I checked it was $144. For the Nintendo Switch, $144 million, I believe $144 million and the PS5 I mean PS2 is at $150 right $155.

Speaker 1:

Jim Ryan said they have more. They have more, so more than that let's see but Jim Ryan track record over the past couple years. We can't trust him.

Speaker 2:

I know that's why he's not here. Let's see the Tenno Switch currently sits at, as of August 8th, $143 million.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I gave a little bump you did, but it probably is as of August 6th, august 8th, yeah, possibly they could catch PlayStation 2. I think so too because remember, not that much, not much left. No, dude, you're looking at plus, towards the end, people might buy the Nintendo Switch and remember the price is going to happen.

Speaker 2:

The price is going to drop. It is going to get dropped. It happens in every system. The price is going to get dropped, they're going to catch it though.

Speaker 1:

but what do you think? The PS okay, ps okay, not the PS.

Speaker 2:

The PS5's, probably the next threat?

Speaker 1:

No, no, I'm talking about the Switch. What are the prices going to be when it drops?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Probably 50 bucks less.

Speaker 1:

No, not the drop, it's going to be the PS. I mean, that's right, the Switch 2 coming out, oh, oh, but the Switch 2's going to cost?

Speaker 2:

I think it's going to be probably 400. No.

Speaker 1:

What do you think you're looking at? I think 500.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, nintendo, might Yo come on? Really, nintendo will never do that. Michael, you know that already. Nintendo's all about family base. Getting it in your hands, come on, I can't even say that on the show.

Speaker 1:

Even you know that 500?

Speaker 2:

They will never. They will never If a Switch was going to be $500,. That means you're looking at how much is this now? $300?, $300 something?

Speaker 1:

yeah, it's going to be $400. There's no way I'm going to go to $500.

Speaker 2:

Because if you go to that price point, that means you're going to have graphics like the PS5 and things like that.

Speaker 1:

It's not going to happen. I said $400.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, $400. $400, I think, is comparable, because you're less than a freaking steam deck. 400, 400 is going to be at most. If you put a gun in my head, the most I'll give you is like 494, 1999, 420, some crap like that. But I can't see it.

Speaker 1:

It'll never go to 500 alright, miss Maison, I agree with you. Well, if you tell me I agree with Miss Maison, it's a joke. I agree with Miss Maison sometimes sometimes, sometimes I'll take it. Mr Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Yes, sir.

Speaker 1:

Let's go to our Trail of the Week.

Speaker 2:

What we got going? Our Trail of the Week is Captain America, brave New World, oh, okay.

Speaker 1:

Let's check it out, Wilson. Thank you.

Speaker 2:

You and I we haven't always agreed in the past, but I want to make another run at making Captain America an official military position. And if we disagree on how to manage this situation, then what happens?

Speaker 1:

Work with me, sam, we'll show the world a better way forward.

Speaker 2:

I see him, sir. Your inner circle's been compromised. Either you can't see that or you don't want to.

Speaker 1:

What if it's a trap? Global power is shifting. You're just a pawn. You may be Captain America, but you're not Steve Rogers.

Speaker 2:

You're right, I'm not.

Speaker 1:

Mr Amazing. Captain America New World Trailer. Mr Amazing, the Red Hulk is out in full effect. Mr Amazing, ain't know what got me Yo, you might be Captain America, you ain't know. Steve Rogers man Agree with that. Mr Amazing, what do you think of this trailer? In the bottom line you're going to green light it, red light it or yellow light. This trailer, mr Amazing, give it to the people I'm not going to lie to you.

Speaker 2:

It didn't do much for me, Maybe just the trailer. But it didn't do much for me, to be honest with you, but not to say that I can't change my mind later on. So right now I'm going to yellow light it Yo.

Speaker 1:

Mr Maze, I disagree. I'm going to red light the trailer. This is coming out February. My butt will be there.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, so you're hyped for it, I'm hyped for it. I'm yellow right now. Like I said I, I could be swayed. I could be swayed, mike man, what? I actually have some breaking news for you. What's breaking news? Not that major breaking news, but something that we never thought we would see. According to comic book, nintendo Switch online subscribers can now play Xbox game for free, but it's short lived, though. What do you mean?

Speaker 1:

yeah, it's a mod. What's going?

Speaker 2:

on. So for those that have, let me see, let me see, let me get this where you get this from too this is a comic book.

Speaker 2:

That's your source comic book. Go ahead, so the CineSwitch online subscribers can now have access to a game made by Xbox. Right, let's see. And the free download? It's a free trial. It's only gonna run until September 3rd, okay. Okay, it's about a 12-hour game. Just what game is? I'm sorry, I'm just breaking news. I'm running through this article as I'm speaking right now and in fact, it's pretty time to be the game. Let's see what game is this? And, unless it's a decision to the the game question, helps with what it was made by more studios, that the game is minecraft, dungeons, those who are excited about it. Yo, it's a. Hey, what the fuck, mr Mason? Hey, that's the breaking.

Speaker 1:

That's the breaking news, man. Well, thank you for breaking news.

Speaker 2:

Anytime. Anytime. I appreciate that I had to give you guys some Nintendo news after I gave you some Nintendo Sad news. Anytime, I appreciate that I had to give you guys some.

Speaker 1:

Nintendo news after I gave you some Nintendo sad news. Yes, if you love Minecraft, more power to you.

Speaker 2:

But you got here again for September 3rd. It's only September 3rd, the free game.

Speaker 1:

Well, yes, Most definitely. I'm going to go on my Switch and definitely go get on that let's just switch off.

Speaker 2:

Okay, let's just switch off.

Speaker 1:

Okay, mr Bazin, let's go to our Should we Care topic, our Should we Care topic of the week. It's that game we both anticipated for no, mr Bazin, I knew it was going to suck. Which one Concord? It has under 700 players concurrent playing Right now. It's probably only two people playing it right now, but last time I checked on Steam it only 287 players playing Mr Amazing. Sony has spent millions upon millions of dollars on this game. Damn it, mr Amazing. It's a damn shame. Another Sony screw up. Bungie and Concord.

Speaker 2:

Come on, man, I'd be there looking for the next Fortnite. That's exactly what they were. Hey, I'm looking for the next Fortnite yeah, the next Fortnite with live action purchase. It happened and the numbers show it, and I'm not surprised.

Speaker 2:

I mean, when I saw it, the trail, I was like eh, didn't move me as well, but I with me as well, but I'm not into those kind of games. But then I noticed the person that art, my son. He wasn't talking about it, so I was like this game's probably not going to be successful because he has an eye for games like that. I got to give that to him.

Speaker 1:

I just thought it was not going to be. I mean, my thing is, this is a Jim Ryan push yeah reference to Concord. They saw this game five, six years into making it eight years into making it.

Speaker 1:

It's ridiculous and it looked like. What does it remind me of this game that it reminds me of? Oh, I can't remember. Is it League of Legends it reminds me of? I forgot it might be one of the online games it reminds me of. I just didn't find it appealing. Gotcha, I saw nothing new going on and they lose these um Animary series they did on YouTube and they'll show off what the characters main. They have details of the characters and they plan to put like little story modes in. The characters might think you wasted that damn money. You might. This is what they should have done. My opinion came out of solid story based game, okay, of 12 to 15 hours. Then you have the online. You do a Halo thing, gotcha, gotcha, at least you know, and it's actually 40 bucks, at least you know. Hey, yo, the single-player game is hot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you got your money's worth.

Speaker 1:

And you can work on quote unquote the multiplayer part. You ain't got the people at least by the single player game. Yeah, Boom, the story based game. Boom, you work on the multiplayer thing.

Speaker 2:

So like a Call of Duty kind of concept.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they went for that concept. They'll go straight live service. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And those type of games quote for that concept. They'll go straight live service. And those type of games. Quote, quote some of these hero shooters. Some of these games are free. Yeah, they are. You can ping against free games compared to this Big $40 on the front, that's true. And let's look at the history of Sony with these live service games, with the help of Square Enix, mm-hmm, foam Stars you said you called it first. I was getting hope. Facebook too, man, I had hope for it.

Speaker 2:

I did it In October it's going to be a free-to-play game. You can download it now, Mike, because you was hyped for it.

Speaker 1:

I ain't going to let CrossFit buy it. Well, it's free-to-play. I might try it. You know what I mean. So that's why I PlayStation All-Stars. That launch wasn't launched, with the game system Still waiting on that. No, PlayStation All-Stars. Oh, that game was garbage. With the Reno you jump in the car. Nobody played it.

Speaker 2:

I think about the other one with. You've been dying for it and never dropped out, with all the characters.

Speaker 1:

PlayStation All-Star Destruction that's the name of the game, the live service game. Nobody cared, Nobody cared. Well, they have ammo. Playstation All-Star is the fighting game.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the battle arena one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's the game that needs to come back, not the PlayStation All-Star construction crap, whatever that game is. When people pay money for it, then they change it a lot Free, ridiculous and, like I said, they did get a hit with Helldivers too. That was big and that's how it's so hard to get a hit live service game it is Day to day kind of thing. So anything can happen with that. So, mr Mazin, should we care a lot? Not all that conquer is a failure, I don't care.

Speaker 2:

I don't care either.

Speaker 1:

I'm the only person who cares is Sony. It's Sony, yeah, and Jim Ryan legacy.

Speaker 2:

Jim Ryan. Oh, his legacy, legacy of school, because Bungie, bungie now this and now this Foamstar.

Speaker 1:

Come on, playstation Instruction Derby, whatever that crap is All All under. Jim Ryan, damn, catching nails, yo Catching nothing else, he catching boom, boom gunshots, baby Damn, we don't want nothing to happen to bad, jim Ryan, we ain't you know saying that, but you know. But it's not looking good for Jim Ryan's legacy. But, mr Amazing, yes, sir, let's go to Shower of the Week. Mr Amazing, we got it of the week. Mr Amazing. Shout out to Yo, I thought it was never happening. Mr Amazing, I'm going to put it on now. Hold on tight. This happened at Nintendo Direct.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I heard about this here's the complete roster of games Capcom versus SNK Millennium fight 2000 pro.

Speaker 1:

Capcom versus SNK to mark of the. I can't wait for this. I Waited for long for this. No, she won't for this game.

Speaker 2:

So close to $20 50 dollars. Street fighter Alpha 3 Upper Plasma Sword Nightmare of Pilston.

Speaker 1:

Not a big fan of it, but I would play it. Oh, you was watching the Power Stone game. Y'all son, $200 when.

Speaker 2:

I was at the 1 and 2 when I was at the Game convention. They were rocking the dog, yeah, and just playable online. Oh wow, that's cool. 2. It was at the game convention. Each game has its own training mode and is playable online oh wow, that's cool. You can also visit the museum to enjoy artwork and music from each game. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 launches on Nintendo Switch next year. Plus. That's good.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to go to the other one, but they know, marvel vs Capcom, the games they're coming out digitally September 11th oh, right around the corner and the physical copy is coming November. Okay, so that's my sound of the week. I never thought I would see Power Stone.

Speaker 2:

One and two. One and two and you know what, mr B?

Speaker 1:

you can't see me. I'm going to speak. You can't see what I'm doing. All those people who sell their retro games for $250. Yo, yo.

Speaker 2:

Yes, sir, I'm going to get this for $49.99.

Speaker 1:

Nah, that's damn skippy. They want to get my money. You know, what I'm saying. I'll give them the number one fingers of those resellers. My thing is, like they said, no, this is coming out where these Sega games was on corner of Dreamcast. These games were on Dreamcast Power Stone 1 and 2. Would it be a cheaper price for those games?

Speaker 2:

I don't think so because it's still on the classic system.

Speaker 1:

So I don't think so, but that's our shout out of the week, mr Amazing, so Mr Amazing. Out of the week, mr Amazing, so Mr Amazing. You told me you got a gangster or a wankster of the week this week.

Speaker 2:

A gangster of the week. A gangster of the week, I mean, it's not really a gangster. Nah, my thing was more of a shout out.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, Didn't we do the wankster, the Nintendo?

Speaker 2:

Damn it the Nintendo Disney earlier Sorry, Mr Mason.

Speaker 1:

Then we out. Then I guess the show's a wrap. That's a wrap. Thank you again. Like and subscribe. Sorry we're late, but we'll be back.

Speaker 2:

Take care y'all Later Outro Music.
