Let's do this. Welcome everybody to another episode of the Game of Traffic show. I'm your host, mike Sansom. Tune in to my co-hosts. Simply Amazing by doing today Everybody give it up for Mr Amazing A taste of Game of Traffic show. We're going to talk about PlayStation. Over the past 13 months, what have they been doing, and do you love it or hate it, mr Mazin? What do you think, mr Mazin?
Speaker 2:I think they had a good year I think they had a so-so year.
Speaker 1:You say so-so. I say good, okay, mr Mazin. Well, you know what, mr Mazin? Yeah, let's begin the show talking about the highlights, mr Mazin, then afterwards we'll go to the lowlights, over the past 12 to 13 months, of the PlayStation 5 console. Mr Mazin, let's begin the show talking about your game, Astro Bot.
Speaker 2:The biggest highlight of the year.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the biggest highlight of PlayStation, astro Bot, has sold. I think it's sold over a million copies at present day. But, mr Mazin, the game chairman, is that it won the Game of the Year at Jeff Keighley's Video Game Awards show. It also won over, I think. No, not over, but over. We'll say Zach 104 Game of the Year awards for this year. So passing your game, mr Amazing. You and Mom Got Game played this game. What is it, mr Amazing?
Speaker 2:What I didn't hear that word. Say it again, mr Amazing.
Speaker 1:Oh, you did, Mr Amazing. What is it, Mr Amazing?
Speaker 2:What? I didn't hear that word. Say it again, mr Amazing. Oh, you did, mr Amazing.
Speaker 1:No, no, no, I'm saying Astro Bot has won over no, I won't say over had won exactly 104 Game of the Year awards, mr Bay, surpassing the previous title holder, which was Mr Amazing. You know the name of the game.
Speaker 2:Of course I know that game. Come on, that's one of my favorite games. It takes two it takes.
Speaker 1:Two was held. It with 83 game of the game of the year awards, especially for a platform, mr amazing. Okay, that's excellent, excellent a game that nobody thought much of. But mr mage, you played it. Go more into it okay.
Speaker 2:so I played both actually and let me just talk about the previous holder. It Takes Two is a fun game, especially if you have someone to play it. Together with the teaming up the levels, it made it exciting. So now I did complete that game. Took me longer than I expected, to be honest with you, and now I jumped into Astro Bot. I'm about 14 hours in. I want to say to be honest with you and now I jumped into Astro Bot. I'm about 14 hours in. I want to say give or take the way I do my missions. I'm probably like 70% done with the game.
Speaker 2:Love the game so far. I love how they iterate everything Sony, all Sony classics, from God of War, from Horizon to Uncharted where the big. I don't want to give away too much because I know you didn't play where they designed levels created to those major games when you play as that character. So I'll keep it at that. And what I think makes it even much more fun is the fact that a lot of levels are like five minutes. There's some a little longer, but you're not playing a level where you're like, oh my God, what do I do? What do I do? Every level is straightforward, depending how much, of how much you want to collect.
Speaker 1:I keep that in mind. Oh, yeah, sure, I started the game. I didn't, like I said, go detailed, deep into it. I started the game to Deadline 2.
Speaker 2:Okay, no, fair enough I understand and Mortal Kombat.
Speaker 1:1. Go ahead.
Speaker 2:So earlier you said it's still 1 million, but as of November it was standing at 1.5. So you know, and scoring, and more impressive was that 37% of buyers to Astro Bot 2 were new users who didn't play Part 1, like me, so I jumped right into it and I love it. And the fact that this game swept in stole the Game of War I didn't say stole, but they earned it it's kudos to them and that's one of Sony's biggest features on a year that a lot of people said was not going to be a good year for games because they didn't have none of their major AAA games coming out.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:So that was very impressive. Sony snuck one in there and got it, so shout out to them for that. True, true, true.
Speaker 1:Alright, mr Mazin, let's go to the Helldivers 2, which is not published by. It's not a first-party game, but published by Sony, mr Amazing. Helldivers 2 released in February of this year, mr Amazing. It won a critical claim and is making bank, mr Amazing. It sold over 12 million copies within three months. Mr Amazing has won numerous awards. Mr Amazing, this game was a big hit for Sony. This is a game I think Sony did not put much effort advertising, but to the skills of these developers and the word of amount of people, it's a big hit for Sony places. It's been a big hit for PC players and it's such a big hit Yo Xbox players want to play this game. Begging Sony, please, please, can we please have one?
Speaker 2:No, no, you're right. Actually, mr Amazing, that game was big. Actually you called it, I think, if you credit where credit is due. Yes, I didn't see it and at first I was like, eh, but then I sort of hyped behind. I was like, oh, I got to get on to this man.
Speaker 3:And I'm sorry y'all, I never got the copy.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry y'all, but that was supposed to be one of the. I mean I wish I did get a chance to play it. The Helldivers was a sneaky one in there as well, and it blew up and it's still growing and hopefully we can jump on that one time too. Mike, I mean, did the DLC come out for it? Didn't they drop a DLC on there there?
Speaker 1:there are many. There are many, uh, many, uh extra, um, we'll say dlc content for it they supposed to have, I forgot is it kills. I believe it's kill zone okay, wow kill zone content uh kill zone that's cool.
Speaker 2:You mean, you just play that game a lot kill zone.
Speaker 1:So we'll see so. But uh, mr amazing, anything else you want to say about that particular game?
Speaker 2:No, no, but you came up with two strong games for the year so far for Sony man. What else we jumping into, mr Amazing?
Speaker 1:another game Stealth, Blade Stealth. Blade okay, which was produced, published by Mr Shift Up Studios and Shift Up Studios made bank from this game. Shifters Studios made bank from this game. Shifters Studios made $19 million from Stella Bray. In the second quarter Total revenue went up 65%, mr Mazin, wow, we'll put a number to that $48 million, Mr Mazin? Oh shoot, Damn it. What's the button?
Speaker 2:Give it up for them.
Speaker 1:Well-deserved.
Speaker 2:That's well-deserved them.
Speaker 1:Well deserved. That's well deserved, mr Amazing. So another thing, mr Amazing, another game that you find very impressive. You made a mistake and said this is better than Ghost of Tsushima, not, for sure. Rise of the Roman.
Speaker 2:I don't, okay, I'm going to correct myself. Yes, correct yourself. Ghost of Tsushima. I don't, okay, I'm going to correct myself. Yes, correct yourself. Ghost of Tsushima. Aesthetically way better. I do think aesthetically is way better, but I kind of prefer the fighting scheme of Rise of the Rolling. I like the fact with the gun, I like the fact that you're really fighting, because if you don't fight that you have to know how to time things and hit the buzzer at the right time and when the enemies. They got a little bit stronger as you got further, and how different weapons.
Speaker 1:It's the same for Ghost of Tsushima too.
Speaker 2:It is, but I find it better on Rise of the Rising, I mean that's your personal preference, you know.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I personally find the fighting a little bit better on there.
Speaker 2:This is. I prefer Rise of the One Piece. I think it was a better looking game, though that I hands down, cause I don't know why the graphics look a little outdated to me.
Speaker 3:Yes, it is outdated. Mr Maze, it did look a little outdated.
Speaker 2:Yes, it is, but the gameplay was really good though, and my only other knock on Rise of the One Piece and I don't want to keep sounding like I'm knocking, cause it was the storyline. It was very, very Convoluted, yeah, and at one point I was like whose team am I fighting with? Yes, I'm like who am I saving? I was like, okay, I got a little bit confused there, to be honest. I'll be very honest with that, so I wish they did a better job with the storyline. But outside of that, love the game.
Speaker 1:If again and do it again. Yeah, and this is the best-selling game for Tech Home Games. I'm probably mispronouncing it, but it's the best-selling game for them. Okay, so Mr Amazing Shoo I mean for his games not bad.
Speaker 2:Yeah, no, not at all, Not at all, but Mr.
Speaker 1:Amazing. Let's go to PlayStation 5 sales. Mr Amazing, PlayStation 5 sales has surpassed what amount, Mr Amazing $60 million, $67 million console sold Almost there. Mr Amazing, according to industry insiders, playstation 5 was the most sold console of November. The PS Pro counted for 19% of those sales. Mr Amazing and surprising thing is that the PS Pro 5 outsold the PS4 Pro that came out 2016, which sold for a lower price, which was kind of surprising.
Speaker 2:oh okay, you know what I'm saying so anything else you want to say about Mr Amazing? No, I mean, those were that's great actually. Actually, man, I think it's going strong man.
Speaker 1:Well, Mr Mason, let's not end it there with PS5 sales. Oh, there's, a lot more PS4, no, sorry, PS5 VR sales. It jumped up big time when it cut the prices in. I believe it was August, Mr Mason, and you know what it jumped up. You know, Mr Amazing went for 24 hours. Sales jumped up to 2,350% in 24 hours. Wow, that's impressive. Yeah, so, Mr Amazing. So remember, earlier in the year it was dead. I mean, it's on life support now, Mr Amazing.
Speaker 1:It's not dead, it's on life support now, mr Amazing, he's not dead, it's a life support right now. So, also, mr Amazing, ps5 adapter has came to PC to bring some life to the PC for the PS5. I'm sorry, ps5 VR, mr Amazing. So now you get to play PC games, elsa's theme games, which include Half-Life, alyx, fallout 4 VR and War of Thunder, mr Amazing.
Speaker 2:That's cool. Actually that's not bad, not a bad line-up at all, y'all. I feel like we're missing another game too. Actually that came out for the PlayStation man, I think, one that's somewhat kind of big, you can see. Didn't Final Fantasy 7 come out early part of the year?
Speaker 1:I know it's coming out. Yeah, Final Fantasy exclusive. Was it 16?
Speaker 2:Yes, yeah, that dropped off.
Speaker 1:Was it a big?
Speaker 2:impact? I don't think so.
Speaker 1:I think I didn't hear people talking about it like that you talk about it, but remember Square Enix was disappointing the sales that they have.
Speaker 2:Isn't that why they opened it up to?
Speaker 1:the Other systems.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think Malfoy was in early this year. Did it come out already?
Speaker 1:No, the other systems. No, I think this year. But the only reason I don't think it's a big deal going to Xbox, because who cares? There's Xbox. I just thought they made a misstep. Yes, you can make a. Still put it on PC.
Speaker 2:No, of course.
Speaker 1:That's not what it did. I was like why are you not going to put it on PC? Yeah, that would have been a smart thing to do. Actually that was a smart thing to do. I found that ridiculous with the J. I thought it was a misstep.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I agree with you on that.
Speaker 1:You know what I'm saying, but Mr Mason or reported partnership with Sony Group and Apple. The two companies are discussing possible Division Pro supporting the VR hand controllers.
Speaker 2:Oh, that's good. I hope Sony's all in on that. All parties are all in and Sony has to be all in because they need cells on that system Any kind of cells with them. Yes, I think they're going to be all in on that. I mean, of course.
Speaker 1:Anything else you want to say about that?
Speaker 2:Not on that specifically, but I just want to drop one more, if you don't mind, and I know it's not official, exclusive my hands are in the button, but to me but to me it is exclusive because it's not out yet. Black Myth Wukong, which is the Chinese company that dropped one of its first major AAA games, that was not supposed to have the kind of sales success that it had this year.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so 18 million copies.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm going to say that's the surprise game of the year. Over your hell dive. Oh yeah, over your hell dive. Right, I'm going to say that you know we're Helldiver.
Speaker 1:Ah, mr Mane, Because, helldiver, we saw the potential. No, no, nobody knew that was coming, nobody knew that was coming.
Speaker 2:Mr Mane, what I mean by that is.
Speaker 1:I would put them on equal level. You gotta say as a live service game. You say that put that category as a single player game.
Speaker 2:Yes, that was wrong. You're absolutely not wrong. But the reason I'm going to give Black with Wukong a little bit more credit is because Helldiver, like you said, is a live service game. The people make it more fun. Black with Wukong is a single player game where you were not expecting for it to be what it was, and what I mean by I understand. It's confusing. Even I'm confused. What the hell am I saying? Yes, I'm confused. And what I mean by that? If y'all sit with me, I deserve that one. And what I mean by that is I felt like it was going to make numbers alone, because it's a multiplayer game. It's a live service game, so like people are going to jump on it regardless for Helldivers no stop it, stop it, I think people are going to jump on it regardless.
Speaker 1:Stop it, stop it. They were Mike, mr Mason. How? Many live service games have failed.
Speaker 2:Tons of them. So why are you going to say you're going to jump on it Because that had potential? You saw the potential on that one. No, no, mr Mason, you called it.
Speaker 1:I called it, but it was no one told me this big Mr Mason.
Speaker 2:No, and I agree with you. I just don't Black.
Speaker 1:Mifukon. No, I think you should just leave it like this as a live service game. No aspect of a Helldiver.
Speaker 3:Got you.
Speaker 1:As a single player game. No aspect of a Black Mifukon. You should leave it like that and just leave it like that. I don't need you going further than that. I do agree with you with that, Because they're both serving different drawners. You're right. How much did Helldiver?
Speaker 2:sell again. You said Huh, Did you?
Speaker 1:give me the sales In the first three months 12 million copies 12 million.
Speaker 2:What was Black Mufuka?
Speaker 1:It was more than that. It was 18 million copies I wanted him to say that y'all. Point proven.
Speaker 2:What point the sales, michael Numbers. Don't lie, michael. It's amazing Numbers, don't?
Speaker 1:lie, I didn't say with a lot, I'm not saying they're different genres. I'm not saying they're different. Nobody's playing both of these games, that type of success.
Speaker 2:I know and you have to have your opinion.
Speaker 1:Your opinion is wrong.
Speaker 2:Your opinion can't be wrong, buddy. Your opinion can't be wrong, but I do understand what you're saying. Though, and I agree with what you're saying. I just think Black Mufukon would be the bigger. I'm not going to say bigger story, but, sales wise, I don't think anyone saw that one coming.
Speaker 1:Oh no, I don't think. No, I know, I saw that coming. Okay, I mean, those are my big. I thought it would be a good game. A lot of people were hyped up for that game For which one. Black Mufukon. It was shown in several showcases. People are still hyped up.
Speaker 2:They were, because it was the whole mythological you know thing to it, you know. And you bring it onto a platform. Yeah, of course they'll be big about it.
Speaker 1:Well, Mr Mason, let's go on to a thing that me and you both did. Oh, what's that? The PlayStation Portal.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, yeah, that was last year. It came out, it came out December, it came out November, like November 2023.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but it continues to be a top seller in Amazon. It's been the top 10 gaming device accessory. Mr Mason, okay, they also had a PlayStation anniversary edition. They did, and recently announced the all black edition. I didn't know about that Coming out in February. Mr Mazin, it also has remote play and cloud streaming. Now Cloud streaming is getting mixed with views. Some people said it's great, some people said it's mmm. But, mr Mazin, this is a clear way for Portal 2. That's all.
Speaker 2:Exactly and you know exactly what the Portal 2 is going to be right, you can take it outside. You don't need, you don't need to play local. It's not like a switch, but you can.
Speaker 1:But you can do cloud gaming and hook up to other wide services, but you go to your friend's house, you go to a cafe, starbucks, whatever that's true.
Speaker 2:That is true. I mean yes. Did the portal surpass my expectations? Yes, it did.
Speaker 1:You can say our expectations. Yeah, our expectations because we both were like we don't know, we laughed and giggled. Mr Mason, yeah, we did. We laughed and giggled, we did.
Speaker 2:But despite that, despite the sales, ask yourself this I think we don't have a portal, and I might be funny how many stories you heard about the portal, when a portal is a two different experience.
Speaker 1:Like I said, I know two people got a portal.
Speaker 2:Me too. I probably know about two also, but my thing, is? Is the portal something you can live without? Like? Did you need to buy it? Is it really worth the buy, you got to step.
Speaker 1:We come from both biased opinions. No, no, of course we both laugh and giggle that, mr Manny? No, I understand that. We thought it was gonna die a month later.
Speaker 2:No, I agree, but I'm not saying the portal sucks. I think the portal is wonderful, what it did. I'm just saying that I don't think the portal was a game changer. It was like the Switch you got to be in close proximity to play it. You can't take it. It wasn't like the.
Speaker 1:Switch, not the Switch, not the Switch.
Speaker 2:Excuse me, the Wii.
Speaker 1:It was better than the Wii. The Wii, you go to the bathroom, yeah, I know, but you go to the kitchen, oh shoot, no, I disconnect, I disconnect.
Speaker 2:So go ahead with your point. No, it is better than that, I think. Actually, now would I get one. Yeah, I'll get one, I wouldn't mind. I wouldn't mind.
Speaker 1:I'm not going to use it. Like I said, I'm not a big handheld person.
Speaker 2:No, you always say that I'm more of a handheld person than you are. But you know, everybody knows, if I'm going to get a handheld, what it's going to be.
Speaker 1:I mean, I had to get my beat on it was marijuana but I have the little metal gear here and there. Yeah, okay, Mr Mason.
Speaker 2:Shut the hell up, get out of here. That's nonsense, it's facts. Get the block, get the block.
Speaker 1:All right, Mr Mason. 13 months, Mr Mason.
Speaker 2:Uh-oh, wait, no, but we can't finish. Whoa, we didn't finish the highlights. What?
Speaker 1:other highlights. Do you want to go to Well?
Speaker 2:I had the biggest one of the year. What Outside the gaming cells? 30-year anniversary man. What's wrong with you?
Speaker 1:All right you're going to say that, yes, yeah, the 30-year anniversary with the recent pro and all that.
Speaker 2:Those are big highlights, man, yeah, come on.
Speaker 1:I forgot that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the 30th anniversary edition. And for those who got one of those, god bless you, because that is the hardest thing to get right now. What's the hardest thing to get? I don't think you can get that anymore unless you're paying top dollars. No, actually I saw much they wanted for that how much?
Speaker 1:$900. Oh, not too bad Okay, because from what I'm looking at, I was like no.
Speaker 2:Mike no.
Speaker 1:No, no, no and no.
Speaker 2:No, and I thought what they did with the 3Diodeverse was dope, because I like the exclusive PS1 skin that they had, dropping almost all PlayStation skin. You know the portal, the remote the controller.
Speaker 2:I thought that was kind of cool. So I love that they did that. They did it for the Sony theme. They rocked out the whole 30th anniversary thing. They let it be known Deservingly. You guys have 30s around. A lot of people can't say they have that in any kind of field of life. So shout out to Sony Happy 30th anniversary, keep going. Strong, but that was probably the biggest. I and strong, but that was probably the biggest. I keep saying the biggest, but that is the biggest news for Sony this year.
Speaker 1:Alright, cool, cool, cool. Much respect, you actually got something right on the show. But, mr Amazing, let's go to the lowlights of the Sony PlayStation 5 for the past 12 to 13 months. Mr Amazing, let's begin with pricing.
Speaker 2:Alright.
Speaker 1:Sony PlayStation Pro launched on November 7, mr Amazing, people were skeptical, but outraged by Mr Amazing, by the price of the PlayStation Pro. I was what price was the PlayStation Pro when it launched?
Speaker 2:Was it $600? Was it $700?
Speaker 1:$700 improvement $700,. Mr Amazing $700, yeah $700. And it did not come up with, mr amazing no stand and no disc drive, which is crazy. And they want you to pay for the stand. I think it was 30 bucks.
Speaker 1:That's crazy that's just crazy for that price range, man and also different regions of the global world got got price hikes, even in the homeland, japan see the price hike. No, usa did not see the price hike. No, usa did not see the price height. Thank God, go USA. Yay, the dual cents also went up $5. Look at that, it went up $5 in September. So it was amazing. This year we started paying an extra $5.
Speaker 2:You know that right, we're going to get those hikes eventually too.
Speaker 1:Where.
Speaker 2:On these, we're going to get those hikes eventually too. Where On what you just said the rest of the regions did, we're going to get them For the console. Yeah, the console, the controller, fight out of that.
Speaker 1:It's across the board for the controller. It's across the board.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you're right, but I'm just saying in general, they're going to come to us too?
Speaker 1:I don't think so. It just cannot.
Speaker 2:We'll see.
Speaker 1:No, I think you're wrong. I think you're wrong. So all the dual cents, the Starlight, blue, galaxy Purple, cosmic Red, midnight Black, everybody gets Sterling Silver. Everybody got a price raise for dual cents. You didn't get it early on this year, everybody got a price hike. Mm-hmm, oh, mr Amazing, mr Amazing. What else do you anything got a price hike? So, mr Mazin, mr Mazin, what else do you anything else you want to say with the console price and all these hikes that Sony did?
Speaker 2:That was that, I guess, even though the fact that they didn't drop any AAA games up, some people could look at that as a low light. It is a low light, mr Mazin, we'll go into that.
Speaker 1:You could look at it.
Speaker 2:I think they had enough games to meet. That satisfied me. To be honest with you, that's like I might say it couldn't be because of the library.
Speaker 1:I was satisfied with the library this year. Yeah, I was, Mr Major. The lack of games for this fall was atrocious, Mr Major.
Speaker 2:It was, but there were games.
Speaker 1:What games? Okay, Astro Bot. Oh, I forgot.
Speaker 2:And Lego Horizon. Lego Horizon, yes, you're right.
Speaker 1:You the horizon. Yes, you're right, you know Sony is not breaking by the sales, though. Right, you know they're not blogging all over the place. That is true, and it was on Sony and on the Timber Swiss, mr Amazing which is a big surprise.
Speaker 2:There was no major exclusives. No, no, I'm not denying that. But you, actually, you might be right I can't even combat that to say something, but that was all across the board. You might be right, man Little fool, you might be right actually yeah, so even Sony with the price hike.
Speaker 1:Sony cited challenging external environment, including the fluctuation of the global market that may decrease for prices in Japan and other regions of the world for the console.
Speaker 2:Yeah, not only that, don't forget the stupid hikes on their damn services for the internet. And all that Was it this year?
Speaker 1:Was it this year?
Speaker 2:No it was last year Last year I got a source this year. I feel like there's a hike every year anyway. It might have been last year actually.
Speaker 1:Well, Mr Bazin, you already went to the Lack of Games, so we briefly discussed that. So that's the big issue and I don't know when they're going to solve that, because 2025 we don't see nothing. The only thing we know about the sequel to what's the game? Which one, I don't know. Oh, the game.
Speaker 2:Ghost of. Tsushima oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was pretty cool to see, actually, and it was another, another, another sequel to another sequel game, the Kashima game.
Speaker 1:Oh, death Stranding, death Stranding at the beach.
Speaker 2:Yeah right, that's the only game we know about yeah, and then I mean I can't see the game. The game goes back so I can't see. The year goes by so fast I can't remember what's what anymore. Correct me if I'm wrong. Another low light for Sony was the leaks. Was that this year? Was that 2024? Yeah, you said leaks. Yeah, the leaks was a low light because you know Sony wanted to keep that Wolverine game on the leaks. That game ain't coming out anytime, anytime. I thought that game might come out in 2026, but I'm reserved. I wouldn't be surprised if USA gets it in 2027, 2028.
Speaker 1:Probably 2027, not 2028.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because you know that hurt.
Speaker 1:That hurt the VR sales.
Speaker 2:Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a big one of the top ones actually.
Speaker 1:VR sales went up for a brief minute when we had the price cut. I got one. Then afterwards the sales went boom after the price cut in August. But the price cut in the holiday season is back up to $500. So, mr Amazing, the VR set was a big flop for PlayStation so far, but it should make a comeback. No, stop lying. It's on live support right now.
Speaker 2:It is, but we'll see what happens with the whole Apple and PC connection, see if it does happen and hopefully I can carry the numbers to better revenue for them.
Speaker 1:But, mr Mason, what's the bigger flop? The bigger flop is Concord, yep, the game that came out one day and gone the next day. That's right. Close five five-walk studios.
Speaker 2:Knocked out. That thing wasn't't long enough to make it to a blockbuster.
Speaker 1:Late fee man damn, mr Bazer, the African studio was shut down to the fact that, yeah, the studio shut down.
Speaker 2:Man, people lost their job over this, which, sadly, you know. This field, that's the game. You don't produce, you don't keep her rehearsal pumping them up.
Speaker 1:I heard according to rehearsal pumping them up. I heard According to what people are saying through the media. So Mr Amazing Concord, one of the biggest game at this point of all time, Mr Amazing Could rank up with ET.
Speaker 2:It could probably.
Speaker 1:So Mr Amazing and the game cost between $204 million. So that puts Sony in big time, damn Big time hole.
Speaker 2:That's why they gotta keep raising those prices, man. That's why your viewer cost that much.
Speaker 1:Hell, I missed the amazing. But let's go to trailer week. It's Daredevil. It's coming to Disney in March. Mr Amazing Daredevil Reborn. Let's play the video. Is it, Mr Amazing? They're a reborn. Let's play the video.
Speaker 2:Is it remastered? Let's find out, let's look at it. I mean, is it a continuation? It's a continuation, okay cool.
Speaker 1:Remember they said they're not going to do something different. Yeah, thank God Somebody was a pimp, slap them and said what the hell are you?
Speaker 2:doing yeah, because why break it if it's good? If it ain't broken, don't fix it so.
Speaker 1:Mr Amazing. One, two, three. Let's play the trailer.
Speaker 2:Nice, let me see this. I'm curious. All right, that's my favorite series too. I love them. We're going to bring back Luke Cage and all those others too. I'm curious, we'll see.
Speaker 3:Thank you for finding the time. I will admit it's not entirely unpleasant seeing you again. A lot of time has passed. By the look of it, you've come up in the world. I could say the same about you. The mayor serves his city. I can see you're not entirely convinced. Can you blame me? I can't shake the feeling that you're gaming the system. Why did you stop being a vigilante? The line was crossed. It's hard to come to terms with a violent nature, hating the power it has over us. The city can't go unchecked. Sometimes peace needs to be broken and chaos must reign. Am I putting the hatchet down? I was raised to believe in grace. I was also raised to believe in retribution.
Speaker 1:Mr Amazing, we're here to get a trailer Dead. They Were Born Again coming up March 4th this year. Mr Amazing, you got to get Disney Plus to watch this show. Mr Amazing, what do you think? Because this is one of the best series, all the model TV shows.
Speaker 2:Yeah, for me it definitely is man, 100% it is man. I can't wait for that. When it ended, when it was on Netflix, I was so disappointed. I was like how can they do this to me? I'm invested. But, ladies and gentlemen, it's back on. Now that it's back on, we get our main characters from the Netflix version Kingpin the Punisher is there. Waggy.
Speaker 1:Everybody is there, the whole family.
Speaker 2:The only thing is it looks like Kingpin is also on Osepix too. He lost a lot of weight, man. Shout out to him for that man. I saw the character, the actor that plays him he was. I saw the weight loss from there. I was like, okay, is he going to do it? Because, remember, prince almost beat 450 pounds.
Speaker 1:That's you know he's a big, big dude. He's 450 pounds muscle too.
Speaker 2:Well, that's true too. That's true too, but it looks good, though, man.
Speaker 1:I can't wait to march for that. But should we green light it? Red light this trailer. Green light for me, man. I guess we'll both green light the trailer.
Speaker 2:That's a no-brainer. I think that's going to do numbers All right cool. It's going to probably be up there with the Star Wars. That's the first Star Wars on Disney. What Star Wars? The Star Wars that's on the Disney thing. The Mandalorian that's on the Disney thing, the Mandalorian the numbers look really good on that too. Some good numbers up there with that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the numbers fell off in Mandalorian last season.
Speaker 2:It fell off, yeah, last season.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay, all right, mr Amazing, let's go to our Should we Care topic of the week. Mr Amazing, our Should we Care topic is Our Should we Care topic of the week is that Sony has announced at CES new, new, new, new info regarding the IP. Mr Amazing, let me go into it. Ghost of the Seaman will have an animated series debuting on Crunchyroll 2027,. Mr Amazing, that's one time.
Speaker 2:I thought it coincided With the movie, with the game coming out, yeah.
Speaker 1:Helldivers 2, we have a feature film Produced by Sony Pictures, mr Amazing.
Speaker 2:Is this in regards to the Helldivers?
Speaker 1:I've seen Helldivers 2, but Helldivers Okay.
Speaker 2:Is this in regards to the new studio that they acquired? Are they the one that's doing this, the one that we talk about? The last show?
Speaker 1:No, oh, okay.
Speaker 2:It's a movie. Oh, okay, I thought you said series like a thing A movie Until Dawn.
Speaker 1:We'll have a live action film releasing in April of this year. That's cool, that's how that goes. A new Lego Horizon Venture will have a music.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:I haven't heard any music until Okay, I don't know Okay and Last of Us will have the premiere of the new series coming this year. I believe it's in April.
Speaker 2:That's cool. I'm not mad at none of these things. That's good news, man, I'm not mad at that.
Speaker 1:Oh, did I say Last of Horizon? You said Last of Us? Oh, last of Us. Yeah, say Last of Horizon. You said Last of Us. Oh, last of Make Sure, yeah, last of Us. Season 2 released in April on HBO Max, everybody. Okay, that's what's up. So, mr Mason, so we care a lot, a little or not at all about this.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna say I care a little bit. I think that's good. I mean, it's not for me, but there's a cool stuff though, I think it's cool.
Speaker 1:I have a my thing. I think they care a lot. They're always trying to stretch their IPs.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, yeah they have a studio focused on making their IPs bigger, larger on a global scale, whether it's movies, anime and TV shows. That's why they acquired that company. Yeah, yeah, acquired that company, yeah, yeah, so that also helped by broadening out. That's what I was talking about. Oh, that's what you told me. Yeah, yeah. So, yeah, I think these care a lot. They're just only trying to make the IP big. It's like Nintendo was trying to make that. Nintendo's making the IP big with the Mario movie you know what I'm saying with Nintendo music.
Speaker 1:Yeah, of course, until the alarm clock, so we're trying to make different strides in making that money you got to come out the box, man, not just the games. I mean Xbox, someone doing it with their refrigerators and toasters.
Speaker 3:They did and they failed. They did a little refrigerator. Oh, Gene.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry, gene Gene's saying that hell show was good, that hell show was garbage. I why I said you see, I fell asleep the only time garbage, straight, garbage, straight garbage. So, mr Mazin, you care a little, I care a lot we both care at different levels, different levels.
Speaker 1:Mr Mazin, let's go to Gangsta and Wankster of the Week. Mr Mazin, okay, I kind of difficult to say Sony or put it in Gangsta and Wankster format or put it in a gangster and gangster format, but we'll say Sony recently announced two unannounced live service games. Mr Mazin, I didn't know that. Mr Mazin, one of them was a God of War live service game they were going to create.
Speaker 2:I'm happy they did it. Thank God, can I do it? I want to see a franchise go that route.
Speaker 1:It was supposed to be done by games and blend studios. The makers of uh shoot forgot the game, but they they was also gonna do uh a live service game. What?
Speaker 2:kind of game. Did they say a live service game?
Speaker 1:oh, I thought it's like a specific one, like, oh, okay I mean, was it a gangster move I saw him want to do it or wankster move? I ain't even thinking about doing that with single player studios.
Speaker 2:Wankster For me.
Speaker 1:I think the wankster is the thing where you're going to stretch your IP to live service games.
Speaker 2:No, you don't want to do that. It's a big game like that.
Speaker 1:I think they're doing a disservice to Horizon Trying to make a live service game. That's a live service game.
Speaker 3:that's coming out.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I think it's a disservice to them.
Speaker 2:Of course.
Speaker 1:Also, I think they're trying to stress the IP way too much, of course.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because sometimes when you throw too much of something at people, it turns them off. Yeah, so like nah, just leave it as your AAA game. Yeah sure Don't need to do all that other stuff with it.
Speaker 1:Sometimes something needs not to be touched. If you want to multiplayer today, you wouldn't do that. That's fine, that's fine. You know what I'm saying, but no.
Speaker 2:I agree.
Speaker 1:So I think we both. It's the Wangsta Moon by Sony, that's right. So, sony, you get the. Wangsta of the Week.
Speaker 2:Do you have any shout-out that we're going to give out? I do. Do you have one? No, I don't know. I'm Spanish. I'm a rapper, singer I don't know what to classify because I don't listen to music. Bad Bunny, yeah, bad Bunny. So I'll give a shout out to him. He's one of the top sellers, so he wants to shine more light on Puerto Rico, and not just Puerto Rico, but a lot of the Caribbean countries, but Puerto Rico is where his birthplace, arthur, is.
Speaker 1:Dominican go ahead.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so what Bad Bunny did was he made first I think it started for like 15-20 shows, but he sold out so quickly he had to add. He had to add extra shows. So what he did was to bring more business to Puerto Rico. He did a residency. Instead of going to Vegas as more people to do residency, he went to Puerto Rico and to make sure he took care of the Puerto Ricans. First, he made the first few shows. Only locals could purchase the tickets and the other ones after that are for anyone who could fly out. So because of that, tickets and shows are all sold out, hotels are all booked, venues are all things. So he's bringing a lot of light to Puerto Rico.
Speaker 1:So locals can resell the tickets and make money.
Speaker 2:You can't go unless you show ID that you live there. The first few shows are strictly for locals and the ticket sales are like 20, 30 bucks 400 IDs being sold. No, but no, the ticket sales are really cheap. So a lot of people here already are buying out and he sold out. All shows are sold out already, so that's going to bring a lot of money.
Speaker 1:Well, let's give a shout out to all the firefighters out in.
Speaker 2:LA, LA. Yeah man, that's sad. What's going on, man, Especially with that too People losing homes. Yeah man, they lost their lives. Yeah man, you know what?
Speaker 1:I'm saying, and you know, there's a lot of gaming studios out in California too as well.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah likelihood 30-40 years of living at a place that burned down to rub shabbles about slide games.
Speaker 3:I know, you're right, though I already took the Playstation X, the last you think it's about?
Speaker 2:no, I know my Switch, no, but we gotta go.
Speaker 1:Mr Mason, this is the Game of Traffic show. Everybody we're out. Please like and subscribe. This is the Game of Traffic show. We are the most interesting to show. Where are the most interesting?
